Shane Walsh + Carol Peletier Friendship

I find their interactions interesting, especially in the first season.  Shane is one of the few characters, other than Daryl, who is seen interacting (albeit not often conversing) with Carol.  When he protects Lori and Carl in the first season he sometimes pulls Carol and Sophia in his wake.  For me, a lot of the meat of this show is in subtlety - character blocking especially - and the positioning and body language in their brief interactions said more about their communication than any conversation they ever had onscreen.

Shane is still a bit of a douche in this scene though.  It may seem like he’s comforting her, but he’s only comforting himself.  He’d have done better to just wash her hands and keep his mouth shut.

I kind love this moment. At first I was I scared of what Shane was gonna do but he was sweet to her. He was like the normal/nice Shane. It brought back memories of season 1 where Shane would look after Carol from Ed and being nice to her. It was like woah there! continuity!
