Neptune /Mars Aspects

Most people on tumblr have Neptune in Sagittarius, Capricorn or Aquarius,  since it is a generational planet.

For the purpose of this blog post, I am using Mars in Leo as the same interpretation as Mars in the 5th house, as well as Mars in Cancer as a synonym to Mars in the 4th house, and so on.

I have this article set up so that you can put together your Mars with your Neptune. Apply this info to you to understand how these parts of your psyche relate to each other. This is psychological astrology.

By knowing which planets are strongest in a person, you understand their most prominent motivations.

This is a powerful tool in psychoanalysis.

Mars opposite Neptune is a polarization between (Mars) your drive, your passion, your anger, fighting nature, and (Neptune) intoxication, Neptune opposite Mars means you have a hard time being motivated because you are confused about which way to turn/which project to take on/which methods to use. Feeling like something is always holding them back, this person has trouble fighting for what is right. When they’re angry, they are confused about how to express it or be constructive to create a solution, instead of asserting themselves effectively. This person could have an inconsistent libido, as Neptune dissolves Martian passion.

Mars square or quincunx Neptune is much like the above description, but rather, a tension or adjustment instead of a polarization.

Mars conjunct Neptune is a person full of a mystical passion, but they often feel fatigued. It’s difficult for them to direct their anger, their desire to fight clashes with their peacemaking abilities. They’re confused about what to do with their passion.

Mars trine or sextile Neptune transmutes their anger, they have a gentle fighting nature. They can turn their divine inspiration into action. This might even be the best indicator for effective psychic skills. Mars aspects direct the energy of a planet they are connected to. Neptune rules mediumship, channelling, clairvoyance, and astral travel, so when Mars makes a positive contact, the person is able to do these things if they consciously direct their energy to it.

I use the minor aspects as well…

Houses 1, 3, and 4 say a lot about our childhood and upbringing, whereas houses 9, 10, and 11 say who we grow up to be, how we assert ourselves out in the world based upon our earlier influences. You can turn a reading into a story by describing how someone’s background (1st, 4th, and 3rd houses) led them to where they are now. If you start interpreting charts this way, you’ll gain deeper psychological insight. The easiest way to do this is to connect someone’s 4th house planets and IC, to to their 10th house planets and MC, but you can get creative and perceive even more about what is embedded in someone’s subconscious and how it plays out in their life without them realizing. By gently bringing to light the patterns in a person’s psyche, it can bring clarity about why this person is going thru various situations in their current life.

Mars in the 1st house or Mars in Aries –you present yourself as someone not to be messed with, you project a pushy presence, and you persistently move thru life with a straightforward attitude.  But lets say you have it opposite Neptune in the 7th house, you may lose yourself in a romance or business partnership, as you see others as having kinder intentions and you turn out to be wrong.

Mars in the 2nd house or Mars in Taurus –you’re driven to earn your own money but often spend it hastily, you value being straightforward and fighting for what you care about with all your strength, you’re a warrior about your principles. You steadily go after what you want.

Whichever house Mars is in can be the area of life that you are hasty.

Mars in Gemini Or Mars in the 3rd house –you had hostility during grade school, abrasive siblings, and you’re a driven learner

Mars in Cancer, OR Mars in the 4th house –indicates hostility in your upbringing, you were raised with a pushy parent(s)you are hesitant in expressing your anger and it can come out in a subtle way, you like to know you have power over someone’s emotions…

Mars in Leo, OR Mars in the 5th house –there were ego driven fights with a family member… you’re motivated to do things for yourself and don’t always consider the greater good… you’re straightforward in your creative expression… when you like someone, you express it with passion rather than being coy about it…

Mars in the 6th house or Mars in Virgo –you’re driven to get things done in the real world, as you have an inner need to feel useful, though you reject the Neptunian parts of yourself that are more dreamy and impractical.

Mars in the 7th house or Mars in Libra –eagerly seeks lovers, this person might make the first move. They struggle to assert themselves, as they’d rather please others and they are afraid that if they stand up for themselves, it will cause more drama, so they end up holding resentment over unresolved conflict. They’re hesitant to tell someone off because they’d rather not be perceived as rude. It’s hard to move forward or decide where to put their energy because the weigh out all the options.

Mars in the 8th house or Mars in Scorpio –symbolically, the 8th house is making the most of the passion that the planet holds before being weakened as it steps into the 7th house and below the horizon. Mars in the 8th is a go-getter who achieves from the vigor in their soul! Take Neptune into consideration to see if this aids or hinders Mars. Scorpio was ruled by Mars before Pluto was discovered, and the 8th house is a very strong placement for Mars. Neptune’s desire for intoxication may distract this Mars from their determination.

Mars in the 9th house or Mars in Sagittarius –you’re more enthralled by higher learning than the remedial drill of typical school subjects. Neptunian states of altered consciousness might induce greater spiritual understanding that this Mars craves, or it may lead them astray.

Mars in the 10th house or Mars in Capricorn –you’re controlled in your expression of anger and cautious in your actions. You are thorough in completing tasks and you strive to succeed. Being challenged at work brings out your high energy levels, you might require pressure in order to feel motivated. When life is too easy, you eagerly ask, “what’s next?!” You likely reject the Neptunian parts of yourself as you’d rather climb to the top than be bogged down in Neptunian dreams. You are not a pushover, as those with strong Neptune might be more weak than you. You are a dominant person who assertively persists thru life!

Mars in the 11th house or Mars in Aquarius –You are unpredictable, as you might get angry all of a sudden. It’s difficult for others to understand what motivates you and what sets you off. You are driven to assert your independence and flaunt your weirdness. You have more energy when you are working towards something that benefits humanity.

