Transgender day of remembrance.
This day is observed to memorialize all the trans lives lost and to bring attention to violence against trans people.
The transgender flag was created by, Monica Helms, a transwoman, in 1999. The colors on the flag each have different meaning, the blue represents transmen, the pink represents transwomen, and the white represents anyone who feels their gender is neutral or undefined (nonbinary genders).
