Meg gave the small black box a vigorous shake holding it up to her ear. “What is this supposed to be?” She asked raising her eyebrows as she looked back at the other demonness.
Ruby rolled her eyes. “Just open it.”
“You know I don’t go for all of this romantic shit. If you want to do something nice for me you could just go down on me. That’d be better.” Meg said moving the box down from her ear.
“Hey I never said this was going to be in place of anything.” Ruby smiled “That could still be arranged. But come on at least humor me here.”
Meg chuckled “Right ok I’ll hold you too that.” She pushed open the small black box and then slowly pulled out a necklace. It had a couple of different charms on the end one look like a coin with a perfect hole through the middle… there were a couple of different colored beads and a larger metallic square with engraving on it. It had a sort of aura about it that Meg couldn’t quite put her finger on. Maybe that was the whole point. “What is this?”
Ruby reached out and took the box from her and set it on the motel room bed. Meg held the necklace balanced on the end of her forefinger. “It’s a warding charm. I heard you’ve been having problems with Crowley and his goons. It’ll help hide you from them.”
“How did you know how to make it?”
“I was a Witch remember?” Ruby shrugged and slid her hands in her pockets. “Anyways I was hoping you’d wear it.” Meg smirked “I can take care of myself you know. I’ve got Crowley just where I want him.” Ruby opened her mouth to make a snarky comment but then she held out her hand “But hey who am I to miss out on a possible advantage?” Meg slipped the necklace up and over her head, adjusting her hair out from underneath the thread. “What do you think?”
“I don’t know… I think you may have to model it naked for a better view.”

The cute thing was that Meg Masters honestly thought that her team would win. Wait, no, that wasn’t cute. Masters wasn’t cute. She was irritating, obviously, and the fact that she was currently clearing the refrigerator shelf of black iced tea just to piss Ruby off made that even more evident. Of course, she was also sexy as hell, but that was beside the point. Just because they’d been something more than enemies once didn’t mean that Ruby had to like the bitch.
“Are you fucking kidding me, Masters?”
“My girls need that little boost before the competition,” said the other girl with a smirk, tossing her long hair off of her shoulder. Ruby practically snarled. Just who did this chick think she was?
“So do mine!” she snapped.
“Well that’s your business,” shrugged Meg. Ruby crossed her arms and stared at Masters for a moment.
“What do you want in exchange for them?” Ruby asked. Meg raised her eyebrows and looked Ruby up and down.
“Seven minutes in heaven?”
“Now?” Ruby bit her lip and looked around as Meg nodded. “Fine. Bathroom, now.”
