There are two teachers. Jupiter and Saturn.

Jupiter makes life seemingly easy to learn. With Jupiter, you have the lessons that come easily to you. Jupiter is the teacher that will take you outside, and let you love what the world has to offer. Jupiter is the fun, cool teacher who’ll let you explore your capabilities. Jupiter wants you to love the world through the beautiful blessings it provides to others.

Saturn makes life seemingly hard to learn. With Saturn, you’ll have lessons you’ll have to difficultly learn through again and again. Saturn is the teacher that will make you see the world for what it is and force you to face a harsh reality. Saturn is the strict, responsible teacher who’ll make you use your capabilities for something truly productive. Saturn wants you to love the world through the perilous pains it provides to others.

Saturn has been oppressing me since 2012 and it won’t stop until the end of this year bc I’m deep in my saturn return please just beam me up Scotty I’m tired. It was in my sun sign from 2012-2015 then dived straight into my stellium immediately after and won’t leave until Dec 2017 like this shit is really magnified and I’m mad and I’m dying 😂👍🏾

Saturn actually emits more than twice the energy it absorbs from the sun. Saturn don’t gave a fuvk about your personal sunlight, your ego. It don’t care about what things you define yourself as. Saturn’s flow of outgoing energy was lopsided, and its atmosphere dense with clouds that constantly rain. Wherever Saturn is in your chart is how you gain structure through the darkest parts of your life, just like Saturn is dark and cloudy but has an internal power source that produces more energy than the sunlight it receives. It’s gonna feel lopsided and confusing in the dark but the light you find there will be the tool that helps you gain the structure you need.

The house that contains Saturn can feel like it is a vast mountain to climb, full of hurdles to jump over and barriers to break. It can feel like success is a million miles away. Yet, this very house often ends up being our area of expertise later in life, a place that amounts so much knowledge that we are the ones to turn to should others feel conflicted or are struggling in that area of life. Through breaking barriers and fighting fatigue, we can achieve our dreams in this area.

The similarity between Saturn & Pluto is very under-acknowledged. Saturn can be just as devastating, and almost worse in a way, because there is no definite rebirth afterwards – sometimes it’s just misery for the sake of misery, whereas with Pluto, there is always a new beginning. They both have the capacity for extreme morbidity and suffering, but there is a higher purpose to it.

I used to wonder why I identified so much with Pluto when I have very few natal Pluto aspects and it’s not in an angular house; then I realized Saturn is my 2nd most dominant planet, and it all made sense. Saturn is crushing and Pluto is consuming – but it can be experienced / manifest in nearly identical ways.

People with Saturn or Pluto in the house of pleasure & fun (5th house) take things so seriously that they can’t even have genuine fun most times…Saturn wants to maintain control, Pluto wants to maintain power, two “heavy,” dark and overbearing concepts in such a free, bright and light-hearted house. “just let loose!” “Have fun once in awhile!” Don’t ever say this to these people, you don’t understand where their solemness & melancholy stems from, it’s not something they can just get rid of, such as taking off a mask. Saturn in the 5th’s inner child & creative self-expression are blocked by Saturn’s discipline and with Pluto in this house every experience pertaining to the matters of the 5th are transformative, which can be agonizing, draining and maddening…people with these placements feel that their “inner child” was taken away from them at a young age, they’re typically mature and serious for most of their lives but wish they weren’t

Which House(s) has Saturn in Sagittarius Transited in Your Chart? How has Saturn been affecting your Life?

Saturn will enter Capricorn on December 20th, 2017 and will stay there until March 24th, 2020. Saturn has been in Sagittarius since December 24th, 2014, went retrograde back into Scorpio throughout the middle of 2015, then back thru Sagittarius until the end of 2017.

