An Unexpected Friendship pt 3

Characters: Jensen Ackles x Reader, Reader’s daughter, Jensen’s children

Warnings/Trigger Warnings: Physical Violence, mention of Domestic Abuse, Language, little bit of spice

A/N: This is a short story written in collaboration with @cheekygirl2309. In this story the reader is a widow who has a 4 year old daughter. She’s dating a very abusive man, so she enrolls her daughter in preschool to keep her as shielded as possible. At the preschool we find her daughter has made friends with a set of twins. At pick up one day the reader realizes the parent of her daughter’s best friend is none other than Jensen Ackles. A friendship forms, and decisions are made after a particularly nasty fight with her boyfriend.

No disrespect to Jensen or his family. This is a work of fiction and does not depict real life.

This chapter got a bit long….sorry. This chapter is a bit of a roller coaster, hold on. I promise it’s worth it, and please don’t come at me for things between the reader and Jensen. Things happen in life at different times.

Minors DNI 18+

I smiled back, but as soon as he opened the door my smile was replaced by a look of horror. Jensen turned to look at the person at the door as I said, “Robert.”

Jensen’s jaw tightened. “Y/N, baby, I’ve missed you.” Jensen stepped, blocking Robert from seeing me.

“Who the hell are you, pretty boy?” Robert snarled. “The man who is going to tell you one time to get the fuck off this porch before I make you leave.” Jensen’s voice was stern and booming.

Robert scoffed, “I came to see my girlfriend, you need to step aside.” “She’s NOT your girlfriend, she broke up with you then you came back and beat her up.” Robert was trying to talk over Jensen’s shoulder, “Baby, please. I’m sorry. You know how I can get. You upset me when you told me to leave. I can’t live without you, please.”

A fury filled my body and I stood. I stepped behind Jensen, and softly touched his back, “It’s okay Jensen.” Jensen’s jaw was still tight but he stepped to my side.

“Robert, I’m going to tell you one last time. This, us, we’re done. You put your hands on me, I ended up in the hospital from the beating you gave me. You don’t love me, and I’m not sure you’re even capable of it. Get off my property and don’t ever come back around me or my daughter.”

“You bitch! I gave you 6 months of my life, put up with you and your whiny ass daughter.” Robert lunged for me and Jensen stepped in between the two of us. He grabbed his hand and twisted it behind his back. “Y/N, call the police.” Jensen said over his shoulder.

I grabbed my phone and called the police. The dispatcher told me they would be there in a few minutes. “Jensen, they will be here soon.” I said after I hung up.

Jensen looked at me, “Thank you sweetheart.” It was a term of endearment I’d heard him say a few times, only this time he said it in front of Robert, which pissed him off.

“Oh I see, you broke up with me to be with pretty boy here. So how many times has she opened her legs for you? I could barely get her to go down on me, let alone fuck me.” Jensen was furious and without thinking he punched Robert in the face, then grabbed his chin tightly.

“Don’t you ever fucking talk about her like that again. You have no idea what she’s been through. What YOU put her and her daughter through. You don’t get to think about her again. You hear me! You even utter her name and I’ll kick your ass. I’d gladly go to jail for her, for Jazzy.”

My breath hitched. Nobody had ever defended me like Jensen was. My heart fluttered in my chest. I touched Jensen’s arm, “Jensen, it’s okay. Please don’t do this. He’s not worth it, I’m not worth it. Think about your children, your career. Jensen’s gaze turned toward me, “Y/N you’re worth so much. You’re an amazing mother, a kind person, and so damn beautiful. I’d gladly go to jail for you. Trust me, there is a lot more I’d like to do to him.”

My hand still on Jensen’s arm, “Please, let him go. Look, the police are here.” Jensen’s eyes turned toward the driveway as a police cruiser pulled up.

He let his hand drop and the deputy put Robert in cuffs. “I want to press charges against him. He punched me.” Robert yelled as the deputy escorted him to the car.

Jensen approached another officer. “Jensen, how are you?” The man asked. Jensen extended his hand, “I’m good, look man. I did punch him, but he was going for her and there’s no way in hell I was going to stand by and let him put his hands on her again.” “Sounds like you were protecting yourself and her. He has a history of attacking her, and he has a warrant out. Plus I didn’t see it, and I’m not taking his word.”

He smiled at Jensen, and then over at me. He whispered something to Jensen and then Jensen looked at me and smiled. The officer tipped his hat at me and walked away. “So do you know everyone here?” I asked Jensen as the officer walked away. “Oh, kinda. I grew up with Tom. We used to get into trouble growing up.” Jensen laughed.

I stepped closer to Jensen and placed my hand in his, “Thank you, Jensen. For everything you’ve done for Jazzy and me. I can’t begin to repay you.”

He gently took my face in his hands and held my gaze, “Sweetheart, you don’t have to repay me for anything. We protect the ones we care about. Now come on, let’s go get the kids from school and have a sleepover at my place.” I smiled, “I’m sure the kids will love just one more night together. I’ll go get some things together, and Jensen, thank you.” I placed a soft kiss on his lips as I turned to walk towards my room.

Jensen’s heart leaped in his chest and he felt a twinge of sadness replaying my words, “just one more night together” he didn’t want just one more night, he wanted the rest of your nights. It scared him, but he was falling in love with you. Jensen knew it was fast, but the need to protect you, give you the love you deserve was overwhelming, and he adored Jazzy.

I came back to the living room with an overnight bag. “Ready to go home?” Jensen asked. I smiled when he said “home”. “Yeah, let’s go get the kiddos and go home.”

Jensen took the bag from me and took my hand. My heart fluttered and I felt warmth through my body. Was it possible I was falling in love with him? I swallowed hard and looked at him as he took my hand in his.

Our fingers interlocked and he held tightly. Jensen smiled at me as we walked to his car. He opened the door for me and I climbed in. Jensen walked around and put my stuff in the trunk then slid in the driver's seat.

He grabbed my hand and placed a soft kiss on the back of it. I smiled at him and took a deep breath. Oh I knew I was in trouble. I definitely was falling in love with him.

We pulled up at the school and Jensen got out. Walking into the school Jensen placed his hand on the small of my back. Looking up at him he smiled, “Is this okay?” I nodded, “Yes, more than okay Jensen.”

I waited anxiously with Jensen by my side for the kids to come up to the office. I heard Jazzy and Zeppelin giggling before I saw them.

When Jazzy turned the corner and saw me she ran with her arms open wide. “Mommy!! You’re back. I missed you so much!” I dropped to my knees and pulled her into my arms tightly. I kissed her and told her how much I missed her.

I noticed Zeppelin and Arrow standing to the side looking a little sad. I opened my arms and motioned for them to come to me and they leaped in my arms too.

Jensen’s heart leaped. In that moment he saw the love you had for his children just pouring into the tight embrace you held the three children in.

How could something so new, feel so incredibly perfect and easy? There was no way he could let you go, he only hoped you felt the same way.

About 15 minutes later JJ was picked up and the six of you were headed to Jensen’s house. The kids talking and giggling in the backseat, Jensen and I stealing glances at each other.

Something about this felt right, normal. Like it was meant to be. I looked out the window of the car and a tear slipped out. A wave of guilt washed over me. I missed Josh, I missed the life we shared and mourned the future we lost. How would he feel about Jensen? How would he feel about me falling for someone so quickly?

Jensen’s eyes were drifting from the road to me. He noticed my posture change and he caught a glimmer of a tear. Jensen wasn’t sure if he should reach out to me or not. He glanced in the rearview mirror and saw the four children in the backseat. This moment, with the kids in the backseat and me by his side, felt right. His mind drifted to his late wife. A pang of guilt washed over him. How would she feel if she knew he was falling in love again? Would she be upset, or encourage it? He knew he needed to talk to Jared to help sort out his feelings.

Arriving at Jensen’s house the kids jumped out and ran inside. Jensen grabbed my bag and helped me inside. “Let me show you where the guestroom is. I just got it cleaned out. Jazzy was sleeping on a makeshift bed in my room, but we can move her into the guestroom tonight.” “Thank you, Jensen. I really appreciate everything.”