Mars in the 12th house or Mars in Pisces –The frustration and anger of the collective rushes thru you, leaving you feeling burnt out.

…Neptune in the 1st house –other people misinterpret who you are, you feel like you have a hard time creating the identity you want because others project their ideas onto you, assuming the way you are without actually getting to know you.

…Neptune in the 2nd house –can be irresponsible about managing money, it is difficult for you to keep track of how much you are able to spend. You probably deny this, but you’re unsure of your own values. Since you don’t know your own worth and your capabilities, it makes it difficult for you to earn money.

…Neptune in the 3rd house –suggests that your sibling(s) mislead or deceive you. If you do not have siblings, you may experience unclear communication with school teachers. Neptune in the 3rd house has a hard time grasping concepts and their logic can be faulty. You’re probably not the best at memorizing, when you are pressured to learn, you become reluctant to give your all to academics.

…Neptune in the 4th house –you created your own imaginative world during childhood, later to realize all the burdens of the world. Perhaps your parents didn’t have a plan of how to raise you, so you feel this inner haziness deep within you. You carry disappointment about life, feeling melancholy. You were deceived by your own family at some point. Your image of one of your parents was likely a misconception, later in life to realize that they weren’t as great of person as you perceived them to be when you were younger.

…Neptune in the 5th house –you are uncertain in how to handle your ego. Though you have a mystical creativity, you have a hard time expressing it or following thru with creative projects. Without realizing it, you derive your artistic inspiration from higher realms, you channel angels of creation when you play your instrument of choice. When you paint/draw/write, allow yourself to let go of your mind and see what flows out, and then other worlds will flow thru you. Ecstatic dancing and movement meditation would be great for you. Altered states of consciousness provide you with grand inspiration. This could be reaching a mental state called “flow” where you are so immersed in what you are doing that you aren’t thinking about anything else, time flies in this state, as you’re fully in the present without mental chatter. As long as the person doesn’t let this “flow” state to interfere with the goals of Mars, the urgent tasks that they need to do, it is a great thing.

…Neptune in the 6th house –when your health isn’t top notch, it causes you to direct your energy on your inner world (if you have Mars in the 12th, 4th, or 8th house), or in teaching yourself (with Mars in the 3rd or 9th house), rather than being pragmatic in the outer world. Some people with Neptune in the 6th are not productive the way society expects you to be, then again, others will overcompensate by being extra productive and hard working, as the 6th house can suppress Neptunian qualities.

…Neptune in the 7th house –by putting others on a pedestal, you later experience disillusionment.

Whichever house Neptune is in can be the area of life that you become disillusioned.

…Neptune in the 8th house –indicates deception with shared resources, others may take money from them, or this person is vulnerable with intimacy, losing themselves in close connections…

…Neptune in the 9th house –uncertain of your beliefs, you’ve probably been disillusioned by religions and colleges.

…Neptune in the 10th house –part of you that reaches for a lofty utopian way of life, climbing a tower of spirituality, but in a more intellectual way if it is in Aquarius, or a cautious way with Neptune in Capricorn.

…Neptune in Aquarius, OR Neptune in the 11th house –you grow up to be more selfless, thinking based on the collective needs, what is best for humanity as a whole, learning from whatever mistakes you and your family member(s) made before. You are reaching towards objective thinking, you’re rationalizing rather than operating out of pride.

…Neptune in the 12th house (or Neptune in Pisces but that only applies to transits/predictive work as Neptune first entered Pisces in 2011 and will first enter Aries in 2025) –this is a chance to have spiritual visions and transcendent experiences. This person has a strong connection with god, and could even have psychic dreams. Their deep understanding about life and the universe must be kept locked away as they could frighten fainthearted souls with their depth.

“The healthy shaman, he who heals the tribe, does not fall victim to the kind of archetypal possession that so easily afflicts the contemporary Neptunian. He dances his god-dance, then puts down his mask and returns to ordinary human consciousness. A similar process takes place in the theater. An actor, like a shaman, trains himself to take on another personality—in ancient times, this was always the personality of a god. He wears the mask, dances the dance, chants the sacred chant—and then he is done. The tribe has been healed. The sense of catharsis so important to the Greek dramatists has been achieved. Archetypal possession—the surrender to collective Neptunian illusion—takes place when we are incapable of removing the god-mask. How then, shall we manage the force of ecstasy—the direct line to the world of the gods which seems to be the province of all Neptunians, for better or worse? How shall we teach ourselves to lay down the mask of the sacrificial god, or the wild man, or whatever mask we have chosen for ourselves? The myth of Dionysus suggests two answers. One answer is: a love relationship based on the highest Neptunian ideals. The Neptunian is typically attracted to relationships that have a savior-victim quality, and this is often unhealthy. It is only by concentrating the focus of a relationship on transcendence, that the Neptunian heals his or her own inner longings, and achieves maturity of soul. Neptune has been called the higher octave of Venus, and Venus is exalted in Neptune’s ruling sign, Pisces. This suggests that Neptune’s highest manifestation is universal, all-encompassing love and compassion. Similarly, the Neptunian can choose to make a descent into the unconscious, to face the world of dreams and images which makes his or her life a joy and a torment. The Neptunian may choose to confront Pluto, the dark lord—or, in this case, the dark lady—of the underworld. But the mother may eat her child if he ventures too deeply into her domain. For the Neptunian, a direct descent into the unconscious may prove fatal. But if there is sufficient courage, it may also lead to salvation.”