When Saturn goes retrograde, we feel like we want to be productive, but situations just aren’t manifesting. We are being held back. April 2017-August 2017, Saturn will be retrograde in Sagittarius, from 27 degrees down to 21 degrees. So if you have planets in your natal chart at those degrees, transiting Saturn will make an aspect and you can predict what you will be going thru during that time. Saturn was retrograde in the teen degrees from mid April the middle of August 2016. For example, my natal Jupiter is 14 degrees Virgo, so at the beginning of 2016, Saturn was moving direct in Sagittarius, squaring my Jupiter, then went retrograde to continually hurt my Jupiter. If you want me to show you an example of how Saturn has been treating YOUR planets, you can ask me to give you a lesson.

Depending on what degrees your house cusps are, Saturn in Sagittarius might have entered two of your houses, even three of your houses if you have Sagittarius on two house cusps in your chart. Bear in mind that whether you use Koch, Campanus, or Placidus, you will get different double signs and different intercepted signs. If you live at a very northern latitude it is possible to have the same sign on three house cusps, therefore, Saturn might transit four of your houses in one sign.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 1st house: Your jubilant attitude has been dampened by the harsh realities that make you feel restricted. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 2nd house: Now is the time to learn money discipline, prioritize needs over wants, and develop your skills of ration.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 2nd house: You are expanding your skills that will earn you more money. Remind yourself to balance indulgence with ration. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 3rd house: You are refining your communication abilities, becoming a wiser speaker.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 3rd house: Feisty speaker you! You’re combining speed with accuracy in academic pursuits. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 4th house: You aren’t feeling nurtured by your family, they’re pointing out your faults.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 4th house: Your family is being pushy and you feel wanderlust yet not able to explore as much as you want. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 5th house: You’re not able to play and do creative pursuits as much as you wish. Perhaps having problems with fertility.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 5th house: Your children are acting wild and you’ve been learning to put restrictions on them. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 6th house: You’re getting important work done. You’re possibly having health difficulties, likely involving bones, teeth, hair, or skin.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 6th house: You’re enjoying your work more while honing effective productivity skills. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 7th house: Feeling cynical towards relationships.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 7th house: The balance between your desire for a wild love life and being committed. Perhaps an open relationship would be good for you. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 8th house: Feeling a block from being able to experience intimacy. Facing your fears and inadequacies regarding sex.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 8th house: Feeling held back from experimenting sexually. Or perhaps you’re becoming more sexually indulgent, depending on how you handle Saturn personally. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 9th house: This is a good time to go back to college, you’ll be able to focus on studying very well and become competent in your chosen subject.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 9th house: Expanding your horizons by learning and exploring while staying sensible about it all. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 10th house: Now’s the time to manifest your career goals! You like being in charge of others.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 10th house: You can be an inspiring supervisor who motivates other people! AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 11th house: You’re realizing who your true friends are, or perhaps you’re being the lone goat on the mountain top because others have disappointed you. You’re cynical about how other people are idiots.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 11th house: You’re expanding your circle of friends with people who matter, and cutting those who were previously toxic to you. AND

Sagittarius in Capricorn transiting your 12thhouse: You’re facing your subconscious fears, finding stability as you navigate your psyche.

Saturn in Sagittarius transiting your 12th house: You’re soul searching, perhaps having an existential crisis. You can gain great wisdom during this time if you’re open to what the universe wants to teach you. You’re working thru your inner demons. AND

Saturn in Capricorn transiting your 1st house: You are becoming more competent at mundane tasks. Others perceive you as more mature now.

Bear in mind that when Saturn was in Scorpio, he would have had a hurtful effect on whichever house(s) in your chart that contain Scorpio. As you can see, the sign a planet is in when it enters a house of yours makes a radical difference on how you feel it. Saturn isn’t happy in Scorpio, but Capricorn is Saturn’s domicile.

Hello! Hope you have been doing well and enjoying life! I wanted to ask, Saturn will be transiting my 12th house during my Saturn return, what could this mean for me? Thank you!