Jensen carried my bag upstairs and showed me the guestroom. It was a large room, with an ensuite bathroom, and a king size bed. It was modestly decorated, but was warm and inviting. “I hope this is okay?” I stepped closer, touched his arm and said, “It’s perfect, thank you.” I placed a soft kiss on his cheek.

He cleared his throat, “Well, I’ll let you get settled. I need to make a phone call, but when I’m done I’ll start cooking dinner.” “Jensen, let me help you with dinner, please.” “Oh no, absolutely not. You’re my guest and you need to be resting.” Jensen said.

I sighed, “Okay, I’m not going to argue. I’ll get settled and see you soon.” Jensen smiled in victory and walked to his office. Shutting the door, he sat at the desk and pulled out his phone. Jensen called Jared. “Hey Jens, how’s Y/N?” Jared asked as he answered the phone. “She’s good, we are home, well at my house. I really needed to talk to you, Jar.”

“Sure, man. What’s up? Is everything okay?” “I don’t know man. We kissed and it felt right, perfect. Being with her feels natural, the kids all being together, it feels like…” Jensen’s voice trailed off and Jared spoke, “Like the two of you are meant to be together?” Jensen’s voice soft, “Yes.”

Jared and Jensen sat in silence for a minute. “Jar, I’m falling in love with her and it scares the hell out of me. I feel like I’m betraying Dee, but, ugh, I don’t know man.” Jensen ran his hand through his hair. “Jensen, you’re not betraying anyone. She would want you to be happy and move on. If things feel like this, talk to Y/N. I bet she’s feeling the same way because what you’re saying has happened. Just talk to her, please.”

Jensen sighed, “Yeah, thanks man. I’ll let you know how it goes.” “Okay, and Jensen, everything is going to be fine.” After a few minutes of talking the two friends said their goodbyes, leaving Jensen with his thoughts. Thoughts that kept drifting back to you, the kiss, and how it felt to have your hand in his. He took a deep breath and let it out. He knew he needed to talk to you. If the death of his wife taught him anything it was to never leave anything unsaid.

Walking through the house, he found you downstairs watching the kids play outside. A smile plastered on your face.

I turned when I heard Jensen walk into the room, “Hey, look at these four. They are having a blast. I’m so glad Jazzy has them.” Jensen smiled, stepped closer and looked at the children playing in the backyard.

I felt him step closer to me, his body heat enveloping me like a warm blanket.

His hand brushed gently against mine and I looked at him. His green eyes full of love and desire. Jensen smiled and softly said, “Hey, can we talk?” I nodded, my heart thumping loudly in my ears and caught in my throat.

We sat down on the couch, and I was terrified. I didn’t realize I was shaking, Jensen took my hands in his. “Y/N, it’s okay. You don’t have to be scared of me, of anything ever again. I’m here for you and Jazzy for as long as you want.”

My head was down, I couldn’t look him in the eyes. I knew if I did all the love, all the feelings I was trying to keep inside would just bubble out. I didn’t want to ruin our friendship, I couldn’t take his children away from Jazzy.

Jensen’s hands lightly tilted my chin up, “Please look at me, sweetheart.” My eyes flicked up and I looked into his. Jensen smiled, “I have no idea how to start this conversation, and I don’t know how it’s going to end but I do know I need to tell you this.”

I swallowed hard, terrified of what he was about to say. My words caught in my throat, my voice wouldn’t allow me to speak so I just nodded.

“When my wife died I was devastated, lost and broken. My focus shifted to the kids and taking care of them. Then you and Jazzy came into our lives. Now my focus has shifted again, and it includes you and Jazzy. I can’t explain it, but being with you, having the two of you here feels right, like you’re supposed to be here. Then we kissed and I haven’t felt what I felt in a long time. It honestly scares me because it’s so fast, but I’m ready to jump into whatever this is. I think, no, I know I’m falling in love with you, Y/N.” Jensen let out a deep breath when he finished talking, it was like a weight was lifted off of his shoulders.

Tears filled my eyes. Jensen’s flashed with fear. “Jensen, when Josh died I didn’t think I’d ever be whole again. I had Jazzy and I felt so alone. I finally got the courage to date and you saw how that ended with Robert. Then you and your kids came into our lives at just the right moment. When you moved heaven and earth to get to me after I called you that night, when you took Jazzy in and sat at the hospital with me, I knew I was falling for you. Then we kissed and I hadn’t felt anything like that since Josh. When you protected me from Robert today, I knew I had fallen in love with you. You and your kids are everything to me. I’m scared, but more scared to just walk away from this. I don’t know where this is going to lead, but if you’re willing to try, so am I.”

Jensen softly smiled and I saw the fear in his eyes replaced with joy and love. He cupped my face, leaned in and kissed me. My hands went in his hair and he pulled me close. He deepened the kiss. We were so into the kiss we didn’t hear the door open.

Then a little voice pulled us out of the kiss, “Daddy..” Jensen smiled against my lips as we pulled away. My face was red and he was smiling, “Hey Zeppy, what’s up buddy?” “Um, can we have a snack?”

Jensen cleared his throat, stood and said, “Yep, let’s get you guys some snacks.” Jensen looked back at me and winked and I smiled.

I stood and walked in the kitchen to help him make a snack. Each time we passed each other we would gently touch each other. He reached above my head to grab some plates and as he did he placed a soft kiss on my cheek.

Butterflies filled my stomach. I felt like a teenager in love.

We walked outside with the snacks and were greeted by four giggling children. “What’s so funny guys?” Jensen asked as he set the snacks down. JJ walked over, “Daddy, are you and Miss Y/N getting married?” Jensen and I both looked stunned, “What? Why would you ask that?” “Because Zeppy said he saw you two kiss like you and mommy used to.”

My face burned red hot. Jensen chuckled, “No, sometimes when you like someone a lot you kiss them like that to show them. But only grown ups kiss like that.” You chuckled when he said that because it was such a dad thing to say.

The rest of the day was filled with laughter and spending time together. Jensen made burgers on the grill as the kids played in the yard and I sat watching. I tried to help but he wouldn’t let me.

I sat on the back porch as the sun started setting, watching the kids play and Jensen cooking. I couldn’t help but smile. This was a perfect moment. Jazzy was having so much fun playing with the kids and I loved seeing this side of Jensen.

“Hey, sweetheart, what are you thinking about?” Jensen asked as he smiled at me. “Just how perfect this is. Jazzy is having a blast and I just feel really lucky to be a part of this.”

Jensen walked over to me, held out his hand and pulled me up. “This can be our life, for as long as you want.” I smiled, looked over at the kids and then up at him. I placed a soft kiss on his lips.

Jazzy came running up, “Daddy, can I have a juice box?” I whipped my head to look at her, surprised by what she said. Jensen smiled and then Jazzy realized what she said.

A look of embarrassment crossed her face. She took off inside, crying.

I let go of Jensen and started to go after her. He touched my arm, “Let me go talk to her, please.” He asked gently. I nodded.

He walked inside and found her hiding on the side of the bed. “Jazzy, sweetie, come out. It’s okay baby.” She peeked over the bed at Jensen. Her big eyes, red from crying.

He motioned for her to come out. She slowly got up and walked over to him. Jensen pulled her in his lap and hugged her. Jazzy looked at him and sniffled, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to call you daddy.” She said as her tears fell again.

Jensen wiped her tears away and hugged her, “You have nothing to be sorry for. It’s okay. You can call me Jensen, Daddy, or Daddy Jensen if you want. Whatever you’re comfortable with is okay with me.”

Jazzy’s eyes went wide, “I can call you daddy?” Jensen smiled and let out a little chuckle, “If you want to.” She smiled and nodded, “I don’t remember my daddy, but mommy says he loved me very much and always took care of me. You take care of me too. I think you are like my daddy.”