Pisces Venus, Sagittarius Venus, Venus in the 12th, Venus in the 9th, Neptune in the 7th, Jupiter in the 7th, Neptune-Venus aspects, Jupiter-Venus aspects

Glitter eyes and daydream sighs, the indvidual imagines a partner who personifies a divine aura and thus sees the beauty in everyone upon first encounters, subconsciously looking for an angel. Has awfully low and impossibly high expectations simultaneously; small gestures are interpreted as something grander and one sets themselves up for disappointments when realizing their love interests are only human with mundane affections. Usually, these types draw to optimists, and charitable persons of a humble and wise nature. Love is almost regarded as religion; one “believes” and “has faith” in Love

Aquarius Venus, Aquarius moon, Uranus in the 7th, Venus-Uranus aspects, Moon-Uranus aspects

Romance begins with a jolt of interest, but the feeling is brief and one is soon looking for a different experience to set off the original flicker of stimulation. These types are the epitome of contradiction when it comes to love, as they orbit around partners and the idea of relationships, yet seek freedom, space and independence from them. The indvidual takes a mind-centered approach to relationships, so often seeks partners they can learn from, who are socially aware and who don’t follow a conventional or restrictive perspective of relationship

Aries Venus, Scorpio Venus, Scorpio moon, Venus in the 8th, Mars-Venus aspects, Pluto in the 5th, Mars in the 5th

May view love antagonistically due to a fear of being subdued within a relationship. During other times, the indvidual can take an impulsive “all or nothing” approach to relationships. The romantic experience must be a rush of intense physical and emotional attraction that sparks the heart into a frenzy of flutters and waves of excitement that run deep and linger. These types tend to seek out partners of a passionate, magnetic and equally immersive but empowering nature. Love is then not perceived as their greatest weakness, but their greatest strength

Capricorn Venus, Capricorn moon, Saturn-Venus aspects, Venus in the 10th, Saturn in the 5th, Saturn in the 7th, Moon-Saturn aspects

Desires a kind of union that ‘ages’ beautifully, a traditional “grow old with me” kind of relationship, yet one is too fearful of the responsibility that comes along with love. Affections seem cold and forced, as there is a fear of rejection and abandonment that causes one to sever potential binds before they begin to form and require expectations to live up to. During other times, it is not uncertainty holding one back, but a test of selfishness that needs to be overcome. Seeks a kind of person that is dignified, classy, publicly graceful and is willing to be mutual mentors; someone to learn from, grow with, and share their dreams with

Anonymous asked:

Why do pisces/neptune-influenced people romanticize pain?

Pisces/Neptune-influenced people absorb all the pain around them and they don’t understand it or why they’re feeling it. They romanticize it so that they can cope with it, and so that they can put it in a perspective they’re able to comprehend; pain is a part of their identity, their essence as individuals, and their purpose in life. Contextualizing it or interpreting it as something beautiful turns it into something constructive. Otherwise they’d drown in it. Pisces/Neptune people are easily ruined by life because they have no inborn way to handle it healthily. And when I say things like they’re “ruined by life,” I mean it in a spiritual way – it hurts all over & throughout, and it can change them in negative ways. So when they romanticize this “ruination,” they are beginning to learn how to cope, process, & heal. It’s the start of a metamorphosis.

Neptune - Cosmic Clairvoyant

Neptune in the 1st: Spirit glows through active self expression, universal empathy and receptivity, clairvoyance, the auric field, and the eyes that create a gateway to the soul. They wear the many faces of angels

Neptune in the 2nd: Spirit is channeled through the body and they move in a form of ritual or worship. Spirit also speaks through voices inside and the voice itself, the sensory experience such as song lyrics that are extremely moving, lights flashing, manual creativity

Neptune in the 3rd: Spirit conduits through the mind as thought and natural  curiosities, intuitive visions, automatic writing, direct verbal messages from guides, environmental elusions, lessons and vibrations, telepathy, books falling from shelves

Neptune in the 4th: With direct access to spirit guides, spirit channels constant messages through immediate environment, dream and imagination, always quietly active. humanity is the spirit family where they can call for angels, psychic abilities, telepathy with mother,

Neptune in the 5th: Spirit channels through the physical and auric presence, intangible creative inspiration and demonstration, the heart, the climax of creativity, intuitive speculation that wins the game (winning ticket/bet)

Neptune in the 6th: Spirit conduits through the medium of service and devotion to larger-than personal causes and flows through the hands, also through the physical body as they sense to anatomical degree people’s pain, symptoms, and distress

Neptune in the 7th: Spirit stares back in the mirror and channels through people they consider ‘angels’, especially empathic lovers, also through chills or ‘vibes’ up and down the spine, psychic receptivity to partners like they become a personal clairvoyant

Neptune in the 8th: Spirit flows consistency from the unconscious and leaks invisible intuition over everything, ghosts and apparitions find them, visions and night terrors, the Goddess conduits through intimate union, orgasm and transformation, urges to come as close to death as possible without dying

Neptune in the 9th: Spirit conducts from the higher mind directly into the physical experience creating interactive symbols, messages, and synchronicities, feelings in the ‘gut’, mentors, precognitive visions, natural curiosities

Neptune in the 10th: Spirit channels through the vision, faith, and the individual’s spiritual mission - offering divine service, empathy, salvation, and art to the masses, also feelings in the ‘bones’, universal compassion and receptivity that draws everybody into their psychic field

Neptune in the 11th: Spirit conduits through the mind and its prophetic precognitive visuals (especially about friends and worldly events) dreams, social connectivity that releases the creative source, channeling stars, and delivering the spiritual direction

Neptune in the 12th: Spirit evaporates the physical body so the experience is all inclusive with the mystical, there is no boundary between worlds and no way to determine what world something comes from. The psychic reception is active at all times, but it doesn’t make sense until the person withdraws alone

Neptune in the 4th House

The 4th House represents several things: our past, upbringing, and what keeps us comfortable. The 4th House is in the bottom of the chart, and it often provides a strong starting point and foundation for the native to work upon as the native grows up. Planets in the 4th House show the person investing part of themselves in maintaining this foundation.

