Okay, so I noticed something different about her necklace today. The top pic is from the end of January and there’s no other pics where we see this necklace on Instagram until today. The bottom two show an addition to the necklace. The L for Leo! Does our boy Danny give this to her? I can only hope!

About the use of the same Sam Smith song... I've thought about it so much and the only thing that comes to mind is that it's playing off that one line and saying Leo is all she needs? In 402 it's her whole little family but in 413 when it ends, I think, with her smiling at the pic of Leo....? Maybe that's too literal but it's the only thing those two scenes really have in common is her attachment to Leo ...i hope I'm wrong 😭
I’m stumped on this one. I don’t want to read anything into it b/c it just really didn’t fit in with 4x02 but you’re right in that Leo is the recurring theme. It reminds me what MK and Warburton reiterated earlier this season:
Mindy: “It’s really fun to see Mindy love something more than she loves herself. I think being obsessed with this baby has added real depth to her character.” Matt: “To me, the funniest thing about Mindy having a baby is how it hasn’t changed her – it’s let her be more herself than she ever was because now she’s not just a narcissist, she’s a narcissist for someone else.”
Leo is without a doubt is her driving force now. But again, I’m not sure how much (if at all) that’s connected to the song choice.
I don’t really look into the lyrics and the meaning of the songs that were on TMP. But when it’s played twice, I wonder. I guess it could be a Mindy and Leo theme song or something. I liked that it’s kind of like wraps up s4A. ep 2 and ep 13. I thought the song was a weird choice in ep 2 but I guess it’s a foreshadowing way.
...Here’s some lyrics. It’s interesting. This song is like negative but then hopeful. I also think it could be Mindy’s or Danny’s POV too.

Also in the episode, they used the word ‘stay’ a lot. In the flashback, for Mindy to stay working at Schulman’s is to change the work place. Stay to change. But in present time, Mindy wants to change..like moving back to her apartment. (But, she goes back to stay with him for a bit.) (This seems like it’s not going to be a breakup but them on a break?)
Danny: Hey I think you should stay. Mindy: No, thanks. Danny: No, thanks? I'm saying I'm not having you fired for your extremely fireable offense. You could stay and have the job of your dreams. Mindy: Yeah, I know what you said, but today was just too traumatizing for me, Danny. You're a very rude man. And the culture in this office is so cold and competitive, you know? I need to be friends with people I work with. I want happy hour and Secret Santas. Danny: I could maybe be like that. Mindy: No, you couldn't. Danny: Well, if you want to change things, stay and make them different.
Danny: I hate to tell you, but it fits. Mindy: Okay, I'll stay. Danny: Good.