I stood in the hallway listening to them and my heart melted and ached too. Josh was an incredible father and it breaks my heart Jazzy missed out on it, but I’m so glad she has Jensen.

Jensen hugged her and kissed her head. “Come on sweetie, let’s go get washed up for dinner.” She nodded and jumped down, running out of the room and down stairs.

When Jensen walked out of the room he saw me and smiled, “How much of that did you hear?” I stepped up to him, put my arms around his neck, “Enough to know you’re more amazing than I imagined, and we are so lucky to have you.” Jensen smiled, pulled me flush to his body, “I’m the lucky one baby. You and Jazzy fit perfectly here with us.”

I smiled and kissed him, he deepened the kiss and I couldn’t help but moan in his mouth. When we finally parted I looked into his green eyes, “I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of kissing you.” Jensen laughed, “Good, because I won’t either.” Then he kissed me again.

A few hours later the giggles of the children had quieted and they were in bed. Jensen and I sat together on the couch. My legs to the side of me as I laid against him. His arm laying on me, and his fingers dancing up and down my arm.

“Jensen, how is this going to work?” I asked, breaking the silence that filled the room. Jensen turned towards me, taking my hands in his, “Baby, we will figure it out. When I’m gone filming I’ll call you as often as I can, video chat when I can too, when I’m home, we will all be together, spending nights like this. I’m all in, Y/N.”

“I’m all in too, Jensen.” I moved to kiss him and he pulled me over to straddle his lap. My sleep shorts were thin and his sweatpants left nothing to the imagination. As I straddled him and kissed him deeper, I could feel his arousal pressing into me. My hips moved down and pressed his desire into me, pulling a moan from his lips.

His hands trailed up my body and it sent a rush of heat through my body. My heart quickened as my hands rested on his rock hard chest. I could feel my desire growing as Jensen’s hands moved over my body.

His teeth pulled my lower lip and I moaned. Jensen’s hands tugged at the hem of my shirt. I shook my head and he quickly pulled my shirt over my head and tossed it to the side. My bra covered breasts exposed to the cool air. Jensen looked over my body, his eyes scanning every inch. It made me feel vulnerable and desired all at once. His fingers danced across my skin, softly touching each bruise left by Robert.

“I’m so sorry, sweetheart. You deserve so much better.” His lips kissed each bruise, like a silent plea to make it go away. I had never felt more wanted, needed and protected then I did when I was in his arms.

“Jensen, please.” “Are you sure, darlin’? We don’t have to rush this.” “Yes, I want this, I want you. If you do.”

Jensen pulled me into a deep kiss. This kiss was different than before. It was full of need, passion and want. I returned his kiss with equal fervor.

Jensen leaned back, “Come on, sweetheart, let’s take this to the bedroom.” I nodded and he helped me stand. He took my hand and led me through the house to his bedroom.

Once in the room, he closed the door and locked it. Capturing my lips again, he led me backwards to the bed. Gently laying me down, he hovered over me. He leaned up and removed his shirt. When I took in his chest, my thighs clenched together. Damn this man was stunning.

“Are you sure you’re ready?” Jensen asked softly as his lips trailed over my skin. “Yes. I’m ready, are you?” Jensen nodded, “More than ready.”

This chapter got a bit long….sorry.

Minors DNI 18+

Jensen arrived home late. Jared was sleeping on the couch when he came inside. “Hey Jar, wake up man.” Jensen said quietly. Jared stretched, “Oh hey man. How’s Y/N?”

Jensen’s head hung slightly, “Not good man. He almost killed her. She’s in a medically induced coma because he beat her up so badly.” Jared’s mouth fell open, “Damn man. I’m sorry to hear that. How’s her daughter?” “She’s okay. She’s going to be staying with Y/N’s best friend.” “That’s good. At least she has someone she knows.” “Yeah, she’s friends with Arrow and Zep. They are in the same class, I just wish there was more I could do to help both of them. I know Arrow and Zep really like Jazmyne.”

“Well man, thanks for watching the kids for me, you should head home.” “Yeah, of course, and Jensen, I do hope Y/N’s gonna be okay. No one deserves what she went through.” Jensen just nodded in agreement, his words caught in his throat as he thought about how she looked in the bed. He had never understood how someone could do that to another person. It upset him, and made him so angry.

After Jared left, Jensen crawled into bed. He had to be up in a few hours to take the kids to school. He tossed and turned most of the night. His heart ached for Y/N and Jazmyne. The fear in her voice when she called him, the look on Jazmyne’s face and how she clung to him, and how bruised and battered you looked in the bed. All of it playing like a record in his head.

He finally fell asleep for what felt like ten minutes before his alarm went off. Jensen grumbled as he turned off the alarm and crawled out of bed. He jumped in the shower and got dressed.

Walking through the quiet house his mind drifted to his late wife. She was not only an amazing wife and mother, but an amazing person. She would volunteer at JJ’s school, while juggling working at the brewery, other projects she worked on, and holding down the household while Jensen was away filming. When she got pregnant with the twins after years of trying, her and Jensen were ecstatic. She went to every appointment, asked every question she could think of and made sure they were ready to bring home not one, but two newborns.

When she died during their birth, Jensen’s soul was crushed. His arms full with their newborns, but empty at the same time. Family and friends rallied around him to help with all three children, but he was lost. His wife, his partner, the love of his life, was gone.

He didn’t know why Jazmyne’s father wasn’t in the picture, but he was sure it had to be something significant. Now you were dealing with Robert and his abusive nature. Jensen didn’t understand why he felt so protective of you so quickly. He hardly knew you.

About an hour after he got up the kids were awake and ready for school. He took JJ to school first and then the twins to school. Walking towards the entrance he saw Jazmyne and Nichole. The twins ran to Jazmyne and Jensen chuckled.

“Good morning Jazzy and Nichole. How are you two today?” Jazmyne’s eyes went wide when she saw Jensen. Nichole offered a soft smile. “Hey, can I talk to you after drop off?” Nichole asked Jensen. “Of course. I wanted to talk to you too.” They walked the kids in and agreed to meet at the coffee shop around the corner to talk.

Once at the coffee shop, Jensen got the coffees and Nichole grabbed a table. “Hey, thanks for meeting with me. I just wanted to tell you thank you for everything last night. I’m sure it wasn’t how you expected to spend your evening. I’m sure by now you know Y/N was in an abusive relationship with a guy named Robert. She ended it with him and he came back. I feel so guilty for not doing everything I could to get him away from her. He didn’t start out hitting her. Then she’d show up with bruises and marks. Her late husband, Josh, would never have laid his hands on her.”

Jensen sat there listening and taking in everything she was saying. “So how did Josh pass?” Jensen finally asked. “When Jazzy was almost 2 he got hurt in an accident at work and was killed. I didn’t think Y/N would ever recover. He was the love of her life. She got so depressed and lonely we thought we were going to lose her too. Then one day we showed up and she was up and smiling. I know she was putting on a show for us, but I think eventually she got a little better. It took us forever to convince her to go out on a date, and then she ended up with this jackass.”

“I’m so sorry to hear she lost her husband. I lost my wife when she gave birth to the twins. I’m still not over it completely and I don’t think I ever will be. Is there anything I can do to help Y/N, Jazzy or you?”

“Honestly, you being there for her and Jazzy is great. I’d definitely like to plan that play date. Jazzy is going to need as much support as possible. She’s going to miss Y/N and she won’t understand why she can’t see her.”

“Yeah, I get it. Hopefully she heals quickly enough and Jazzy can see her. I know they are very close.”

After about thirty minutes, Jensen and Nichole parted ways. Nichole was headed to Y/N’s house to get some things for Jazmyne, Jensen was headed to the hospital.

Walking down the cool hallway, the air thick with the unmistakable smell of a hospital, Jensen’s heart pounded in his chest. Since he lost his wife, hospitals always brought back some anxiety. So being here brought it all back.

Jensen stood outside your room for a minute. He took a steady breath and started to open the door when a nurse approached him. “Um excuse me, are you family?” Jensen turned and he saw a flash of recognition in the nurse’s face. “Oh hi, yeah. I’m her boyfriend.”

