I cannot decide if this would be REALLY out of character or weirdly IN character for Emmrich. Either way, this immediately appeared in my head when I saw all the coffin sex talk.
My sister is an Egyptologist and I've been living with her for three years. The "coffin vs. sarcophagus" thing gets brought up weirdly often. This was the explanation I got:
Coffin - usually made of wood, goes into the ground, or *inside* a sarcophagus (which is what ancient Egyptians did with their high ranking mummies)
Sarcophagus - made of stone, stays above ground.
Of course, this now begs the question: coffin or sarcophagus, why the heck was there a plush lining inside that body box shown in the cutscene? The only logical answer: it is, in fact, the Sex Sarcophagus (the Sexcophagus, if you will) specifically made for really horny necromancers who just HAVE to do it right then and there in the Necropolis. I mean, it's in a place called The Vault of the BELOVED, for Maker's sake.
Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

- 7 on right hand, all plain gold bands
- 5-8 on left hand, depending on if the ones on the thumb and ring finger count as one large ring or stacks of smaller rings
- The only finger without a ring is the index finger of the right hand. Speculation, but as someone who wears a lot of rings, this is also a finger I usually skip because it makes holding a pen and writing very uncomfortable, which I imagine would be a factor for an academic.
Number of bracelets: 17, plus chains
- 11 on left arm, with two attached by a chain
- 6 on right arm
- There is also a chain connecting one ring to a bracelet
Number of chains on his outfit: 5-6ish, not including the bracelet/ring ones
- Depends on if you count the chain attached to the collar pin as one or two chains

I love this and had hoped this would be the answer - I can just see EmmRook exploring the world a lot more as a couple before going home. Oh, they’d have a deep connection to home and visit regularly (my Rook being a Watcher), especially if they still had access to the Eluvians but honestly, I prefer a world where Neve, Davrin (and Assan) and Emmrich (and Manfred) all set up shop solving murders in Minrathous or Emmrich responding to calls for help from Taash about ‘really creepy undead’ in a cave somewhere.
