It's a big part of komahina to me that they'd be better equipped to understand each other than anyone else; it just takes a lot of work initially for them to break through their surface-level differences and realise how many things they have in common.

Hinata would absolutely be Komaeda's biggest advocate post-NWP, especially early on when he's still processing the terrorist thing- this time not going through that alone- and the cast are slowly repairing all of the bridges they burned with each other.

Komaeda absolutely would end up looking out for Hinata and reading him in ways others couldn't. I love the idea I've seen in some fics that he wouldn't shy away from acknowledging that Hinata is Kamukura while everyone else on the island might pretend Kamukura no longer exists at first, and that that could help Hinata accept himself.

They would be absolutely insufferable around each other too. Jabberwock's couple most in need of getting a damn room.