The nurse’s face flashed with anger and panic. “I don’t think I can let you in her room, sir.” She said looking up at Jensen. Jensen knew what she was thinking, “Oh no ma’am, I’m not the one who did that to her. That was her ex, Robert.” “Still, I need to check with the police officer before I let you in.”

“Yes ma’am, I understand that. I’ll wait here.” Jensen gestured towards the empty chair outside your room. She nodded and walked towards the desk.

Jensen saw her look over at him while she was on the phone. Then he saw her nod and hang up. She walked over, offered an apologetic smile, “Thank you for waiting, Mr. Ackles. You’re cleared to go in. I’m sorry.” Jensen stood and smiled, “No problem ma’am. I appreciate you keeping her safe.”

She nodded and Jensen walked into your room. He took the chair closest to you and reached for your hand. Taking your hand in his, he rubbed soft circles on the back of your hand while he talked to you. “Hey, Y/N. I just want you to know Jazzy is safe. Nichole is keeping her and I’ve told her if they need anything to let me know. They are still looking for Robert. There’s a warrant out for his arrest, so hopefully they catch him soon. I wish I could make all this go away and you and Jazzy were safe. I’m so sorry, sweetheart.”

Without thinking, Jensen stood, leaned over your bed and placed a kiss on your forehead. He felt a pull towards you and it scared him, because he hardly knew you.

You had been in the hospital for a little over a week. It was late at night and Jensen was getting ready for bed when his phone rang. “Hello?” Jensen said cautiously. “Oh hey, Jensen it’s Nichole. I really hate to ask you, but could you watch Jazzy. I just got an emergency phone call from my sister. I have to go out of town for a few days. Y/N has no other family here and I don’t know what to do.”

Jensen immediately said yes. “Yeah, can you bring her over here? The kids are already in bed. I can get her set up in my guestroom for now.” “Oh Jensen, you’re amazing. Thank you. I am so sorry for this. I know you’ve been pulled into this whole situation and now I’m dumping Jazzy off on you.”

“Hey, Nichole, you’re not dumping her off on me. I offered and told you if you needed anything to let me know. I’m fine with it as long as you think Y/N will be too.” “Oh yeah, she would. Can you send me your address? We could be there in less than 30 minutes.” “Yeah, sure. The gate code is 05301202. Just shoot me a text and I’ll make sure I’m downstairs to help you bring her in.” “Thanks, Jensen. See you soon.”

Jensen walked into the guest room and sighed. He had forgotten it was full of boxes and things he needed to donate but hadn’t had time. He didn’t want to wake the twins up so he decided to make a bed on the floor of his room.

A few minutes later he got a text from Nichole that she was there. He went downstairs and opened the door. She was carrying Jazzy, who was sleeping in her arms. “Want me to take her?” He asked. Nichole shook her head. Jensen carefully took the sleeping child out of Nichole’s arms and carried her upstairs. He laid her down on the floor bed and covered her up.

Walking back downstairs he helped Nichole bring in Jazzy’s things.

“Jensen, thank you again for helping. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. My flight leaves in about an hour so I can’t stay long. Please keep me updated on everything with Y/N. I’ve already called the hospital and told them to contact you with any updates. I’ll be in and out of the hospital back home helping and dealing with my grandmother.” Jensen placed his hand on Nichole’s arm, “It’s fine, you go take care of your family, I’ve got your girls. I promise.” She hugged Jensen and then left.

Jensen crept upstairs and checked on all the kids before crawling into bed. He heard Jazzy’s soft snores and occasional whimper. His heart hurt for her. He knew she missed her mom. His children would do the same thing in their sleep, especially around special days, like birthdays or Mother’s Day.

Jensen finally fell asleep after having his mind race for what felt like forever. When his alarm went off he carefully got up and looked over at Jazmyne. She was still sleeping, and curled into a ball. He grabbed his stuff and tiptoed to the bathroom to get ready.

As he came out he saw the little girl stir awake. Her eyes wide, taking in the room. “Mommy?” Her little voice filled the quiet room. “Hey Jazzy, Auntie Nichole had to bring you here. She had an emergency. You’re going to stay with me, Arrow, Zeppy and JJ until your mommy is better.” She looked at Jensen and nodded. “Like a sleepover?” She asked. Jensen smiled softly, “Yeah, sweetie, like a sleepover.”

A few hours later Jensen found himself back at the hospital sitting beside your bed. The nurses would come in and check on you and him. He would tell them he was fine and didn’t need anything when they asked. Finally the doctor came in and Jensen was out of his chair. He extended his hand, “Hello Dr. Fitzpatrick. It’s good to see you this morning. How’s she healing?” Jensen asked as he gestured to you. “Good morning Mr Ackles, she seems to be healing. We are going to draw some blood this morning and do some scans. See if she’s healed enough to start taking her off the sedation medication.” “That sounds perfect, thank you doctor.”

The nurse came in and drew some blood while Jensen watched on. He sent Nichole a text to check on her and let her know what the doctor said. She didn’t respond yet, so he figured she was busy. He hoped the next time he sent her a text it was to let her know you were awake and okay.

Jensen waited in the room for you to return from the tests. A few hours had passed and they were finally bringing you back in. He had been talking to Jared off and on all day. Jensen even called Clif to get some advice on how to keep you and Jazzy protected.

He was on the phone with Jared when the technician was wheeling you back in. “Yeah, she’s back now. Hang on a sec, Jar.” The tech told Jensen the doctor would review all the tests and be in shortly to go over it. Jensen nodded and thanked him.

“Well that sounds promising, I hope she’s going to be okay. Are you leaving soon to get the kids?” Jared asked. “Yeah. I’ll leave in about an hour. I hope the doctor is here before then.” “Hey, Jensen, why don’t we bring the kids over and we can all eat dinner and the kids can play together. I think that would be good for Jazmyne and you won’t be alone.” “That sounds great, Jar. What can I do or buy?” “Nothing, Gen and I will take care of everything.” “Okay, thanks brother.” “Yeah, no problem, and if you need us to grab the kids we can.” “Okay, thanks. Talk to you soon.”

Jensen sat beside your bed, holding your hand. He watched your chest rise and fall, and listened to the steady beep of the machines. Jensen felt drawn to you. It confused but excited him. He’d never felt an instant connection with someone, an instant need to protect them. Like he does with you. Even with his late wife it took him a while to open up.

There was a soft knock on the door that pulled Jensen out of his thoughts. It was Dr. Fitzpatrick. “Good afternoon Mr. Ackles. So I’ve reviewed her blood work and the scans we took. There isn’t any internal bleeding, no injuries to her brain and her ribs and other broken bones are starting to heal. I don’t see why we can’t start bringing her out of sedation. We can start the process immediately. She still has a long road to recovery, and will need to stay here at least another day or two, but I believe she’s going to be okay.”

Jensen smiled, stood and shook the doctor’s hand. He called Jared and told him what the doctor said, “Jar, I really want to be here. Do you or Gen mind grabbing the kids from school. I’ll call the headmaster and let her know you can get Jazzy too. I really appreciate it man.” “Hey, no problem. I’m glad she’s going to be coming back soon.” “Me too, thanks again Jared.”

Jensen sent Nichole a text to let her know what the doctor said. She replied that she was excited and to give you her love.

Jensen sat right beside you as the sedation medication was removed. They told him it could take a few minutes or a few hours for you to start waking up. He nodded and kept watch.

When you began to stir about an hour later and your eyes started to flutter, Jensen was on the edge of the seat. “Hey, Y/N. That’s right sweetheart, open those eyes for us.” Jensen encouraged.

Your eyes fluttered open and confusion began to fill you. Your voice was very weak, but you managed to speak. “Jjjensen, what are you doing here?” He stepped closer to you and placed his hand on your shoulder, “Hey, Y/N. I’m so glad you’re awake. You’ve been missed.” “How long have I been out?” “Over a week, but don’t worry Jazzy has been well taken care of. Nichole had a family emergency so I offered to take her. The twins have loved having her at the house.”

