Sun to Mars Synastry

Conjunction: FIRE for physical attraction. They play off each other’s energy. Although the Sun’s pride can get in the way and Mar’s anger. There is a low-key competitive vibe that honestly could stimulate them and glue them together… but has the risk of becoming negative too.

Trine: Instant attraction? Likely. Sugar, spice, and mostly spice. There is a lot of desire, lust, and heat here however if desires are not met the heat can become unpredictable and too much.

Sextile: Strong physical attraction however the attraction may blind each other to problems in the relationship. Here we see compatibility in the bedroom, but watch out for lust over love. There is a sense of good energy and vitality between them. They can keep up with each other.

Opposition: Magnetism and curiosity can be intense. But the self and another’s energy/assertion clash. This relationship is heated in the bedroom and with arguments. Passion exists but these two need to work on containing that passion to something that connects rather than creates war.

Square: An aspect known for indicating a lot of fights in a relationship. Pride and ego of one person clashes with another’s will, energy, and desires. Competition can exist along with a desire to put another down, they may even grow to hate one another. A positive from this combination is an opportunity to learn peace, forgiveness, and tolerance. If this pairing can overcome a desire to “win” or to “dominate” the other they can make a dynamite team when going after a goal. Sun leading the way with ideas and Mars with action.

Inconjunct/quincunx: Things can feel off. Both can feel sensitive to “threats” to one another - many times those threats might not be real. Sun finds Mars to be too intense somehow and Mars finds Sun to be too defensive, unmoving, or maybe arrogant. This can actually be a great aspect for learning and growth. Once these two try to mingle they may find their clashes to be a challenge worth taking, something entertaining or stimulating, a dynamic that sheds light on where both are willing to improve.

Semi-sextile: These two are going to face challenges in learning how to handle one another. Confusion and bad communication may be the leading cause for conflicts. The Sun views themselves as yellow, Mars is trying to get with the Sun, believing they are red. Disappointment and frustration can be common among Mars. Sun can become annoyed and confused by Mars. With good communication this becomes a bond where the Sun doesn’t threaten Mars and Mars appreciates the Sun.

Sun to Sun Synastry

Conjunction: There is recognition and relatability. They boost each other’s ego at times. They boost each other’s beliefs or more so their experience of the world. Almost like an echo chamber for the identity and self. Lots of understanding but can annoy or smother with similarities.

Trine: Harmony among how each person’s “self” works, easily earn respect and trust from another, is an indicator for a long-lasting relationship. Note any trine at times can feel “too comfortable” for some people - there is a lack of challenges and stimulation.

Sextile: There can be a difference in personality that is balancing or at least doesn’t get in the way of each other. Can indicate support for each other, give and take, they learn from each other. Ego’s tend not to compete or clash.

Opposition: Lots of fascination but watch out for different approaches in life. May try to compete with each other. Are sensitive to misunderstandings and small conflicts with each other. Can threaten each other’s sense of self or be jealous towards one another’s identity. If respect and understanding is reached they can learn a LOT from each other and even make up for one another’s weaknesses.

Square: A clash in ego, disharmony among identities. Tends to be tension and frustration with this aspect - usually there needs to be a lot of easier aspects involved for these two to come together. Could drain one another’s energy. But we can see big ego changes and lessons here.

Quincunx/Inconjunction: Presents challenges but both or one person are very likely to learn and grow from. Themes of building up self-esteem, swallowing pride, letting go of the ego’s needs are apparent in these types of relationships. This is a union of self-reflection.

Semi-sextile: Two ships in passing. Typically a quick lesson or insight comes from this relationship. Short lived support or advice or maybe short lived turbulence that has greater meaning later on and separate from the actual bond. Maybe easier or stronger aspects tie these two Sun people together. If so this gives a sense of awareness or awakening to who each other is from the union. They see the other person, themselves, or both in a new light at some point.

