Oh he definitely is. I don’t get fics that characterize Harry as shy or the kind of person that just stands and accept what’s being thrown at him. No love. Harry will make sure his opinions are heard, whether the person facing him likes it or not. Harry would end someone’s WHOLE career and make them regret they had decided to talk to him. I mean that kid is literally a little shit that doesn’t know how to keep his mouth shut. From the Minister and Dumbledore till Dudely. He’ll make sure to give you shit no matter who you are.

Anyways, these are just a few lines that I absolutely admire and I think are immensely underrated:

i hope you like my little experiment - i tried using actual fabric swatches for the clothes in this 1st or 2nd year harry and ron comic

so the patterns aren't an exact match, but i still think they're cute

Wait I was under the impression Pomona Sprout was born somewhere between '31, and '41 making her go to Hogwarts with Minerva...? (Honest question here, I hope you don’t take this the wrong way)

No not at all! To me, I always assumed Sprout was in her mid-50s (flyaway grey hair) when I read Sorcerer’s Stone the first time. That’s just my assumption! I also assumed that Sibyl and Minnie were at school together, but that Sprout was a bit younger. McGonagall would have been in her 60s or 70s during Harry’s time at Hogwarts. Doing the math backwards, that makes Sprout a young teacher during the Marauders Era (or tbh maybe she’s out being a plant expert in the Amazon and not even the teacher yet) in her mid 20s. (30 years between James’ first year and Harry’s first year). 

If Sprout was in her 20s during the Marauders years at school, she would be the same age range as Molly, Gideon, and Fabian Prewett, Arthur Weasley, and more. We don’t know a lot about Professor Sprout, as she is rarely mentioned in books hundreds of pages long. For all we know, she could have a family of her own, live off grounds, be in a happy relationship with Madame Pomfrey and send out scented Christmas cards signed Poppy and Pom. I don’t know!

and I’m just like NOPE thanks bye. Sprout is too good for you Slugs. Plus my headcanon is that he’s of the “Confirmed Old Bachelor” persuasion. So stop sucking up to steal Sprout’s hard cultivated Hufflepuff work.

As you can see, Sprout is mentioned 89 times in a total of 3,407 pages (UK editions) over seven books. This means there is a lot left up to the imagination! Race, age, interests, everything. One of those background characters your imagination can fill in each time you read it. For me, my imagination filled in someone in their 50s, bustling and up to her elbows in dragon dung. But it could be someone in her 60s-70s too! I just like the idea of her being at school with Molly and them, because lumping everyone into one of three generations (Marauders, HP, and Next Gen) is just boring.