Tears filled your eyes, “Why are you being so kind to us?” “Because that’s what you do when someone needs help.” Jensen smiled gently at you. “So, Y/N, how are you feeling?” “I’m very sore, and just heartbroken. I can’t believe I let him in our lives. My sweet girl had to see some of the abuse. I’m so stupid and weak. I didn’t want to be alone anymore, so I allowed this monster into our lives. How do I keep her safe when I can’t keep myself safe?”

“You tell her that some people are just mean and those people will try and find your weakness. You work like hell to protect yourself, and when you can’t, you lean on those that can. You tell her that there are more kind people in this world than there are mean ones. Those are the people she needs to surround herself with. People like her mother. People who would do anything to keep her safe and protect her from evil. No matter what. Y/N, you’re not weak or stupid for letting someone like Robert in your life. You’re human, and Jazzy will see that. Above all she will see your strength, the strength to make him leave and then fight like hell to survive and stay here for her.”

Your tears were flowing down your face at Jensen’s words. When he took your hand in his, and wiped away your tears, you leaned into his touch. He was so kind and gentle. Everything you’d heard he was.

The next few days you had to stay in the hospital were brutal. You’d asked Jensen not to bring Jazzy to see you there. You didn’t want her to see you weak and hooked up to things. He kept her at his house and you got to FaceTime her at night.

The last night of your hospital stay you were feeling excited to leave, but even more nervous. You’d be going home, and Robert was still out of jail. The police hadn’t been able to track him down and that scared you. Jensen assured you that you and Jazzy would be safe.

After your FaceTime call with Jazzy, you settled in to try and sleep. Jensen was busy getting all four kids ready for bed. The twins and Jazzy were running around and playing, while JJ was picking out the book for the night.

After baths, brushed teeth, and pajamas, Jensen had all four kids pile in his bed so he could read.

After the story was over Zep asked when Y/N was coming home. “Well, she gets to go home tomorrow. I know she’s really excited about it.” “Daddy, since Jazzy lives here now is her mommy coming here too?” Zeppelin asked with his big eyes twinkling. “No, Zeppy. Jazzy doesn’t live here. She’s just been staying here.” All four children’s faces hung in sadness. Jensen chuckled, “Oh come on guys, you knew Jazzy was just staying here while her mommy was getting better.” “We know daddy, but we want her to stay forever.” Arrow added to the conversation. Jensen sighed, “Okay guys, we will talk about this later. It’s time for bed. Come on.”

The kids got into their beds and fell asleep quickly. Jensen sent you a text.

Jensen: Hey, the kids are asleep, they were upset Jazzy isn’t going to live here forever. 😂

You: Hey, that’s funny. Maybe we can schedule playdates and sleepovers if that’s okay with you. I know Jazzy would love it.

Jensen: I was thinking the same thing. 😀

You: Good. I owe you so much for taking care of her and being here for me.

Jensen: No you don’t. If I was in the same situation I have no doubt you would do the same thing.

You: Oh absolutely. I adore your children. They are so sweet and kind to Jazzy.

Jensen: I’ve definitely tried. It’s been hard, but I’ve had some great support.

You: That’s amazing. So can I ask you something?

Jensen: Sure

You: If I’m out of line or you’re uncomfortable, just tell me, okay?

Jensen: Of course.

You: After your wife passed away how long was it until you started dating again?

Jensen: I went on a few dates, I’d say about 2 years after she died. Nothing worked out, but that doesn’t mean I’m not open to it. My focus is on the kids, so if it happens it happens.

You: I understand that. Robert was the first guy I dated since Josh died. I was scared to let someone in, and now I’m sitting in the hospital because of him.

Jensen: I get that, but you can’t let him ruin your chance at happiness again. You and Jazzy deserve to be loved and taken care of.

You: Thank you, Jensen. So do you and your beautiful children.

Jensen: Thank you. I’ll come pick you up from the hospital tomorrow when you get released and take you home if you want me to.

You: I appreciate that, Jensen. I could always take an Uber to get home.

Jensen: Absolutely not. I’ll pick you up and drive you wherever you want to go.

You: Okay, well I’ll see you in the morning. Good night, Jensen.

Jensen: See you tomorrow, and good night, Y/N. Sweet dreams.

You: Sweet dreams, Jensen.

Jensen put his phone down and climbed into bed. He looked down at the little girl sleeping on the makeshift bed and smiled softly. His heart warmed thinking about her and her mother being in his and his children’s lives. The two of you were already starting to mean something to him. He couldn’t shake the feeling, the need to protect both of you, to be with you.

Jensen laid down and sleep finally washed over him. About 3am he was startled awake by the sound of crying. He leaped out of bed and found Jazmyne crying in her sleep. She woke up, saw Jensen and leaped in his arms.

Jensen sat on the floor holding her and rubbing her head while he rocked her. “Shhh, Jazzy. It’s okay. You’re safe.”

Jazmyne’s hands clung to his shirt and her face was buried in his chest. She continued crying and whimpered out “mommy”. Jensen’s heart broke.

“Mommy’s okay, baby girl. She’s going to come home tomorrow and she can’t wait to see you.” Jazmyne shook her head no. Jensen was a little confused, “What’s no, baby girl?” “I not go home. Mommy not go home. He hurt mommy there.” It made sense to Jensen. She was scared to go back home because that’s where Robert had been when he hurt you.

“Shh, baby. I promise you I will keep you and mommy safe.” Jensen said as he rocked the scared little girl. She clung to his shirt and wouldn’t let go. He tried to lay her down on her bed and she cried and held on tighter. He stood, holding her close and laid her down on his bed. He grabbed her stuffy and handed it to her, and laid down. As he got comfortable, Jazmyne curled up beside him. Soon her soft snores filled the room. Jensen drifted back to sleep.

The next day after Jensen got the kids to school, he arrived at the hospital to wait for you to be released. “Good morning, sweetheart.” Jensen said as he walked into your room. You looked up, smiled and said, “Good morning to you too. Here to bust me out?” You chuckled. “Absolutely.” Jensen flashed his killer smile.

The nurse came in not long after Jensen arrived. She unhooked your IV and the cardio machine. “Go ahead and get dressed, and I’ll get your discharge paperwork together.” You nodded and Jensen stepped to the side of the bed. “Let me help you up.” He said offering you his hand.

You took his hand and as you stood, you stumbled and he caught you. Looking up into his eyes your breath hitched and you bit your lip. Feeling your heart beat wildly in your chest. You steadied yourself and thanked him softly. He nodded as you walked into the bathroom.

You looked in the mirror and saw your battered and bruised face and body. Oh my god. Look at me. Get it together Y/N, there is no way that gorgeous man out there could ever look at you in any way other than a friend, especially now.

You tried to push the thoughts of wanting to kiss Jensen out of your head and get dressed. Your body was in so much pain and covered in bruises, it hurt to even breathe. You wondered how you’d be able to take care of Jazzy, especially with Nichole out of town. You took a deep breath, you knew you’d figure it out.

About an hour and half later you and Jensen were at your house. You had no idea what you’d find when you got there, but you were surprised to find out that after the police finished with their investigation Nichole came and cleaned up the house for you.

Jensen helped you to the couch and you sat down. He could tell something was bothering you, but didn’t want to push. Then your tears started to fall.

Jensen pulled you in his arms, “Shhh, it’s okay. You’re okay. You and Jazzy are safe. I promise. I’ll keep you two safe.” You leaned back and looked at Jensen, his green eyes scanning you. He cupped your face and wiped your tears away. You leaned into his touch.

Without any thought you leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on his lips. When your brain finally caught up to what you were doing you quickly pulled away. Flush filled your cheeks, “Oh my god, I’m so sorry Jensen. I don’t know what came over me.”

You started to get off the couch but he touched your hand, “No, Y/N, please don’t go. That was fine. You have nothing to be sorry about.” His hand on your arm felt so good. You looked at him, sat back down and apologized again.