Sun & Moon Superstitions

Sun

  • To move in a circle against the motion of the Sun (counter-clockwise) will invite the powers of darkness into your life.
  • If you sweep dust in the direction of the Sun you are destined to never be wed.
  • The Greeks regarded the sun as an all-seeing eye, and believed that no deed escaped its detection.
  • The appearance of three suns, it is said, denotes war. It is claimed that they are only visible at sunrise, and differ in size.
  • The head of the bed must never be placed toward the rising sun, since it will cause the sleeper to rise with a bad headache, and even insanity may result.
  • In Germany it is the custom on St. John’s Day for hunters to fire at the sun, believing that they will thereby become flawless hunters.
  • For the sun to shine upon a bride is a good omen.
  • The Mexicans say when it rains, and the sun is shining, a she-wolf is bringing forth her offspring, or a liar is paying his debts.
  • If the sun shines while it rains, the witches are baking cakes.
  • When the sun does not shine, all treasures buried in the earth are open.
  • To dream you see the sun shine, shows accumulation of riches and enjoying posts of honour in the state, also success to the lover.
  • To dream you see the sun rise, promises fidelity in your sweetheart, and good news from friends.
  • To dream you see the sun set, shows infidelity in your sweetheart, and disagreeable news. To tradesmen, loss of business.
  • When the sun sets on a cloudy day, the following day will be a stormy one.
  • In the Scotch Highlands they still “make the deazil” around those whom they wish well of. This superstition consists in walking three times around the person according to the course of the sun. To circle in the opposite direction or “withershins,” is productive of evil, and brings bad luck.

Moon

  • The full moon is good to start a new job, and to finish old business.
  • Cucumbers, radishes, turnips, leeks, lilies, horseradish, saffron, and other plants, are said to increase during the fullness of the moon; but onions, on the contrary, are much larger and are better nourished during the decline.
  • The moon seen over the right shoulder brings good luck, the moon seen over the left shoulder, brings bad luck.
  • Being poor when in presence of a new moon was thought to bring bad luck. Having a few silver coins cancelled this out.
  • If a girl is curious about whether or not she will wed, she should hold a silk handkerchief up in front of the moon. The number of moons that she sees represents the number of months until her wedding day.
  • The full moon gives a very favorable energy for divination. If you keep a moonstone in the mouth during the night of a full moon, you have the power to see what awaits you in the future.
  • Children born on a full moon night are said to become very healthy and strong.
  • Sick people should not look at the full moon because in this way, they will delay their healing.
  • Deaths occur most often when the tide is going out, and births occur when the tide is coming in.
  • At first sight of the new moon, flip a silver coin and make a wish.
  • In Roman times, to have a healthy baby, women wore silver crescent moons on their shoes.
  • Charms and amulets in the shape of a crescent moon, are used to protect you from the evil eye, witchcraft, and bring you wealth. The crescent should always point to the left, representing the moon’s first quarter, when things prosper and grow.
  • You will be caught if you try to commit robbery on the third day of a full moon.
  • It is said that “When the New Moon holds the Old Moon in its Arms”, meaning that a ring is seen circling the New Moon, ships will be lost at sea.
  • Pointing at the moon is unlucky.

Moon in the 1st and 4th, Sun in the 1st and 4th, Saturn in the 1st and 4th: There may be difficulty separating the identity from one of the parents, or from one of their expectations. The presence or lack of one of the parents is profoundly influential. Some part of the individual always desires parental recognition for their demonstration, action, and productions

🌥 Sunset Magick Guide 🌥

  When the yellow sun fades

After burning so brightly for the entire day, the sun has started to set.

This is the sun that is trying to say goodbye. She’s also encouraging us to let go of our past mistakes and fears, even our past lives. This isn’t a bad thing; it’s completely necessary. This sun teaches us to move on to the next part of our journey.

Tips!

🍊 Get as good of a view of the sunset as possible! I swear this one gets skipped a lot!

🍊 Where you are performing sunset magick can have a different effect on spells. A seaside sunset might have a different vibe than a mountain sunset. Some witches have a preference when doing sunset magick, and some don’t, which is completely fine!

🍊 It’s a lot safer to charge light-sensitive crystals at this time

🍊 Sigils charged at this time have a softer energy, similar to sunrise sigils, one I find more calming than energizing

Spells

🍊 Spells for understanding and dealing with your fears

🍊 Spells for helping or coping with loss

🍊 Spells about past relationships or lives

🍊 Ending spells (i.e. ending a relationship or a chapter of your life)

🍊 Finalizing rituals or sealing pacts

🍊 Spells about decisions or people you are unsure of

🍊 Questions about mortality

🍊 Spells for rest and recovery

Other witches please feel free to add anything else you can think of!

☀️Sun water☀️

🌞Used for:

Protection, healing (especially physical), happiness, truth, clairvoyance, courage, strength, prosperity, luck, self-love, cleansing, confidence, leadership, justice, gardening, growth, warmth, comfort, fertility, and creativity

🌞How to make it:

Leave the water on a sunny windowsill or outside, preferably in direct sunlight. Sunrise, 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm are perfect times for this, or you can leave it from sunrise to sunset. You can also add herbs and flowers to it as well (lemon peels, orange peels, marigolds, chamomile, cinnamon, sunflower, etc.) Or charge it with some stones (like sunstone, orange calcite, citrine, tigers eye, goldstone or carnelian), but please don’t put these stones in the water. You can also make a sun tea with sun water for a very potent solar spell.

