never actually seen this brought up on tumblr before so here goes: please do not sexualize jrwi characters! do not make suggestive fanart, do not write smut and do not make jokes that go further than what you'd see in the actual episodes!

it's rude and disrespectful to the crew, doesn't matter if they see it or not! please be mindful of this

adding onto this with a few other important things!

1. calling the characters "hot" and things of the sort is okay!

there was a "hottest jrwi character" poll on twitter going on a few months back, it became pretty big and condi was openly on board with it and even put this in his bio after jay won:

so although sexualization of characters isn't okay, it's pretty safe to assume that they're fine with stuff like that!

2. shipping characters (within basic boundaries, as in no inc€st, no adult/minor ships etc) is okay!

although ships between characters have never been a problem, the crew did state they won't be making any pairings between two player characters real, as it is uncomfortable for them to play out. please don't push it on them (as well as any other ships) and don't get your hopes too high for any pc/pc ship to be canonized!

3. making edits/fancams is okay for all the boys except condi!

don't have the screenshot, but condi did state he is not comfortable with fancams and things of the sort being made of him. if you look through jrwi fancams and things of the sort you'll notice he is often omitted - instead people tend to use his pfp.

4. nsfw of characters is not okay!

i already mentioned this above - please don't do it, and remember that even jokes can go too far! if you have trouble judging wether something is okay or crosses the line, try to think wether it would make the crew uncomfortable if they saw it - if so, do not post it!

5. using images of the crew as pfp's is not okay!

the boys don't appreciate using their face as a pfp! their jrwi characters are fine to use as an icon or background (with proper credit to the artist, ofc - you can always find who drew the thumbnail in the description of the video!), however grizzly mentioned he still considers finding something of your own to use "more fun" and encourages it!

6. lastly, this is just general fandom etiquette, but headcanoning canonically queer character as a different sexuality than they are is not okay!

i realize most people probably don't do it on purpose, as characters sexuality isn't really mentioned in the episodes, so here's a list of canonically queer jrwi characters - please don't change their identity in your headcanons, it's erasure!

taxi the tabaxi (the fated) - pan

jay ferin (riptide) - bi

gillion tidestrier (riptide) - asexual

kasper (convergence) - heavily implied mlm

edit: some queer npcs and oneshot characters! ezme (riptide) - genderfluid, thardo (the fated) - gay, jacquot (the fated) - bi, strangle macock (convergence) - implied mlm, paulie (spy oneshot) - mlm, cyrus (spy oneshot) - mlm

i believe that's all! although none of these things have ever really been a huge problem within the community, as the fandom grows we get more and more people that aren't always well-meaning. if someone is making you uncomfortable do not give them attention, just block and move on. if you have unknowingly made any of those mistakes, delete the post and avoid repeating it in the future. stay safe and respectful!