“Jensen, you’ve been nothing but kind to me and Jazzy. I’m sorry if I put you in an awkward position. I really don’t know what came over me.” Jensen leaned forward, his eyes flicked between your lips and eyes. You leaned forward until your lips ghosted each other’s. Jensen closed the rest of the distance and kissed you. His hand tangled into your hair as he deepened the kiss. Jensen’s tongue ran across your lips, asking for entrance. You parted your lips and your tongues began an intricate dance of dominance.

You moaned into the kiss and felt fire ignite in your body. You hadn’t had a kiss like this since Josh. When the need for air became too much, the two of you pulled away. “Wow.” Was all Jensen could say. You smiled and nodded. As he started to lean back in to kiss you there was a knock at the door.

Jensen groaned and stood to answer it. He looked back at you and smiled before he opened the door. You smiled back, but as soon as he opened the door your smile was replaced by a look of horror.

Jensen turned to look at the person at the door as you said, “Robert.”

*This chapter sets up the story-it’s a bit long due to this.*

Minors DNI 18+

You sat on the side of your bed rubbing your arm, trying to get the sting of the pain to go away. Another night, another argument with Robert, your boyfriend. You’d only been dating about 9 months, and at first everything seemed perfect. You felt the sting of the tears fill your eyes

Knowing how much he hated when you cried, you fought to keep them at bay. Crying after he hit you only made things worse. You were thankful, however, your four year old daughter, Jazmyne was already in bed.

You did your best to keep her shielded from the violence that plagued your life now. Your late husband, Josh, was a kind, gentle man. He wouldn’t lift a hand to you and was an amazing father to Jazmyne. Josh was so gentle that if a spider got into the house he’d scoop it up and carry it outside. He died unexpectedly after a workplace accident. Your heart was irrevocably broken when the two of you lost him.

Now Robert was in your lives. You met him at a house party and he swept you off your feet. The first time he hit you, the two of you were arguing and things got heated quickly. Then he slapped you across your face, drawing blood from your mouth. You made him leave and told him it was over.

For almost a month you kept him at bay. Then loneliness, apologies and manipulation took over. You took him back. Things were fine, and then a switch flipped again.

The latest fight was over dinner. You’d come home late from work and he was mad because dinner was late. After picking Jazmyne up at your friend’s house you decided to stop and grab a pizza. When you got home, he was there and became angry when he saw the pizza box.

“What the fuck is that?” He growled as he motioned to the box. “It’s dinner, and I’ve asked you not to use that language in front of my daughter.” He stepped closer to you and grabbed your chin hard, “I’ll talk however the fuck I want you stupid bitch!” You jerked your face away and set the box down.

Looking at Jazmyne you spoke softly, “Go play while mommy gets your dinner ready, okay?” Your beautiful little girl nodded and bounded down the hall to her room.

You grabbed a plate for your toddler and started to cut up her slice of pizza. “You’re a lazy fucking whore, you know that. What kind of mother doesn’t cook for her family?” You ignored him and kept getting Jazmyne’s food ready.

He grabbed your arm hard, pulling you around to face him and causing you to drop her plate. “Don’t you fucking ignore me. I asked you a question.” “Robert, I’m not in the mood to fight with you. I think you should leave. I’m exhausted and I need to get Jazzy ready for dinner and bed. I don’t have time to deal with this.”

You tried to pull your arm out of his grip, but it was too tight. “Let me the fuck go!” You yelled.

Robert got in your face, his eyes dark with anger, “I’ll let you go when I feel like it. You belong to ME!” He let go of you, grabbed some food and went to sit in the living room. You walked towards Jazmyne’s room and found her crying.

You ran in and got on the floor, “Oh baby, what’s wrong?” “He hurt mommy.” She softly said. You scooped her up and held her tight, knowing you needed to make a change before it was too late. “I’m okay baby girl, I promise. Let’s go eat our pizza and we can play with your new bath paint tonight.”

She smiled wide and nodded. You took her into the kitchen, put her at the table and got her a piece of pizza. You cut her slice and grabbed you one too. You noticed she kept looking towards Robert and you could see the fear in her eyes. You knew exactly what you needed to do.

After dinner, you got Jazmyne in the tub and she played with her new bath paint. She talked about her new friends at preschool and how much fun they were. You had recently put her in preschool to help her socialize and to shield her from the crap between you and Robert.

“So, Jazzy, what are their names?” You asked her as she excitedly talked about her new friends. “Arrow and Zeppy, they are twins, well his name is Zeppelin, but everyone calls him Zeppy.” She said with a smile on her face. You almost choked on air. There was no way these children are the children of the man you’d pined after, Jensen Ackles. You’d been a fan of his for years and watched everything he was in, at least twice. You were heartbroken when you heard his wife died during childbirth. She was giving birth to the twins, and there were complications.

Jensen disappeared from public life after the death of his wife. He still acted on Supernatural, but his appearances in public and at conventions stopped. It wasn’t until recently he had started to make sporadic appearances and going back to conventions.

After her bath you got her ready and into bed. Walking into the living room you saw Robert sitting on the couch. “We need to talk.” You said as you walked in. He looked up from his phone and his jaw clenched.

“I’m going to record this conversation for my protection and yours. I don’t want any confusion as to what is being said tonight.” You told him as you hit record on your phone and he scoffed.

“I deserve better than to be with someone who puts their hands on me. My priority is my daughter, and she always will be. I don’t want her to grow up thinking it’s okay to be hit or grabbed by someone who says they love her. I want you to leave, and not come back. I’m not doing this anymore. We aren’t good for each other, so this, (you motioned between the two of you), is over.”

Robert sat silently. The eerie silence sent a chill through your body. He sat up and started to speak low, “If that’s what you think, then I guess there isn’t anything I can do about it.” “That’s what I’m saying. I need your key.” He pulled out his keys and took the house key off his ring. Then he stood up, grabbed his stuff and left.

You let out the breath you were holding and quickly went and locked up the house. You called your best friend and told her what happened. She was glad you finally kicked him out. “Do you need me to come over tonight?” She asked. “No, he left his key, so I’m sure it’s going to be okay.” You reassured her. “Okay, well I’m proud of you, if you need me, let me know.” “I will, I love you girl.” “Love you too, bye.”

Hanging up you grabbed your pajamas and went to take a shower. Climbing in you felt the pain from Robert’s abuse. You cried. Your tears mixing with the water that cascaded from the showerhead.

After your shower you climbed into bed and scrolled on your phone. You found yourself on Jensen’s Instagram page, smiling at the pictures he’d posted of himself and his children. A new post popped up and it made your heart flutter. It was a picture of his twins and he captioned it with “These two are rocking their first year of preschool. Zeppy has a new little friend he talks about all the time. He said she’s a princess because her name is Jasmine.” Your eyes went wide, was he talking about your Jazzy? You smiled and put your phone down, falling asleep.

The next morning you got Jazzy up and ready for school. On the drive there she was really quiet. “Jazzy, baby, what’s wrong?” You looked in the mirror and met your daughter’s big green eyes. They were full of sadness and fear, “I’m scared mommy.” A frown formed on your face, “What are you scared of baby?” “Robert. He hurt you.” “Oh baby, I’m okay. I made him leave. He won’t be back. It’s just you and me now.” A small smile formed on her face.

Getting her out of her seat at the school the two of you walked hand in hand towards the entrance. Your daughter squealed in excitement and dropped your hand, taking off towards two children. “Arrow, Zeppy!” She squealed. The two children turned around and smiled, running towards her.

You continued walking and made it to the very excited children. Hugs were exchanged and giggles filled the air. Then there he was, Jensen Ackles. He chuckled as he walked up to you and the three children, “Oh this must be the little princess.” You smiled as your eyes met his. He extended his hand, “Hello, I’m Jensen, and these two are mine, Arrow and Zeppelin.” You extended your hand to shake his hand, not realizing there was a bruise on your arm or on the side of your face. “Hi, it’s nice to meet you, I’m Y/N and this little one is Jazmyn. I’ve heard so much about your children from her. They are really sweet to her.”

