Do you know and Spells/Rituals i can do to help someone stop drinking alcohol? I know that a spell or ritual cant solely help but maybe perhaps a spell or ritual to invoke realization?

I wanted to take some time to answer this because I feel like it’s a very sensitive ask. I’m glad you already know that a spell or ritual can’t and won’t be the thing that changes the situation. Whomever this ask is about has to want to give it up themselves and rituals can only do so much and you have to be careful what type of spell you cast because it can easily backfire if they are really resistant. My advice to you in this situation is to practice some protection and healing spells rather than focus on trying to get them to stop. Protection spells can help to keep them safe and healing spells can help to guide them towards emotional clarity, balance, and well-being. I hope these spells help and give you some peace of mind. Please note: when casting or doing another ritual for another person (especially if you’re trying to heal them), make sure you cleanse yourself and your space afterwards to prevent accidentally binding yourself to their energy.

Old Habits Begone spell: This is a great spell to break habits that no longer serve us. This is a good one to do either tonight or in the next couple of days after the full moon.
Spell for the Burdened Heart: This spell can be used on yourself to keep you from being overwhelmed by the situation and it can also be used to help the other person.
Spell for Emotional Healing and Moving Forward: This is another good spell that can be modified to suit the other person.
Here Comes the Sun: A spell for when you’ve lost hope and want to get it back. This one is mainly for you, in case you get discouraged by their behavior. I know it can be really hard to watch someone you care about do something that isn’t good for them and it’s easy to feel frustrated.
Self-love and healing jar: This is a good one that can be given to them as a gift, if they’re open to it.

A Basic Wishing Spell (Green Witch Edition)

This is a basic (the most basic of basics!) wishing spell in the Green tradition. All you need is an intent, a seed (it helps if it’s for a plant corresponding to your intent, like summer savory for a good season or lavender for luck in love), some dirt, a planter, and a piece of paper.

On the new moon, write your wish or intention on the piece of paper, and push it deep into the earth of the planter. You may wish to pour earth on top of it. Then, plant your seed above the paper spell, with intent. The idea is that, as the seed germinates and grows, it takes your wish with it. You must nurture the plant that grows to nurture your wish or intention.

This spell can be performed within a circle, during the New Moon esbat, or as part of a spring or autumn rite. Happy casting!

Star Water

The idea for this comes from this post!

For me, stars represent power, protection, purity, illumination, enlightenment, guidance, and hope. With that being said, Star Water can be used for a variety of things.

Ingredients:

Distilled water
A pinch of glitter (whatever color you like)
A sealable container

Add a pinch of glitter to your container of distilled water - this represents the stars
Program your water to absorb energy from starlight
Set outside or in a windowsill to charge overnight

Suggested uses: to anoint items, to cleanse or enchant items, to add to the bath, in spell jars and sachets, to simply represent the stars

Major Arcana Spells: The Stars Silver Lining

A spell to bring back hope, encourage optimism, and renew faith in times of darkness, and to protect you from what is harming your hope/faith.

You will need:

The Star Card
A Star Charm - 3 pieces
Silver yarn
Candles
Clear night
Space outside

Using your candles create a circle space outside, Light each one then place the card in front of the one you’ll be facing. Take this moment to look at the card, and think or silently meditate on the situation.

When you’re ready begin to braid the silver threads, half way through braid in the star charm, then carry on braiding. As you braid chant;

Silver Line & Shining Star, Renew my hope, deflect that which seeks to mar. Weave your power into this charm, Renew my optimism, steer me from harm.

Put the charm on and lay back, looking up at the stars. Take a while to think - let you’re mind wonder. Blow out the candles, pack up, and wear the charm.