Yesterday I’ve made a new batch of my Sun oil and I realized that I don’t like the way I used to do it. So I updated it. This is a real good example that your witchcraft is really personal and definitely evolves over the years and months. Please feel free to add or remove any ingredients. I made this new blend bc I have more herb knowledge than I did 1 ½ Years ago and I’ve added all the herbs that made sense for ME. There are many different properties of the herbs, so if you find a herb that makes more sense to you feel free to substitute one of mine with yours ❤️ But I would raccomand doing this when you’re in a good moon or high in energy.

☀️You’ll need☀️ > Cloves { good luck, prosperity, protects from negativity from the outside like gossiping} > Juniper berries {protection and purification} > Bay leafs {cleansing} > Cardamom {inner strength and I just looove the smell} > Rose and/or Lavender {gentle and soothing energy} > Lemon and/or Oranges (Peels or essential oil){Sun energy and association, also used in cleansing rituals or baths} > Citrine (or any other Stone you associate with the Sun) {Sun energy and overall energizing stone} > Optionally an Orange Candle {Sun association}

☀️Procedure☀️ > Cleanse all your ingredients and place them into a container > Say a little blessing or incantation. Mine went like this “This oil contains the energy of thousand suns” and Imagine a sun glowing in your container and after you fell that there’s egough energy you imagine the Sun fading away. > Add your carrier oil and close the lid. Shake thoroughly (Any vegetable oil can be one. Sunflower, Olive and Rapseed oil are the best for this since there aren’t pricy) >Now, if you’re doing this in the evening (like I did bc let’s be honest you don’t always have time to be witchy) put an orange candle in front of the Container and let it burn down (I used an Ikea candle). If you’re doing this during the day let it sit in the sun and don’t let it touch Moonlight on the first day. > After that you can leave it on your windowstill for as long as you wish (I’m going to leave mine for 3-4 weeks, depends how inpatient I get). To drain it you can use a panty hose if you don’t have a cheesecloth like me.

This oil can be used up to 3 Months or longer. Just look out for mold on the bottom (That happened to my old batch)

“You want an award for that?”

Where Leo falls in your houses can show where you want validation from yourself and others. This can manifest in expressing yourself in a certain way, and then expecting others to praise you in return. Where your Sun is on your natal chart will show why you want that validation. Of course, aspects to the Sun would diversify the expression.

There’s nothing wrong with being validated or getting validation. Just remember that validation is given from the heart (the body part that Leo rules ironically,) not from obligation!

Leo Ruling the Houses

Leo ruling the 1st House: You want people to validate you when you act like yourself, whether it’s good or not.

Leo ruling the 2nd House: You want people to validate you when you treat yourself, whether it’s needed or not.

Leo ruling the 3rd House: You want people to validate you when you talk and share your thoughts, whether it’s needed or not.

Leo ruling the 4th House: You want your family members to validate you, whether you were helpful or not.

Leo ruling the 5th House: You want people to validate you for your hobbies, whether you’re good at them or not.

Leo ruling the 6th House: You want people to validate you for your everyday activities, whether it should be a given or not.

Leo ruling the 7th House: You want people to validate you when you talk to them one-on-one, whether they want to or not.

Leo ruling the 8th House: You want people to validate you when you reveal your secrets, whether they wanted to hear it or not.

Leo ruling the 9th House: You want people to validate you when you express your beliefs, whether they agree with you or not.

Leo ruling the 10th House: You want people to validate you in public, whether they want to or not.

Leo ruling the 11th House: You want people to validate you for being a good friend, whether you were a good friend or not.

Leo ruling the 12th House: You want people to validate you on things you are not aware of and/or hide, whether they know it or not.

Sun in the Houses

Sun in the 1st House: You want people to validate you because you believe that the validation will make you more aware of yourself.

Sun in the 2nd House: You want people to validate you because you believe that the validation will bring you confidence and security.

Sun in the 3rd House: You want people to validate you because the validation will make you smarter and more intelligent.

Sun in the 4th House: You want people to validate you so that your family will appreciate you and/or so that you get closure from the past.

Sun in the 5th House: You want people to validate you because you need that validation to help you drive your creativity, hobbies, and romantic relationships.