Saturn transiting the 12th house during the Saturn Return is the dark side version of spring cleaning.  Since Saturn’s main job is bring structure and security to your life it does a masterful job of bringing all kinds of junk that may of been repressed up.  You may be facing repressed memories, fears or things you thought insignificant or vital to your own growth going forward.

Remember Saturn is a realist and it knows the only way to grow is to face one’s self.  This may mean naturally tending toward isolation in a period of soul searching and introspection.  If there are things that psychology prohibit you from moving forward in your subconscious than the will be faced.  The purpose here is to clean out to restructure your image to the world to start anew when Saturn transits the 1st.

Understanding what made your 30 first years of life as go they did so you mature and have a better structure in your behavior for the next 30.  Saturn’s brings this through the return in the 12th.  This comes through letting go of fear and what holds you back.  Your letting go of what no longer serves you.  Depression is usually very steep during this time because your facing yourself alone basically.  Enlist the help of others who did soul searching prior and you’ll grow.

i read somewhere that saturn in the 11th is weird because theyre such opposed ideas. putting restrictions on yourself in the area you should be rebelling, which makes it kind of reversed, to where once you know how to let go and not do whats expected of you, you'll find success. usually i just see stuff about being uncomfortable in groups and picky about friends.

The 11th house isn’t an “area we should be rebelling in,” that would be wherever the planet Uranus is in our charts. Wherever Uranus is, we rebel against. Saturn is the traditional ruler of the 11th, you could say it “feels at home” here. However, regardless of where it “feels at home” and just like anywhere else, Saturn will cause struggle and usually becomes more clear to the person after their first Saturn Return

There tends to be longstanding fractures in Saturn in the fourth that cause a retreat from the world out of fear of abandonment, or repeating events experienced in younger years. Indwelling needs may be stilted in expression, and the individual may struggle asserting themselves within the home life. The world melts away on the sail through their rich inner world. Houses breathe to them, and they sense the decades of history and the voices of those who slept there before them. They may also want to escape anything that reminds them of their own personal history.

Saturn can express in two binary forms. There is the sort of repression, fear and obstruction, a hollowness or blankness, a face against the aquarium. Maybe it feels inaccessible, or under intense order. For example, Saturn in the 5th house struggles to access creative inspiration because the inner child is kept under a firm hand, or Saturn in the 9th feels out of touch spiritually, unable to cohesively tie religions and belief, and ultimately unaware and oblivious of his deep need to connect intimately with the source. Because Saturn builds a sort of foundation, one which provides an earthy, level filter for the three transcendental planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) to express through, one which transforms these invisible forces into something material, maybe without Saturn something feels deeply lacking. There is a sense of satisfaction that can be perceived but that is somehow unreachable. This is a potential that is going unfulfilled and something longing. Consciousness is aware, but can’t figure out what it is. So then we feel unequipped for the rapid change of Uranus, swept away by the anesthesia of Neptune, and deeply wounded and blinded by Pluto. It’s like we haven’t been conditioned with the mechanical engineering to understand the outer planets without walking by Saturn’s side. The second expression is the pedantic militant. This is focus that delves past obsession and into compulsion, an overpowering , all of the excesses of Jupiter in hardened form, unrelenting and dominating. Maybe Saturn in the 6th starves herself, attempting to take a hardline approach to health but losing control, making it the principal focus of her life, but losing touch with the essence of true health. Saturn in the 7th may fear abandonment so deeply and react with such fear that she constantly finds herself in a new relationship, even with people who may treat her badly or prove to be quite harmful. it’s like she could be addicted to love but find it never manages to hit the spot. It may be easy to start following the lesson plan of Saturn, then control the almost possessed fixation that can become of it. An excessive Saturn can predominate a person’s complete existence, but it can also make the outer planets truly come to life, in vivid, spectacular milky way display. Of course this can be dangerous too, in a way that makes pragmatic Saturn feel unsatisfied and as if there is some sort of fakery to the whole thing. Saturn was never meant to be easy. but it is definitely worth the trial -Cherry
