The art of Floyd Gottfredson
Gottfredson started working on the daily Mickey Mouse comic strip in 1930. A job he would keep for 45 years. The strips were reprinted in Western’s Big Little Books and Dell’s “Walt Disney Comics and Stories” in the 1940s. Reprints have continued in several licensed Disney titles. In 2011 Fantagraphics started a series reprinting his daily and Sunday strips.