Sun in the 6th House: You want people to validate you so that you can use the validation to help you with your daily routine and everyday activities.

Sun in the 7th House: You want people to validate you so that it can help you accommodate to others and enhance your interactions with people.

Sun in the 8th House: You want people to validate you so that it may provide a chance for you to express something you’ve hidden so that you can be intimate with others.

Sun in the 9th House: You want people to validate you so that it can help you orient your beliefs and open your mind to the world.

Sun in the 10th House: You want people to validate you so that it can help you improve your public image and reputation.

Sun in the 11th House: You want people to validate you so that you can maintain a good status in your friend circle and community.

Sun in the 12th House: You want people to validate you because you believe it will help you find who you truly are.

Benefic Planets

The Sun (Moderately Fortunate)- This is where we infuse a part of our identity, overcome obstacles and confront areas of life that hinder our advancement. Once overcome, we usually come out of this area with a stronger sense of who we are, our sense of identity compared to others, a sense of purpose and direction. Our shining light can be found in this house, our sense of vitality.

The Moon (Moderately Fortunate)- This is where we encounter sensitivity and respond to the needs of those around us often in compassion. We are also influenced by conditioning and habits here as an echo of the past, for better of for worse, yet we also look for belonging and safety. Fluctuating circumstances will likely follow the waxing and waning of the Moon, yet there is often creativity and intuition here also.

Mercury (Often leads towards being more benefic)- This is where we are often curious, somewhat restless, where we quest for knowledge and information. We remain eternally youthful in this area of life, often with the ability to bounce back under hardship. Mental talents will likely be found in this house, where the intellect gets to fully flex its muscles.

Venus- We long for peace and harmony in the house of Venus, where we are able to find value, to love and be loved. Creativity, taste and consideration can also be found. Vanity and disappointment at something less than ideal can also be present here, as well as seduction, deceit and envy. Mostly, there is often a connection with others in this house, no matter the obstacles.

Jupiter- This is where we seek wisdom, wish to expand, and where we often have a lucky card to play. Dangers here can come from recklessness or an over optimistic attitude wishing to get away from the routine of mundane life, where we want to experience something in its fullness. An interest in Law and justice over the houses themes can also be found in the area of Jupiter. Mostly, this house will be full of positive vibrations and will.

Anonymous asked:

I heard the 12th house is hidden enemies? I have my Sun there does it mean my hidden enemy is a masculine figure?

People with sun in their 12th house have conflict/issues with the father somehow, if that’s what you mean, but usually the hidden enemy is themselves. Almost always, people with planets/stellium in the 12th are their own enemies and I find that they may blame others for their pain when in reality, they’re the only ones bringing themselves down or holding themselves back. That’s why it’s “hidden enemy” because no one thinks about themselves as being their own enemy, they may even reject/deny the idea.

Crier Type Based on Moon Aspects🌙

Harmonious moon/sun aspects: Passionate-crier; You cry when your ego and feelings are insulted or threatened, which is reasonable, yea? Both parts of your identity usually co-align with each other, so when you’re insulted you either rationalize your feelings ~or~ take it to heart because you take it as insulting your being x2, because sun&moon are both parts of your identity (thus, getting ~passionate~ about yourself).

Discordant moon/sun aspects: Dramatic-crier; You cry when you’re utterly conflicted with yourself because you are constantly at odds with your wants and needs and you tend to want to blame someone for it (when in reality, it’s just you debilitating yourself).

Harmonious moon/mercury aspects: Logical-crier; you cry when your intelligence is insulted, but you’re logical with your emotions because you thoroughly examine them before crying. You can get uncomfortably and oddly expressive when you cry though, (e.g laughing while crying) and people are like, weirded out by that.

Discordant moon/mercury aspects: Irrational-crier, animated-crier; You tend to anxiously take comments to heart, as a personal attack on your feelings&opinions, even if the matter probably didn’t concern you. This is because you have trouble separating your logic/feelings. Verbal diarrhea of feelings can become a problem and you have mood swings while you’re crying (eg. angry one second, laughing the next) and again, weirds people out~

Harmonious moon/Venus aspects: Sweet-heart-crier; You cry when you’re lonely! Venus is about relationships/connection with others, moon is your feelings. You seek emotional connections with others and when you don’t get it, it takes a toll on you. However, you tend to put the needs of others before your own because you would hate to be bothersome to others and this can build up, so be careful…you’ll become the attention-seeking-crier.

