The first incarnation of this bottle was a loose incense to burn on a charcoal disk. It originally just didn’t have salt. It was made for my father, who had a problem with his heart and was having trouble with day to day activities. 

You could forgo a seal and choose to burn the mixture on a charcoal disc, it’s up to you. 

I ended up using pink salt for aesthetic again at the top. A kind of bookend to the intention to purify the body. 

This little spell jar is my own personal recipe for protection! You can light a candle while you make it and make sure to repeat your intent as you layer the ingredients. This simple but effective little jar contains:

Sea Salt

Ground Sage

Rosemary

Bay Leaves

Lavender Essential Oil (you don’t have to use an essential oil, i use it because I don’t have real lavender)

May this jar bring you protection and cleansing.

a bath spell and coffee scrub for motivation and clarity

coffee scrub ☕

☕  1 cup coffee grounds ☕   1 cup sea salt, finely ground ☕   ½ cup coconut oil ☕   store in airtight container.

scrub instructions:

mix together in a bowl, melt coconut oil slightly to mix ingredients, cool to semi-solidify mixture.

bath soak spell  🌊

🌊   pour bath, charge water with seashells. 🌊   remove shells to avoid breaking them and being harmed by them. 🌊   mix in ½ cup dried milk to the water 🌊   line edges with shells and light a white candle 🌊   stay in the water and charge, rinse and drain.

Feather-set’s Protection Satchel to Ward Off Ex-Lovers

This satchel idea was brought to me from a friend’s friend who went through a painful, abusive relationship. They left their harmful partner and wanted to find a way to protect themselves so that they can keep the ex-partner away. 

What it does: this satchel will help protect you from an ex-lover or abusive partner that you’ve decided to break contact with. This helps protect you from toxic people who might otherwise take advantage of or hurt you. 

Before making this satchel: make sure that you’re not going to allow your harmful ex back into your life. Don’t call them, text them, stop them on the street to say hello, etc. Do not allow them to puncture your space by any means. And if they do manage to come up to you, leave as soon as you can. 

What you’ll need:

Casting: You are free to cast the spell however you wish, though I would recommend burning a black candle while you put the items into the satchel, saying the intent of the pouch as you fill it. Chant something like 

Everyone’s casting styles are different, so you are free to do your own version of whatever spell you want to accompany this. 

Meditate on the purpose of the satchel. Feel the powers of the herbs and stones protecting and holding the items that represents you; in turn, imagine your psychic shield wrapping around you, protecting you from the harmful person’s presence. 

Wear the satchel on you when you’re out or feel uncomfortable, until you feel safe and secure knowing they will no longer bother you ever again. 

Why I chose these items: I’m very fond of plant/herb magick and crystals, so there’s one. Salt is a very protective mineral that is very commonly used to ward off negative presences. Rosemary, sage, and bay leaves are also protective. Rose thorns are the shield that roses, the symbol of love and frailty. Hematite, onyx, and other dark crystals are protective, especially hematite. Black is a strong colour, and is very defiant and protective. 

Starlight Sugar Scrub

A scrub spell to cleanse and promote feeling lovely.

You Will Need:

🌟 1 part Himalayan Pink Salt 🌟 1 part white sugar 🌟 1 part sea salt 🌟 2-3 tablespoons coconut oil (or other oil of your choice) 🌟 1 drop Lavender or Rose Essential Oil 🌟 Optional: White Body Safe Glitter 🌟 Small container 🌟 Popsicle stick or something else to mix with Use: Use on your skin to cleanse yourself and to feel beautiful. Gently apply to skin and apply in clockwise motions. Let sit for 5-10 minutes then gently wash off with water.

Self love and healing spell bottle

You will need: An incense cone/stick to burn (I used frankincense for protection and purification) Rose quartz chip (encourages self love and aids emotional healing) Lavender (healing) Peppermint (protection and healing) Rosemary Incense ashes Sea Salt

Steps: Start by burning the incense to purify the space. Add all ingredients while focusing on your intent and visualizing your negativity and pain being put into the bottle. Light the candle, close and seal the bottle.

New Moon Herbal Bath

Since the New moon is coming up i figured this would be a good time to post this. this bath is meant to help cleanse you negative energizes while helping you sync with the New Moons lunar energizes. 

Materials Needed:

Mugwort should Never Be handled during pregnancy or if you are trying to become pregnant.