Those with Neptune in the 4th may not have a truly correct and tangible idea of what their foundation of life is like. The foundations and values they were built up with can be a lot of things, but at the same time, nothing at all. These foundations and values may have been brought up by their family, or through the native’s past experiences. The native’s family and past are often secretive, yet confusing. With this confusion, a lot of the effects the native has gained from their past and family seeps out without the native consciously knowing.

The past of the native with this placement is hazy. The native may not talk much about their family, past, and upbringing because the native doesn’t know the past clearly. If the native does talk about the past, the native can fabricate stories and lies unconsciously, only noticing after the words have spilled from the mouth. Since the past is unclear, the native may be desperate and put on rose-colored glasses, thinking that an inaccurate view is better than no view at all.

There could be thoughts that a false foundation and past is better than none at all. The self after all can be built and strongly influenced by the foundation of the 4th House. If the native does not have a base, how can the native have a strong sense of self? The native can subconsciously and desperately seek for a past and family to cling onto to maintain a sense of self, even if it doesn’t exist. However, with this lack of existence, having Neptune in the 4th can provide the opportunity for the native to develop a foundation that is truly creative and true to themselves.

The family the Neptune in the 4th native may have grown up in was hard to describe. It may be hard for the native to know what was expected of them in the family, since the expectations can go from one extreme to another without the native noticing it. Perhaps the expectations are known, but the native has no idea on how to fulfill those expectations. These expectations depend on the sign ruling the 4th House.

The image of the native’s family can be very hazy for the native. One of the parents may have worked hard to maintain a certain image or ideal, and if the image and ideal wasn’t fulfilled, the parent may have tried to cover up that fact by putting on rose-colored lenses. Perhaps the native saw their past and family through rose-colored lenses. After all, secrets were never told, and a beautiful image may have been strongly maintained for the sake of tangible existence.

The arts may have been a strong factor in the native’s family. Perhaps one of the native’s parents was artistic, creative, and compassionate. The parent may have been influential in an understated manner or through the undercurrents of the family dynamic. However, one of the parents may have had a strong use of substances. Those with Neptune in the 4th may have had to take care of one of their parents due to the parent being unable to care for the native. One of the parents may have been very secretive and also manipulative, often making a strong tie to the native. There is often a strong tendency of victimization throughout the family.

Those with Neptune in the 4th House may dream of a home, past, or upbringing they never got. Perhaps they know what their past and upbringing looks like. They may dream of a comfort that doesn’t exist, a home that is impossible to realistically implement. Having Neptune in the 4th House can provide a native a strong base to be creative, sacrificial, and loving to others. However, the native can struggle to establish boundaries in other areas of their life, since they were raised in a life with little to no boundaries in the first place.

Neptune in Fire signs The generations of Neptune in a Fire sign (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) have proven that you must act on the change you want to see and nothing is simple to achieve. Usually, the generations of Neptune in Fire signs experience wars or any other form of battle during their teen or adult years that impact the world heavily. They could aspire to live in a world thats free of violence and where they are free to roam around, create and do as they please. A world with no rules.

Neptune in Aries American Civil War & First Transcontinental Railroad Neptune in Leo World War II & Golden Age of Hollywood Neptune in Sagittarius Gulf War & Chernobyl Disaster

Neptune in Earth signs The generations of Neptune in an Earth sign (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) have proven that you never know the worth of something until its gone. These generations tend to go through tough situations concerning money, work and power. Through this, they aspire to make things right and may want to live in a financially stable world with an abundance of resources, but also believe its out of reach. They want nothing but to live in a safe, stable and secure world.

Neptune in Taurus World War I & The Panama Canal Neptune in Virgo Cold War & The First Computer Neptune in Capricorn Great Recession & The War on Terror

Neptune in Air signs The generations of Neptune in an Air sign (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) have shown that no rule or law in the land can restrict you from expressing yourself. Usually, they grow up witnessing or taking part in radical social movements that obviously go against traditional values/beliefs and social norms. The generation of Neptune in Air signs wish for nothing but peace and acceptance for all. In a world free to express themselves with nothing holding them back.

Neptune in Gemini The Roaring Twenties & The Women’s Rights Movement Neptune in Libra Civil Rights Movement & Space Race Neptune in Aquarius LGBTQ Rights & Black Lives Matter Movement

Neptune in Water signs The generations of Neptune in a Water sign (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) have proven that in times of crisis you hold your loved ones close and break down barriers together. Usually, these generations show us how to dig deeper within ourselves, to do some self-discovery and transformation. They wish to find a home within themselves if they cannot build a secure relationship with their loved ones and also to feel comfortable in their own skin.

Neptune in Cancer The Great Depression & The Dust Bowl Neptune in Scorpio Sexual Revolution & The Fall of the Berlin Wall Neptune in Pisces N/A

Important Notice Upon research and analysis, during the young teenage-young adult years is when the generation of Neptune starts to really awaken. Since Neptune is known to cause delusion, it is extremely possible that the generation of Neptune was not aware of what was happening around them at such an early age. It isn’t until they start to get older that they see all these unfair or unjust things happening around them that they start to take part in it or be sucked into it. The generation awakens. Uranus is the generation fighting and rebelling  for the change they want to see. It is the generation of Neptune that just craves peace in the end.