You noticed his eyes kept scanning you and that’s when you noticed the bruise. You pulled your arm back and felt the embarrassment fill your cheeks. Zeppelin spoke up, breaking the silence between you and Jensen, “Daddy, can we have a playdate after school? Pleeease.” The three children were looking up at Jensen and you. “Well, how about we plan something for the weekend, that way you three can have longer to play, I mean if it’s okay with you.” He looked at you. “Oh absolutely. Besides, I have to work late today and Jazzy will be at her Auntie Nichole’s house.”

Jensen grabbed the twins’ hands and started to walk towards the door, “We probably should get them inside.” He gestured. “Yeah, don’t want them to be late.”

After saying your goodbyes, you and Jensen walked towards the parking lot together. “Hey, Y/N. Let me give you my number so we can work out the details of the playdate, and if um, you need anything, please call me.” You offered him a soft smile, “That would be great, Jensen, thank you. I know Jazzy will love it.”

The two of you said your goodbyes, and as you started to walk away Jensen stopped and called your name. “Hey, Y/N.” He stepped closer to you, “He’s an asshole and you don’t deserve that. I promise we aren’t all like that. If you need anything, please call me.” “Thank you, Jensen. For everything, and just so you know I made him leave and broke up with him.” Jensen smiled and lightly touched your arm, “good”.

Hours later your shift was done. Nichole had picked Jazzy up from school and she was going to bring her home later. You pulled into your driveway and walked in your house. Putting your stuff down you decided you’d take a quick shower before Jazmyne got home.

Getting out of the shower and getting dressed you walked into the living room and turned on the television. Just as you sat down the doorbell rang. You thought it was Nichole with Jazmyne, but you were wrong. Standing in front of you with eyes full of rage was Robert.

“Robert, what the hell are you doing here?” Before you could get an answer he came into the house and punched you across the face. You fell to the ground and he started kicking you and punching you.

You put your hands up to defend yourself and screamed and cried for help and for him to stop. After what felt like hours, he finally left. You laid on the floor, bleeding and in so much pain. You found the strength to grab your phone and pushed the call button.

“Hello?” The voice on the other end said. You were in and out of consciousness. You started to speak weakly, “Help me…” “Y/N!? Is that you? It was Jensen. You accidentally called Jensen. “Y/N! Answer me, what’s wrong?”

All you could get out was “Jazzy.” Before you passed out. Jensen hung up, called the headmaster at the preschool and told them what happened. They told Jensen they would call 911, he asked for your address but they wouldn’t give it to him.

Panic filled his body. He called Jared and had him and Gen watch the kids. He was heading to the closest hospital to wait to see if you were brought there.

The ambulance arrived and Jensen saw you. He tried to get the nurse to tell him what was going on with you, but she wouldn’t give him any information. He paced the waiting room floor and tried everything he could think of to get someone to give him information.

About 30 minutes later he saw Jazmyne come in with a woman who was close to your age. Jazmyne immediately saw Jensen and ran to him. Nichole tried to grab her, but she was too quick.

Jensen scooped her up and she threw her arms around his neck, “Hey Jazzy, are you okay? You’re not hurt are you?” Nichole stepped closer, “Oh hi, um how do you know Y/N and Jazzy?” “Hi, I’m Jensen. Jazzy goes to daycare with my twins, and that’s how I know Y/N. She and I just met today, but I’ve known Jazzy.”

Nichole stretched her hand out, “Hi, I’m Nichole, Y/N’s best friend. Do you know what happened?”

“Not really. She called me and all she said was “Help me, then she said Jazzy’s name. I didn’t know her address so I called the headmaster and told her what happened. I can only assume this was her ex’s doing. She told me she kicked him out.” “She did, but I think he came back over tonight.”

Just then the doctor came out. “I’m here for the family of Ms Y/L/N” Jensen and Nichole stepped forward. “Hi, we’re her family. How is she?” “I’m Dr Fitzpatrick and I’ve been treating her. She has multiple lacerations, some broken ribs, a broken nose and orbital bone, and lots of bruising. She was beat up so badly we have to put her in a medically induced coma to help her body heal. She will be in it for a few days.”

Jensen and Nichole gasped, “When can we see her?” Nichole asked softly. “You can see her one at a time, but I don’t recommend you take her in there.” The doctor nodded. They both nodded, “Nichole, you go and I’ll stay with Jazzy.”

Nichole nodded, thanked Jensen and walked to your room. About 30 minutes later Nichole was walking back into the waiting room with red, puffy eyes.

Jensen walked up to her and gave her a hug. She sobbed into his chest. “Jensen, she looks so bad. How could anyone ever do something like that to her. She’s such an amazing person.” Jensen just held her tight. “Do you mind if I go see her?” He asked softly. She shook her head.

As Jensen walked down the hallway his heart rate sped up. When he saw you laying in your bed, bloodied, bruised and broken his heart ached and anger filled his body. Robert had to pay. He sat beside your side and held your hand, “Hey Y/N, Jazzy is safe. We need you to get better. I can’t plan that playdate by myself.” He chuckled as he held you tight.

Before he left the room, he leaned over and kissed your forehead. He wasn’t sure what made him do it, but he felt the need to do it, “You’re safe Y/N, and so is Jazzy. I promise you both will be safe.”

Jensen walked back towards Nichole and Jazzy. He gave Nichole his number and told her if she needed anything, or any help with Jazzy to give him a call or send him a text. She nodded and said thank you.

Jazzy clung tightly to his neck, and Nichole had to pry him off. Jensen stepped closer, “hey, Jazzy, maybe Auntie Nichole can bring you over tomorrow afternoon so you can play with the Arrow and Zeppy, would you like that? She nodded wildly, “Okay, see you tomorrow then.”

Then Jensen was gone. A few hours later, when she was sure you were out of the woods, she and Jazzy left for the night.

She was worried about you, but Jensen, oh Jensen was worried about you, Jazzy, and wanted to hurt Robert for hurting you. He couldn’t shake the feeling, but drove home.

You were left laying in the bed, listening to the sounds of conversations and unable to react or speak to them. You heard Jensen, felt Jensen, and above all you felt his emotion behind his voice. That was something you were thankful to have heard and felt, at least that and Jazzy gave you something worth fighting for.

The Demon and Me

Characters: Demon Dean x Plus Size Reader

Warnings: Individual chapters have their own warnings.

A/N: Oh Demon Dean…he makes me feral-sorry not sorry. Just a short story that popped in my head. I have a ton of chapters for other stories half written, but I couldn’t help myself. Dean is now a demon and the reader is left with the weight of his absence, what will happen when he returns to the bunker?

Not sure how many chapters-just wanted to write a Demon Dean fic.

Rekindled pt 3

Characters: Russell Shaw x Reader

Warnings: SMUT! Just pure SMUT in this chapter….sorry not sorry, unprotected consensual sex, (cover it up people), some mild language

A/N: I haven’t written a Russell fic yet and with him coming back to Tracker I wanted to test it out. Just a quick story about him. Written fast and edited fast. Maybe a few chapters.

All work is my own, used characters from the show Tracker, but this does not follow the story

Minors DNI 18+

You had a hard time sleeping because you kept thinking about Russell and what your future looked like together. Finally falling asleep for a few hours you woke up exhausted. It was about 6:30 in the morning. Trying to get more sleep but you just couldn’t turn your mind off. So, you groaned and climbed out of bed.

The house was quiet as you made your way to the kitchen. You started the coffee and checked your phone. You saw a message from Russell, and you smiled.

Russell: Hey sweetheart. I can’t stop thinking about you. I still can’t believe we have a son together. He’s amazing, baby. Let me know when you get up and what time you want me to come over.

You: Hey, good morning. I can’t believe it sometimes either. He is a pretty cool kid. 😁 I can’t stop thinking about you too. I’m the only one awake, so you can come over whenever you want.

Russell: Good morning, sweetheart. I’ll be there soon.

You: Okay, see you soon.

