When Dumbledore gave Neville points and said, “It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends,” I wonder if he was thinking about his own regrets, and how he wishes he stood up to Grindelwald when they were younger. Obviously, Dumbledore and Grindelwald were more than friends, but it still applies to the idea of doing the right thing, even if it means going against the people you love.
