I have an issue. And that issue is Judith Grimes. For those that have seen the Richonne chat, I've made it clear that her attitude turns me off. Sunday's episode, though?
"I knew RJ was good for something!"
I damn near slapped my tv. This shit is tired and so am I.
I'm tired of a 10 year old being treated as if she was the same level as an adult. Yeah, she can fight walkers. So could Carl, except Carl had rules, a curfew, BOUNDARIES.
It's obvious they are setting her up to take on the lead someday. While that's fine (for some), the progression of her character means very little if she's already a brilliant, adorable, a bad-ass born leader who can do no wrong.
Her smarm and her sarcasm would be bad enough, but the main target always seems to be her mother. It seems out of character for Michonne to accept and even encourage Judith when she acts this way. Carl did that in Clear and Michonne took charge and told him how things were. And. He. LISTENED.
Judith can be tough and be respectful. It just isn't required of her. A lot of folk like it but I'm not here for Mary-Sue Grimes. It's not cute.