Moon-Neptune  Moon conjunct Neptune, Moon square Neptune, Moon trine Neptune, Moon opposite Neptune, Moon sextile Neptune

When Neptune and the Moon make music the emotional spectrum can be oceanic. The individual is tapped into the whole sensory orchestra of the collective, mood shifts by the Moon become fantasised by the waves of Neptune, enveloping the individual entrancingly, transporting them to lagoons to pure feeling, euphoria, and ecstasy, and sadness, and deep melancholy. Moon-Neptune individuals have permeable boundaries, they can become cocooned by the mood of the room, leaky and vulnerable. The individual is an impressive empath, capable of reading body language and hidden emotion well. It can be impossible to deceive these people with lies that, ‘you are fine’, because they can feel sadness in your eyes and in your spirit. These individuals can be psychic children, often developing profound empathy as young children, receiving invisible signals and hidden details. The imagination can be wicked with Moon-Neptune. Triggered by emotion, the fantasy world can sketch a murky ocean of darkness, prophetizing chaos and torture. So this vivid imagination can turn self destructive, depending on the mood or environment. The artistic expression can be rich here, any form of creative essence flows from two cosmic waterfalls, music, painting, writing, cinema, glamour, dance, any experience that mimics the creative activity of God. This is the illusion of all illusion, a lunar dreamboat riding into Neptune bay.

my chart is a fucking joke sometimes

as someone who’s strongly aries dominant, i usually get PUMPED and MOTIVATED when I want to excel in something but like it’s hard to be motivated when the ruler of all that is in the 12th house… like i easily get so exhausted every time i want to work, and it sucks!!!!!

honestly, i know i’m stupidly ambitious but it’d be nice to have energy to get close to it??? i’m honestly laughing at my mars in the 12th and pisces in the 6th

IMO Pisces is single handed the most malefic of all signs (and neptune of all planets.)  If you do a chart for someone all you need to do is look at what house Pisces rules (or house Neptune itself is in) to get a general idea of the confusion/ sense of loss or mystery someone deals with.  Sometimes I would go as far as seeing the subjects of that house are a “blank spot” in a sense

Here is a basic diagram I look at using Whole Signs.  I won’t highlight everyday detail; but basic.

Aries Ascendant (Pisces in 12) / Neptune in 12

Confusing dreams.  Sense of loss when alone.  Mystery surrounding imprisonment.  A sense of confusion or loss leading to the self undoing. Confusion about dealing with grief and sorrow.

Taurus Ascendant (Pisces in 11) /  Neptune in 11

Friends that are Pisces like.  Friends that are confusing.  Friends that are addicts.  Friends that promote the self undoing.  Confusion in regards to hopes and aspirations.  Mysterious surrounding personal aspirations.  A sense of loss dealing with technology.  Missing innovative talents.

Gemini Ascendant (Pisces in 10) /  Neptune in 10

Confusion regarding the career path.  Mysterious father figure.  Pisces type father.  Spiritual Authority Figures.  Escapist bosses.  Self undoing tied to career.  Self undoing tied to interacting with authority.  The reputation is of a mysterious person.  Known for self undoing.  A sense of loss comes through recognition.

Cancer Ascendant (Pisces in 9) / Neptune in 9

A sense of loss of higher educational goals.  Mystery surrounding personal morals or beliefs.  A loss or lack of desire for long distance travel.  Mysterious interactions with foreigners.  Confused about sharing information.  Self undoing comes through problems with the law.

Leo Ascendant (Pisces in 8) /  Neptune in 8

A sense of loss about transforming themselves.  Confused about how to change.  Self undoing comes through intimacy and sex.  Psychology is a confusing subject.  Lost about what to do with shared resources.  A “blank spot” about occult matters.  Neglecting hidden matters.

Virgo Ascendant (Pisces in 7) /  Neptune in 7

A sense of loss about partnerships.  Attracts confusing partners. Attracts addicts and people who due themselves in.  Marriage and love life is a blank spot (Timid, shy and reserved.)  Confused about matters of contracts.  A blank spot in finding the middle ground.  Mysterious open enemies.  No business partners or deceptive ones.

Libra Ascendant (Pisces in 6) /  Neptune in 6

A sense of loss about establishing routine.  A blank spot about working. Mysterious circumstances in their employment.  Obligations are ignored.  Possibly flaky.  The daily work is a blank spot that is ignored or put on the backburner.  Confusion regarding health and diet.  Being deceived in health and diet matters.  Confusing illnesses.  No protection against illness (contracts everything)

Scorpio Ascendant (Pisces in 5) /  Neptune in 5

A blank spot regarding having fun in life (Serious Scorpio Ascendant.) Mysterious circumstances with romantic relationships.  A blank spot about children.  No children.  No desire for children.  Children are mystery.  A sense of loss about taking risks.  Confused about what to do in leisure time.

Sagittarius Ascendant (Pisces in 4) /  Neptune in 4

Confusing circumstances about the upbringing.  No sense of home. Mysterious mother or nurturing parent.  No attachment to the birth home.  The personal culture is a mystery to them.  Family attachments may be ignored.  Self undoing may be tied to the family or mother.

Capricorn Ascendant (Pisces in 3) /  Neptune in 3

A sense of loss about communicating.  Mysteries surrounding the places they go in the local community.  A blank spot concerning interacting with neighbors and members of their community.  Confused about how to gather information. The self undoing is tied to blood relatives or siblings.  Interactions with siblings and blood relatives is at a loss. Don’t speak with “locals.”

Aquarius Ascendant (Pisces in 2)  /  Neptune in 2

Doesn’t understand the concept of economy or money.  Confused about what to do with money.  Doesn’t know how to save.  Doesn’t spend fruitfully.  A sense of loss concerning self worth.  A blank spot about their own values.  Mysterious possessions.  Doesn’t own much.