Sea Water Replacement 🌊

🌊  maybe you don’t live near the sea or ocean, or maybe you haven’t been able to get to the shore. by combining from a few to all of the following ingredients you can create a seawater equivalent to use in spells. 

🌊  gather and combine in a jar:

🌊  combine as many ingredients as is possible for you, to create a magical water as similar to real seawater as you can manage.

🌊  you can strain the ingredients out for better storage after they have charged the water with their properties sufficiently. 

🌊  store normally, unless it has seaweed in it, in which it should not be stored for more than a few days, lest it mold. 

Spell for a new job

I’ve used this once on my brother when he was seriously job searching and he got a job in 2 days. (remember nothing falls in your lap you gotta work on top of spell work)

thing’s you’ll need

OKAY NOW FOR THE ACTUAL SPELL 

(if you cast circles before hand do so now, I did for this particular instance just because I felt like I needed all the help I could get)

anoint the candle with your oil and break up your cinnamon stick and use a specifically sharp piece to carve things in like “new job” or “job” or anything you associate with a new job, like coins, or dollar signs.

Place the candle in the middle of whatever you have to put the candle on (I have a specific blessed black plate that I use for all my candles) and sprinkle the sea salt and the broken cinnamon stick in a clockwise circle around the candle, and take 3 slices of the fresh ginger in a triangle around the candle, then take 3 deep breaths to prepare for the spell.

Take a fourth piece of ginger and put it in your mouth, lay it on your tongue. Focus on the heat and imagine that that fire in your mouth is speeding you toward getting a job. Light the candle then say ~

“ I shall get this job and get it quick, earning money without a hitch. This job will keep me safe and sound, this job will soon come around”

While saying this imagine getting a check in your hand, no specific amount just a check from a job. Take the piece of ginger then bury it as close to your front door as possible. This ginger will bring in  job opportunities. If you live in an apartment complex then you can bury it or just place it close to your apartment’s main door way.

Banishment Bath - Love and Memories

Use: Roses are strongly associated with love, passion and memory.  With this ritual bath, it will aid in banishing persistent negative memories that hurt you and repelling unwanted romantic and sexual attentions.

What you will need:

A new moon night

Sea salt

Rose Petals (dried or fresh)

Candles (tea lights work fine and white or black can be used)

Storm water (optional)

Rosemary (optional - for added boost on the memory and purification)

Directions:

New moon cycles are great for banishments and new beginnings, because of this you will want to have your bath on the night of the new moon. Set your circle within your bathroom.  Now you will need to pull out your candles.  The number will vary but you will want one candle per memory or persistent pursuer of you for this ritual.  If you want it to be a generalized ritual, a pillar candle is recommended.  Light your candle(s) thinking specifically about what you want to banish and once that is done, begin to draw up your bath water and turn out the lights so you are left with your candle light. 

While you are filling the tub, pour in some storm water if you plan to use it.  The amount is up to you.  If you are not using storm water, put in the salt now so it can have time to dissolve.  Now throw in your rose petals and your rosemary too if you are going to use it.  After you have filled the tub, climb in and soak.  Now is the hard part.  If you are banishing painful memories, you will need to think on them again, how they made you feel, why they hurt so much.  If you are trying to banish and repel unwanted attentions, you will need to think on them and acknowledge why they make you uncomfortable.  Take a deep breath in, hold it and then exhale, releasing the memory with it.  State to yourself that what’s done, is done and it will not change now.  Acknowledge that it hurt and then state that you no longer give it power over you.

When you are finished with that memory (or person) drip some of your bath water onto the candle, extinguishing the flame, picturing it’s influence being snuffed from your life.  Repeat until you have gone through all of your candles. If you would like to sit a little longer in your bath, you may do so and focus on the water cleansing you of what holds you down.  Get out of the bath when you are ready and do a bit of self care.  :3

Safe Travels

Magical Chalks

Magical chalks are amazing tools. You can use them to write sigils, glyphs, or to add some oomph to a circle.

Basic chalk recipe:

Mix up some plaster of paris and water together until you get a stiff paste. Mould it into a cylinder shape and let dry up to 24 hours. If you feel like adding color to your intenet, you can add food coloring to yhe water, or mix the plaster of paris with acrylic paint.

Cascarilla chalk:

Mix one tablespoon of flour, a tablespoon of water and 6 ground eggshells together. Let dry up to 24 hours. You may color this in the same way as you did for the basic chalk.

