5th House Hobbies

The 5th House rules over creativity, leisure activities, hobbies, activities, romance, and children. In this post, I will be focusing on 5th House related hobbies for each sign.

Aries: Hobbies are energetic, tough, bold, original, and impulsive. Examples being playing sports, running, driving/riding, horse riding, playing war/violence related games, being outdoors, exercising, aerobics, controversial/bold art or writing, anything that boosts adrenaline

Because the moon is associated with the mother, it can indicate that your parenting style may mimic that of your own mother or maternal figure and that maternal influences will be heavily present for your child or in regards to your own parenting inspiration.

Mercury in 5th: When you have mercury in 5th it can be indicative that you have a very childlike and enthusiastic energy about yourself and thus get a long with children quite well. The planet mercury is quite communicative and creative in nature and so it can indicate that you will have a rather curious and active child and your parenting style will involve learning, travel, and/or more intellectual and curious activities.

Mars in 5th: When you have mars in 5th it can be quite indicative that your parenting style is rather active and maybe even a little impulsive. Much like sun in 5th, mars traditionally holds more “masculine” energy and so it can be indicative of having a male or a child with more traditionally “masculine” traits such as energy, ambition, and competitiveness. If you’re able to have children than it can indicate you may have a rather difficult or even fast pregnancy in the sense that it wasn’t planned or you didn’t realize you were pregnant at first among other things.

Venus in 5th: When you have venus in 5th it can be indicative of being a rather maternal and feminine influence on your child as Venus has been traditionally associated with “feminine” energy. These individuals will likely bring a rather feminine influence surrounded with beauty, music, and the arts into their children’s lives and their children will often be quite gifted or involved in such matters. Because of the feminine influence, much like moon in 5th, these individuals may often have a girl or a child with more feminine attributes.

Pluto in 5th: When you have Pluto in 5th it can be indicative of having quite an intense and maybe even “obsessive” parenting style. Perhaps even a controlling or “fearful” parent who feels the need to know what their child or children are doing at all times. It also indicates having a child who may be quite ambitious and challenge authority and overcomes and transforms through their family and home life. In terms of pregnancy, having Pluto here can indicate losing a child (although this can be more metaphorical in the sense of the child grows away from the parent(s) with age).

Neptune in 5th: When you have Neptune in 5th it can be indicative of having a rather creative, imaginative, and artistically minded child. Perhaps even a child who is “out of touch” with reality due to their imagination and way of thinking. When it comes to your parenting style, you may find that you’re having a hard time with connected to your child’s wants, needs, and desires because of the “illusion” that Neptune brings or simply there’s a lot of absence on your part mentally &/or physically due to travel, Job, personal issues, etc.

Uranus in 5th: When you have Uranus in 5th it can be indicative that your parenting style is quite individualistic and trusting in the sense that perhaps your children have a lot of freedom and ability to do as they please a lot of the time. Saturn in 5th: When you have Saturn in 5th it can be indicative of teaching your children responsibility from very early on. When it comes to pregnancy it can be indicative of having a rather difficult time getting pregnant, getting pregnant at a later age, or even experiencing surrogacy or adoption. As a parent, it’s rather important for you to teach your children responsibility perhaps even so much so you’re rather strict and don’t have a more “emotional” connection with your child(ren).

Due to the expansive nature of this planet, it may suggest being quite fertile and/or having many children. Isabel Hickey describes it as the 5th house is our expression of sex, and the 8th house is our attitude/perspective towards sex & intimacy. The 5th house is a lot more casual, fun, spontaneous, romantic sex while the 8th house is soulfully merging with your partner, intimacy, becoming one together through sex. Finding all the dark ugly parts and embracing them together as One existence.

It’s also interesting to consider that our 5th house could be our sex lives before marriage and the 8th house is our sex live after marriage and how intimacy influences us/affects us. 5th House / 11th House - Love given and received

the 5th house represents love given and its opposite house on the other end of the axis, the 11th house, represents love received.

the signs of these houses color the way in which we give and receive love and planets in these houses show what we give or receive- or not. they can show our problems with giving or receiving love too, our inhibtions, restrictions and struggle with that.

especially saturn and pluto indicate problems with this theme. venus and the moon are very favourable on the other hand.

people with moon in the 11th house for example are said to be really popular.

Both the seventh and fifth houses rule over romance. However, there are a few key differences between them. While the fifth house represents dating and other types of romance for fun, the seventh house represents marriage.