Pisces Ascendant (Pisces in 1) /  Neptune in 1

A sense of loss of self.  Confusing personality.  Mysterious persona.  The self expression style is confusing.  A blank spot concerning their own persona (Who am I?)   Confusing expression.  Self undoing comes through mannerisms or lack thereof.

Neptune thru the Houses

1st house - these individuals experience confusing and blurriness when it comes to placing their identity. They are unsure of who they are and what their role is on this planet. These people tend to be hyper-sensitive to their environment, acting like a sponge, picking up and absorbing the energies and feelings of the people around them. Neptune here gives the first impression to others as being a compassionate, sensitive, and understanding soul, therefore you may find that many people feel as if they can confide in you and pour their heart out to you, even if you may not know them that well. It just comes with being a neptunian person. However, neptune in the 1st individuals will have boundary issues, specifically between yourself and other people. This placement can lead to mimicry, a poor sense of self, and taking the role as a “mirror” - just reflecting other people. It’s easy for these people to act as a martyr and for others to take advantage of their selflessness/compassion.

2nd house - those with neptune here desire a deeper understanding for the value of money and their possessions. Neptune dissolves and blurs, so this may take place when it comes to the individual’s income/money/possessions. The person may be obsessed with money, maybe not even obsessed with having it, but could be obsessed with other people who have it. They can see money has being the main root of solving all of their problems, as their savior in life that will heal them from all. They also may feel like the world owes them some kind of favor, leading to an unexplained feeling of self-entitlement. On the other hand, they can feel ashamed or guilty for having what they own, and undeserving of it. Individuals with neptune in the 2nd should re-evaluate their self worth, their self esteem tends to fluctuate often throughout their life as well. They also might be the type of person to always be dissatisfied with what they own and constantly want more.

3rd house - neptune in the house of the mind, communication, and short distance traveling can confuse and scatter the individual who has it. The positive attributes of neptune being linked with mercury/the house of thinking is the natural and innate intuition and ability to pick up on the undercurrents and vibes in their surrounding environment. What they lack is logical thinking/reasoning and practicality. Neptune, the planet of fantasy and rich imagination, blesses this person with these qualities as well. They tend to make great storytellers, making you feel like you’ve experienced just about everything right there with them. This person can develop a selective perception though - only seeing what they want to see. Neptune is a trickster; fooling us into what is beautiful or lovely constantly. We overlook the bad things and cover them up with neptune’s delusions and blindness. Individuals with this placement may be so open minded that they confuse other people’s thoughts for their own, because neptune is such a dissolving planet that completely diffuses boundaries and links us all together as one. 3rd house also rules siblings; maybe the native with this had to take care of a sibling, or was extra sensitive to them, or maybe they were an only child who longed so desperately for another sibling to have. Neptune here makes great poets, writers, and artists, having a mind full of beauty, it just comes naturally to them, causing them to lack in normal everyday verbal communication.

4th house - plenty of people with neptune in the 4th can either tell you that their childhood was spent playing with rose colored glasses, or that it was probably horrible. The 4th house rules a person’s roots; their upbringing, their background/where they came from, the mother (sometimes). Even if the individual experienced some kind of suffering as a child, or their childhood was the typical “perfect” upbringing, they can experience an almost painful feeling nostalgia and yearning to be back. This placement can be an indicator of emotional abuse from the father or the mother depending on what this house represents for you (mainly, the parent that provided the most nurturing). The mother may have been very mentally or physically ill, and the individual with neptune here may have spent much time in their childhood taking care of them. There may have been a case of infidelity - mother/father had an affair, marriage was ruined, etc. The person with this placement was usually called upon to make sacrifices in the home or for the home, pretty often, for whatever reason. The household may have been filled with delusion and/or lies, maybe ridden with drugs/drug addicts/alcoholics, maybe artists and inspirational individuals, visionaries and maybe the individual was raise with much spirituality. The mother might have been just as hyper sensitive. The family might have taken in strays; animals or people, and the individual now may continue to do this in their own home in the future. You may have lived by the sea/a body of water and desire to in the future.

5th house - with neptune in the house of pleasures, romance, children and creativity, it can be as good as it is bad. Neptune here brings the gift of beautiful creative expression and a knack for painting/the arts. Though, you may have felt guilty in your younger years for even just wanting to have fun, and this feeling may follow you around still. You may give up things for what you love often, like giving up a stable job to continue being involved in some area of the arts, or maybe drugs. Having an outlet to pour their emotions into is very important for these people because it comes to naturally to them. Romantically, they feel this on another level. Neptune is the higher octave of venus, enabling a limitless capacity to love and be loved. They can fall for people who are unavailable or abusive though so be careful. This placement could lead to issues in drugs, gambling or sex addictions as well. Neptune could get so lost and entranced by the house of pleasures that it can’t get out. These people can feel martyred by children, feeling that they stopped them from being able to do other things with their life, or that the child saved them from themselves or life itself.

6th house - neptune, ruling pisces, in it’s opposite ruler’s house, mercury/virgo, can lead to some obvious difficulties. For one, virgo/the 6th house rules order and organization. Neptune dissolves everything in touches and doesn’t understand this too much. Neptune here can result in neglecting organization in the everyday life and the body itself; this placement is notorious for strange illnesses and conditions. You’ll find that the person with neptune here could be labeled as “spontaneous” but more so in the sense that they just go with the flow of things because they’re incapable of organization/ordering their day to day life. Positively, they may seek jobs in healing or occult areas, enabling the proper use of their gifts in a way the 6th house approves of; putting it to work instead of letting it pile up and be ignored.