Cascarilla chalk is used for protection, or to draw the witch’s round.

Banishing chalk:

For this one, I don’t reccomend combining it to the cascarilla chalk. I would go with the plaster method. In a mortar and pestle, combine black pepper, cayenne powder, cinnamon, sea salt, sulfur, allspice, basil, black salt, cigarette ash, garlic powder and chilli flakes. Grind it into a fine powder, the consistency of plaster powder. Combine the powdered ingredients with the plaster, and wet using vinegar instead of water.

Use to draw banishing glyphs, or sigils to repell entities or certain people. Also used to draw boundaries on the go.

Summoning chalk:

Grind dandelion, sweetgrass, thistle, and tobaccco into a fine powder, mix into your plaster or cascarilla mix. Add water and mould into a stick.

Use this chalk to draw the summoning seals of spirits, or to draw unto something you would like to attract spirits with.

Empowerment Spell Bottle

My craft is quite personal. I just follow my instincts and choose things that seem to call to me at the time, so you won’t find me posting spells very often. But as I was making up this spell bottle I thought I’d post it to inspire others to create something similar or to add a little magick to their holiday season.

This bottle contains:

-water (from my home) -a few drops of sweet orange essential oil (to keep my family close) -lavender buds (for less stress) -rose buds (for love) -bay leaf (for prosperity) -catnip (for my kitty) -sea salt (for luck in my craft) -dandelion (so my wishes come true)

While placing this bottle under the light of the holiday full moon, I will chant:

With this elixir I ask the Earth to be with me now and in this year’s new birth.

I plan to dab the charged water on my wrists and behind my ears throughout the year to empower me and remind me of my goals from the previous year.

Edible Spell and Witch Bottle for Protection and Nurturing

Remember the potato casserole I told you about? Well, here’s a fun way to turn it into an edible spell, with a bonus spell bottle. And a trick to make the dish tastier. What more can you ask for? I mean, seriously.

You take a clean bottle, or a jar, and in it, you combine:

Sea salt, rosemary and garlic are all used for protection, rosemary and garlic are also used for health, and there is nothing that can invoke nurturing and growth better than milk.

Then you shut your receptacle tight, give it a little shake, and let it sit in the fridge (no longer than 48 hours though!). For that time, it acts as your protective spell bottle, working from the inside to ward off evil or unhealthy influences. And then you take it out and use the spice-imbued milk to make gratin dauphinois, which is your edible protection and nurturing spell. Eat it yourself, or share with those you think need some of that.

The New Year Purification Bath

The new year brings endless possibilities, so why not start with a fresh slate? 

Ingredients: 

When preparing your herbs & minerals, be sure to cleanse yourself and your space with sage (or other preferred cleansing method). Enchant your herbs reflecting on your past year. Think of regrets, old habits, or painful memories that you would like to learn & let go. Embed your new year resolutions for a clean slate! 

I always like to pick a rose petal for each significant person that has brought love and joy to my life that they may continue to fill my life with positivity & humbleness into the next year.  

Bath Time…

Right before your bath take a piece of paper and write out all regrets, old habits, or painful memories that you would like to learn & let go. Burn the paper and picture your aura become clean as the paper burns. Dispose of the ashes and then relaxe and let your magic bath do the work! 

Helpful Tricks! 

Hi, cuties! Today’s jar is something that is all about moving on, letting go, and healing! I know we have all suffered a broken heart before, so I made a little something special to help! 

First, I want to start off by saying that it DOES get easier, and I know it hurts right now, but with time, it gets easier. It’s important to love yourself right now and not forget that your self worth doesn’t come from other people! Let’s get on to the jar!

For this jar, it is so important to focus that intent and believe it! Imagine yourself happy, full of life without the person, speak truths about yourself and what you are and who you can be without this person! You can say things like–

“Without xxx I am still beautiful.” “I release myself from the pain of this relationship” “I no longer am bound by pain from xxx” “I have moved on to greater things. “I deserve better, I will have better.” Don’t forget, you don’t have to have someone’s approval to be happy or worth anything! You are beautiful and talented and amazing, you rock, and you will be happy again! You can also write a little freedom statement and roll it up and put it in your bottle if you would like! 

After you are finished, you can cork and seal up your bottle with wax, I use colors in correspondence with my intent, this one being pink (I wanted to use silver but I can’t find silver candles?!) I have a tutorial for how to seal bottles like this here.