Discordant moon/Venus aspects: Attention-seeking-crier; You’re prone to being emotionally dependent so you especially tend to cry when you’re lonely. Only difference is that you feel people should dote on you&show you affection when you cry because you would personally do the same for them, yea? But you must remember that acting out kindness and expecting rewards in return isn’t genuine kindness.

All moon/mars aspects: Angry-crier; Very simple~ you cry when you’re angry or frustrated, when you can’t express your anger in the way you want to, #tantrum alert

All Jupiter aspects: Exaggerated-crier; You cry when you feel emotionally confined, which is reasonable, but your emotions easily inflate; you cry when there’s a minor inconvenience, no matter how petty the matter, and tend to blow things out of proportion. Your feelings overflow and with the influence of harsh aspects you get so pessimistic about everything after that minor inconvenience (hence, further exaggeration)

All moon/Saturn aspects: Suffer-in-silence-crier; What is crying??? Kidding! You cry but you keep it to yourself because you believe structuring yourself is important, to always look composed no matter what.

Harmonious moon/Uranus aspects: Freedom-crier; These people are very good at distancing themselves from emotions, yet know how to be emotionally present, making them emotionally aware. That distance from their emotion is their “emotional freedom” and so they’ll likely react over a situation involving it being threatened or taken away.

Discordant moon/Uranus aspects: Unpredictable-crier; The moon represents your feelings, Uranus is a livewire, it’s shocking and different. Put them together and no one knows why you react the way you do; in other words, no one knows why you cry?? Emotional delays are so common with these two together and for that reason their emotions are unpredictable. This makes the person emotionally unaware, perhaps emotionally unstable. They must learn to confront their feelings but distance themselves at the same time.

All moon/Neptune aspects: Drunk-crier, escapist-crier; Whether it be drunk on alcohol or drunk on your daydreams, you cry over everything; and this is because you feel the emotions of others and your own, very empathetic.  As a result, you may resort to closing into your mind because you perceive the real world as being too much for you.

Harmonious moon/Pluto aspects; Soulful-crier; You’re so in tune with your emotions and the emotions of others and still know how to handle all of it. You tend to cry during emotional turmoil, because Pluto enhances and intensifies emotions. When you cry it’s an ordeal, but you’re renewed in the end, you have grown from the experience.

Discordant moon/Pluto aspects: Conspiracy-crier; You’re so suspicious! You mostly cry when you can’t handle emotional crisis. You also tend to cry when you feel your trust is betrayed, but with harsh aspects sometimes your trust wasn’t even betrayed you’re just overly skeptical, because you have #trust issues. You then proceed to feel like everyone is against you, but keep it to yourself because you get extremely private and secretive with your emotions and this can get very self-destructive, so be careful~

Solar Magic

So we hear about lunar magic all the time; it’s a big part of witchcraft, but that doesn’t mean the sun doesn’t have anything to offer!

Differences Between Solar and Lunar Magic - Solar magic is more potent. Moonlight is made from reflected sunlight, so it stands in theory as well as practice that sunlight is a lot more intense! In some respects, because of this they have opposing traits; lunar magic is more subtle, and better suited to either gentle or ‘slow-burn’ type magic. Solar magic is fast to act and can do so with more of a ‘bang’ - there may be some unforeseen effects! I like to think solar magic is more enthusiastic than lunar; it wants to go the extra mile, but will power through before giving you time to consider. In solar magic, a little truly goes a long way

- Solar magic walks a fine line between growth and destruction. Just as warmth nurtures growth, it can also wither life away. You’ll want to keep a tight hold on it to make sure it’s doing exactly what you want. Limitations on your magic are everything. That being said, it’s also a very powerful component in curses

- It takes a shorter time to charge crystals and pendants with solar magic than it does with lunar! Many lunar charging/cleansing techniques I’ve seen ask for the item in question to be left in a window where it will be exposed to moonlight all night, but doing the same with solar power may take an hour or two at most. I live in a desert where I get intense heat from the sun most days out of the year, so for small spells I’ve found a few minutes is all I need. You do want to be careful with those destructive solar qualities though; you can see it most clearly in how sunlight fades colored quartz. I’ve found some of the best vessels for carrying solar power are Tiger’s Eye, Red Jasper, and Clear Quartz. A tech witch could also use mini solar panels to hold solar magic!

Beneficial Solar Magic Providing warmth Burning away negative influences Weathering down/fading strong influences Fiery shield Nurturing life Illuminating truth

Detrimental Solar Magic Burning others down Making others fade Dehydration Blinding