7th house - individuals with this placement are usually seeking a partner to save them or to save. The boundaries between them and other people are usually non-existent as well. They believe in unreachable levels of romance, they idealize relationships so much and romanticize things that should not be romanticized. They may be drawn to or attract those that are drug addicts, alcoholics, criminals, people with bad reputations/shady pasts, victim-types, or unstable/mentally ill people. They’re the most common to get wounded bird syndrome. The other side of them is being drawn to artists, musical geniuses, visionaries/inspirational types and gurus. These people experience relationships on an almost complete psychic level, and relationships are an awakening for them. Love is the key to fix all their problems, and nothing in life is worth it unless there is love for these people. They are very selfless in love, though sometimes they may spend so much of their time and energy saving another person that when they realize they are getting nothing back, or the relationship is really not what they thought it was at all, they can experience such profound and extreme hurt, disappointment and betrayal. There can also be a danger of scandal/problems with lawsuits if neptune is badly aspected. They may also be scapegoated by others because of their compassion and vulnerability to others. They may take jobs in social work, therapy, psychology, counseling or the arts.

8th house - besides the home of neptune (the 12th house), the 8th house is pretty much the next best thing for this planet. With neptune residing here, the individual’s intuition is very developed and very powerful. Sex is a very spiritual and important experience for these people, as to them it represents a complete spiritual act of merging with another soul to form one. By losing their own boundaries and self within another, they satisfy their spirit as well as their physical self. With the planet of dissolving and confusion in the house of sex, there can definitely be confusion with one’s sexual identity. There can also be a fear of letting go with some people with this placement, especially if neptune is poorly aspected or if saturn is involved somewhere with this. The 8th house rules joint finances and other people’s money, so neptune here can help someone else acquire money or their can be deception and delusion to shared money. They may fantasize frequently about unavailable people, or people they are not involved with currently too. These people can also have very poor coping mechanisms, they can lead to self destructive behavior when sad/depressed/angry. People with this placement usually do not fear death.

9th house - those with neptune in the 9th house of beliefs/higher education and traveling seek salvation and savior through what they believe in. These are the people that are most likely to be drawn towards joining a cult, philosophy, religion, etc. They are entranced by anything that will give them insight on what heaven is like, or what the other side holds in store for them. They usually believe in enlightenment. The problem with this is believing that one faith or belief will hold the answer to absolutely everything, and will solve every problem you have, which leads to severe disappointment and hurt, as neptune does pretty often. They may experience the greatest hurt of all: finding out what they believed in was a lie or fake. The psychic they may have been seeing all along was an alcoholic or mentally ill, or on drugs. The cult was all just made up or stolen from someone else. Their priest went against everything they believed in. These kinds of catastrophes will ruin a neptune in the 9th house’s soul. Travel can be used as method of escapism for these people. When life gets tough, they’re planning a road trip across country, or flying to another country to take a break from it all.

10th house - with neptune here, people look upon this person as a savior, or one that completely understands the struggles of everyone below them. They are drawn to healing professions and have an innate ability to comfort others. These people are usually those that hold a vision of how things should be, or something that no one has thought of before. To give you a better image, JFK had neptune in the 10th and so does bernie sanders. See how idolized they are? They “speak for the people” and want to do what’s right. They hold much compassion for the public and are recognized for this. The downside to having neptune here is the struggle of not knowing what career path you want to take, not knowing what role you have in the public/career’s eye, they may work for shady or corrupt businesses. The father may not have been seen clearly to the individual and may have exhibited some of neptune’s characteristics; addict, alcoholic, absent/abandoned them, hyper sensitive, etc.

11th house - these people believe in having compassion for all of mankind. They usually join spiritual awareness groups or are working for meals on wheels to help serve and give back to the world they live in. They have the tendency of losing themselves in their social life, or becoming too involved, or using it as a escapist method. They could promise too much to others and never follow through with it, but they usually do have good intentions. Their social circle of friends may have many neptunian types. Friends may not see the individual that clearly. They might be notorious/have a shady reputation amongst others socially. They could experience deception or hurt through friendships often and be blind to it. They believe in second chances and that the meaning of life is to help and serve all, because that is what everyone deserves in the end.

12th house - neptune is home in the house of pisces. This is the best house for neptune to be in, besides the fact that it’s home, it is the less dangerous place for neptune to be in. The 12th house works in the background of things; we don’t see it or understand it. Neptune here may give a person great intuition, but high sensitivity to the undercurrents and feelings of others. They may feel guilty for their own feelings at times and as if they have to sacrifice them a lot. Positively, with neptune here, the subconscious or unconscious mind of the individual can be the source of very rich imagination and be used as a source of inspiration for creative endeavors or to gain ideas. Neptune here can also become too involved with the lives of others because they want to escape their own. Anywhere neptune is, compassion is as well. The subconscious of the person may want to escape their own subconscious. They may feel that the world is out to get them and that they cannot escape failure or disappointment, while this may all not be true. They feel as if they have to suffer for other people because no one can match their expectations of a friend or a lover. The person with neptune in the 12th strongly values beauty and harmony, and it is important for them to be surrounded by this or positivity so they don’t try to escape themselves.

Neptune’s placement in the natal chart suggests an area of life where you see what other people can’t. Neptune’s looking glass is psychic and unifies with the whole cosmos. It can signify where we behave unusually, creatively, or people comment that ‘I cant get through to you’.

Malefic Planets

Pluto destroys until there is nothing left, until you have to rebuild everything from the broken foundations upwards, moving you on completely in your journey in this life. It is ego shattering.

Neptune dissolves, taunts and taints, pointing you in misleading directions until you don’t know left from right. It breaks down the barriers between you and everything else, idealises.

Uranus disrupts at the drop of a hat, liberates you from confines, but also rebels for the sake of rebelling, leaving you to wonder what will be left is its chaotic wake.

