i admit i haven’t even slept properly since the Carol/Daryl spin off was announced. it’s still so hard to believe this is not a dream. i love these characters so much. we’ve all suffered through seasons of barely any Carol screentime and now my girl is the leading lady of the apocalypse with her own show along her bff/love of her life/soulmate Daryl Dixon.

when their show actually goes on air in 2023, this legendary ship will be close to 13 years old. can you even grasp the importance of such a strong beautiful bond between 2 characters, portrayed by these 2 great actors that bring out the best in each other, lasting more than a decade on tv. it’s so surreal. the Caryl bond survives the end of twd. they have redefined words like legendary and iconic. i’m so emotional over this.

now when can we officially call Carol a Dixon? i need this. Carol Dixon has such a nice ring to it. @amc, make it happen! go wild, and name the spin off the Dixons.

are you as overwhelmed with all these feelings as i am or are you normal?

I have been shipping Caryl for ten years.

After a decade of pining for them, I have come to the zen conclusion that I don’t need them to *kiss* or do anything onscreen to know they are canon. Daryl and Carol love each other. This is an indisputable fact. You can see them as friends. You can see them as lovers to be. But you cannot plausibly deny that they love each other and that’s enough for me.

When I think about Daryl, Carol & Lydia heading to Alexandria, I can’t help but assume they’ll get their own home. Daryl and Carol living together….working together to help heal this abused girl and, in turn, heal themselves. Please let this happen. Please let us see it.
