accessory of the day is this rare glimpse of earrings <3
can't quite get over that bit in the intro to s3 where the location-text thing says "Nate's Apart-" then changes it's mind and decides that it's "Leverage HQ"
I like weird maps. I like to see people sketch out stuff. I like to see how people process information. You know. Hardison uses computers in a very intuitive, natural way. Parker was trained, as we find out this season, by Richard Chamberlain, by an old school 1960’s thief. She needs pages, she needs paper, she needs to feel stuff. While Nate is able to- you know, something that happens a little later in the season, we talk about memory techniques. Nate has trained himself to recreate three dimensional images in his head. And so all he needs is rough references and so that’s what the chess board came from. - John Rogers, 3x01 Audio Commentary

Gif 1: Hardison standing in front of his wall of screens, which is displaying a blueprint of a building. The text overlaid on top reads INTUITIVE.
Gif 2: Parker standing in front of a whiteboard with a blueprint on it, both of which are covered in stickers and hand-written notes. The text overlaid on top reads OLD SCHOOL.
Gif 3: Nate sitting in a prison common room, looking from a piece of paper to a chess board covered in pieces and some playing cards. The text overlaid on top reads THREE DIMENSIONAL. End ID.]
Okay I love what you’re going here and agree 100% about Sophie but. You are doing Eliot a deep disservice to wittle him down to “thinks in bullets.”
If for no other reason than, he hates guns. He is AWARE of bullets, but he doesn’t THINK in them.
Eliot’s probably the closest in style to Nate, but rather than thinking of it like a chess game, it’s a battle strategy. Which, you might say is the same thing, but it’s not. He thinks in men, in instinct, in blows exchanged. It’s like a dance, but punchy. Even the way he moves when fighting feels like dancing. He can predict his opponents moves and learn their style by how they stand, hold their hands, how they approach and retreat. He’s a strategist on the ground, doing what Nate does but with his body in real time.
He’s not thinking in anything so simple as bullets.

does anyone want to talk about how in s3e1 after nate refuses to go along w their break out of jail plan and then later, with zero warning, uses his earbud
hardison was just hanging out w his ear bud in waiting for nate
as nate knew he would be
no “hello??” no “is anyone there??” it’s just, earbud in, “hardison.”
excuse me. hardison is always there for nate, for all of them. in this essay i will—