Saturn creates dissatisfaction, feelings of being unworthy or let down in an area of life, where things progress slowly and often with much hard work and difficulty. Through this, we end up being teachers in this area of life, our talents reaching heights of wisdom with time, we master it.

Mars (Often considered a lesser malefic) represents brute force, recklessness, a pioneering spirit that often runs into conflict in the area containing it. Competitiveness and the ability to self-direct also come from Mars, a healthier aggression.

It should be apparent by now that Neptune, contrary to popular astrological opinion does not necessarily symbolise with the politics of the left. Instead, it reflects a particular political approach which is deeply imbued with the romantic version of paradise lost and regained through the creation of a perfect society.   Neptunians can get on either side of the political fence. Despite the fact that Neptunian leaders and political philosophers may despise or even attempt to destroy each other, they have more in common than they realise. They are recognisable not by their allegiance to the left or right, but by global vision, emotionality, poetry, and sheer infantile blindness which so often colour their political viewpoint.

Neptune eyes ~ real eyes realize real lies

Neptune’s placement in the natal chart suggests a space of life where we see what other people can’t. Our perception here is psychic and unifies with the whole cosmos. It could be where we behave unusually, creatively, or people comment that ‘I cant get through to you’. We deny logic and material experience where the Neptune mist blows. Something special is revealed to us, something inexplicable and enchanted. But Neptune can also tell us lies, whispering hollow promises, or staining consciousness with desires of escapism, substance indulgence, spiritual fanaticism, or sexual gratification. The music is here. It’s where other people are deaf. But it’s something you can hear. So sometimes we don’t talk about these things. Everybody will call us delusional. Here we are awake where other people are asleep.

Neptune in the 1st house: the self is cast in a divinely mystical light, but this is foggy, the sacredness of the self is elevated, the image of the self may be completely out of touch with reality
Neptune in the 2nd house: self worth may be fluctuating, at times intimately sensitive with all things, at others the separation and emptiness becomes a longing for material consumption, the individual can see opportunities for developing wealth that other people cannot
Neptune in the 3rd house: unspoken words of other people, and the messages of divine voices circulate in the mind. the individual learns in a very unusual way that may be difficult for educators to grasp. they are pulled between dimensions of consciousness, often seeming in a state of confusion, understanding the language of many things
Neptune in the 4th house: the messages of divine wisdom from the inner guides are projected in the outer world, it tends to be filled with psychic activity. there is an insatiable feeling of abandonment. the mother image is contained in fantasy here, she wanted goddess as her mother
Neptune in the 5th house: romance is the tea party of life. they are soaring on infinite melodies. they can perceive their own eternity when they are holding a baby. the inner child speaks the words of the holy cosmic child. life is an enchanted stage
Neptune in the 6th house: sacrifice feels sacred with neptune in the 6th. there are imaginary ailments and anxieties that other people cannot soothe. daily life is filled with hidden, although secret miracles. a perfectionism that is so threaded with idealism that could never materialize
Neptune in the 7th house: the eyes of god reflect through the faces of everybody they pass. divine light is cast over those in contact, this gives the individual a romantic and kind view of the world. there may be betrayal because the individual idealises people so richly
Neptune in the 8th house: the perception for the spirit world and the dead is active, the individual may be a medium or be frequently visited by ghosts. there are feelings of abandonment and distrust in the self that become projected onto others, the individual imagines people to be more deceitful than they are
Neptune in the 9th house: sinking into spiritual symbolism and longings to create intimacy with the divine. indulging in many esoteric pursuits becomes the voyage of life. there may be religious fanaticism or complete separation from spiritual awareness
Neptune in the 10th house: the profession is an ideal and the person secretly longs to heal humanity in godly way, out of touch with what is humanly capable. it may be difficult for the person to decide upon a career because the dream is always calling in many directions
Neptune in the 11th house: friendships serve as a source of spiritual energy for the person. they can see collective humanity dancing in unity, friends make them feel at one with god. this person feels the injustice of the world on an intense degree
Neptune in the 12th house: the inner world calls with a honey voice of seduction, promising a source of comfort if only the individual would withdraw completely and lose touch with the world. the feeling of spiritual discontent seems impossible to satisfy

I have neptune in the 4th and yeah, I do need to take care of my mom, but not because of substance abuse. She's gave up on life because she's suffered so so much since she's been deluded by so many people and I have to be there to cheer her up. Neptune and its illusions are just so harsh on us

Sure, it won’t always be substance abuse but in most cases it is. The parent is either a substance abuser, has a physical debilitating illness, a mental illness, or are just helpless and incompetent to take care of themselves, if Neptune is afflicted the parent could be mentally abusive. It’s primarily the similar theme of the child having to take care of the ~sickly~ parent due to some illness or delusion that the parent radiates, which I feel is just not right and puts a lot of stress on the kid because then who’s taking care of them? Very harsh on the individual, especially because we tend to grow up with the traits of our 4th house, so Neptune IC people are prone to growing up feeling the need to take care of others when it’s them who needs to be taken care of or when they need to worry about themselves for a change. I’m a sole believer that you can’t take care of another properly until you’ve taken care of your own problems otherwise, the mixture of your unsolved problems and taking on the problems of others will just pile up which is often the case for Neptune IC

Also Neptune in the 4th isn’t ultimately bad…if someone has nothing but trines ad sextiles to their Neptune in the 4th their parent was probably super spiritual, enlightening, open minded and compassionate. I still think malefics put some kind of stress in the houses though, despite being blessed with harmonious aspects. For instance, even if someone’s Neptune is unafflicted, there will still be confusion and naivety of the upbringing and family life. This would be someone who is too lenient on letting anyone into their private life, for instance.