As soon as you hit send there was a soft knock on the door. Walking over to the door you saw Russell standing there with a grin and a box of white powdered doughnuts. You smirked, “How long have you been here this morning?” You said as you stepped to the side, letting him come in. “Oh only about an hour.” He chuckled. “An hour?! Russell, you should have knocked. I was awake.”

He sat the doughnuts down on the counter and stepped closer to you, cupped your face and placed a soft kiss on your lips. “You’re so beautiful. I forgot how beautiful you looked first thing in the morning.” You blushed, “Oh yeah, I look so sexy. Oversized shirt, sleep shorts and my hair is a mess.”

Russell pulled you closer to his body, “Darlin’ you look good enough to eat.” He whispered into your ear as his lips ghosted over your lobe. Your thighs clenched together and you softly gasped. His hot breath rushed over your neck as he placed a kiss on your pulse point.

Blush filled your cheeks as you kissed his lips softly. Whispering against his lips, “Russell, I can’t stop thinking about you, about us. I want you in our lives. I want you to help me raise our son.” “I can’t stop thinking about you either, Y/N. I want to be with you too and help you raise our son. I’ve already missed 3 years, I’m not planning on missing anymore.”

Russell gently placed his lips on your again. Your hands went into his hair and pulled him closer. You moaned into his mouth, feeling the desire coarse through your body, and his arousal evident by the bulge in his pants.

You took his hand in yours and started to walk towards your bedroom. As the two of you get to the door Russell stops, “Are you sure? I know we said we should take this slow.” Placing your hands on his chest, you looked into his eyes, “Russell, I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life. I want you, only you.”

His lips crash on yours and moans escape both of your lips. Russell guides you into your room, closes the door with his foot and locks it. His hands pull your shirt up and over your head, exposing your soft, ample breasts. He lets out a low growl, causing you to smirk.

Your hands slide to the hem of his shirt and with one swift move he pulls it over his head. You bite your lip. It’s been so long since you’ve seen Russell, and he has definitely changed for the better. His chest is broad and toned. Light freckles outline his torso. You could feel your desire and your panties getting soaked.

Russell picked you up and carried you to the bed. You wrapped your legs around his hips and the two of you kissed like your lips were the only thing keeping the two of you alive. Your body was on fire and so full of want and need.

Russell gently laid you on the bed and rested his hands on either side of your head. “God you’re so beautiful.” He whispered before he kissed you again. His lips trailed down your body, leaving love bites and a line of fire and goosebumps on your skin. As he moved further down your body, your back arched up.

Your heart pounding in your chest, your body vibrating with excitement. Russell looked up at you with hooded eyes, his green eyes dark with lust and love. His fingers hooking your sleep shorts. You nodded and he pulled your shorts and panties down with one quick pull.

Russell smirked when he saw how wet you already were. He adjusted his jeans, you could see his erection getting bigger. “Russ, one of us is over dressed.” You smirked, your voice dripping with desire. He chuckled and began to unbutton his pants, sliding down his jeans and boxers.

Your breath hitched when you saw his hard cock spring from the confines of his jeans. You had forgotten how incredibly blessed he was. Biting your lip, you felt your arousal running down your ass and onto the bed.

Russell slowly kissed up your thighs and his fingers lightly pushed your legs apart. Your desire building, the anticipation filling your body. You felt like you could cum right then. Russell slowly teased your entrance with his fingers. You moaned with need and desire. Your body reacting to his touch.

He smirked as he watched your body shake with desire. “Baby please, I need you.” You practically whined. Russell’s fingers slowly parted your folds, using your wetness to coat his fingers, he slowly, painfully slowly moved his fingers in. You arched your hips off the bed at the contact and let out a loud moan.

Russell kissed you, trying to quiet you, “Shh baby. We don’t want to wake anyone up.” You didn’t care. The need, the desire was too overwhelming. Russell started to push his fingers all the way in and he slid them out. Setting a pace and using his thumb to rub your clit. You felt your core tighten, your release was not far off. Russell felt your body tremble and your walls get tighter. He knew you were close.

You were panting and moaning under him. He loved watching you come undone under him. Your eyes fluttered open and closed, your lips parting as moans escaped, your body trembling as you teetered on the edge. He hooked his fingers up and continued pumping. “Oh, R..r…r” you babbled incoherently. “Yeah baby, I know. Come on, let go for me.” You threw your head back and let out a loud moan as you came hard. It had been years since you had a mind blowing orgasm.

Russell continued pumping as he helped you ride out your high. As your legs started to shake and tried to close, he held them apart. Without warning you came again, this time you screamed in ecstasy. His lips attached to yours, trying to stifle your voice.

“Baby, you have to keep quiet. We don’t want to wake up your mom or Jr.” Russell chuckled. You blushed, and as you got your senses somewhat back, you looked up at him. His eyes were so full of love, “I’m sorry, that was just incredible. Russ I need you, please.”

Russell nodded, pumped himself a few times and lined himself up. You bit your lip and your eyes locked on each other’s. Russell slowly pushed in, pulling a moan from both of you. Your back arching off the bed, his hands gripping your hips. As he bottomed out, you felt the delicious stretch that came from his hard cock. His head dipped into the crook of your neck and his breath was shaky. “Damn, I forgot how incredible you feel around me.”

You smiled and moved your hips a little. He hissed, you giggled. Russell put his hands around your head on the bed, locking you in between his strong arms. He thrusted in and out, setting a rhythmic pace. The sounds of moans, grunts and the bed squeaking filled the air.

Your pants and moans filled Russell’s ears like a beautiful symphonic masterpiece that he was helping compose. His lips softly pressed against yours as he continued to push inside you. Your hands slid up his back and rested on his biceps. Each movement you felt his muscles tighten and relax.

Russell leaned up on his knees, taking his arms and hooking your thighs around them, and he thrusted in deeper. You gasped at the change of the position and how deep he was going. Each thrust was pushing you closer to another release. His cockhead hitting your cervix.

Your body was covered in sweat and goosebumps, the feeling of arousal and need filling your soul. Russell’s skin was on fire and covered with a soft sheen of sweat. You knew he was getting closer to his release, his movements became faster, more erratic. Your release wasn’t far behind. “I’m gonna cum again, baby.” You moaned into his ear.

As you felt your release hit, Russell’s movements faltered a bit. You came hard, wrapping your walls around his hard length. Russell grunted and his release followed, your walls milking his seed out of him as he coated your walls. His cock continued twitching inside you, Russell dipped his head down, whispering, “Fuck, that was incredible.” You smiled and touched his bicep, “more than incredible, baby.”

“I love you, Russell.” You whispered. Russell picked his head up, looked into your eyes and placed a soft kiss on your lips, “I love you too, Y/N. So much.” Russell’s cock softened and he pulled out of you, walking into the bathroom to grab a cloth to clean you both up. He returned to the bed, cleaned you and then himself.

He climbed into the bed beside you, pulling the blanket over the two of you. He offered you his arm, so you snuggled beside him and laid your head on his chest. Russell’s fingers drew delicate patterns on your arm and back as he held you.

“Baby, this feels amazing, and I’m not just talking about the sex. I’m talking about being in your arms, being here with you again, and being with our son.” “Yeah it does, Russell. I know we have a lot to figure out, but this, this right now is perfect.” The two of you shared another kiss and you laid your head back down. Taking in the blissful moment you two found yourself in.

A Shattered Heart pt 3

Jensen x Reader (girlfriend)

Warnings: little bit of Angst, longing, fluff

A/N: Working on wrapping this up. Not sure how long it’s going to be, maybe this chapter is it. So, here is the 3rd part of the story. This is a work of fiction and does not depict real life. All work is my own and absolutely no disrespect to Jensen or his family. No idea why my head is filled with this story…..it’s brutal. There are a few time jumps in this chapter, please bear with me. I wrote it fast, and didn’t do a great job editing. Please overlook any errors.

Minors DNI 18+

Your breath hitched and a lump formed in your throat. You could barely speak, but managed to whisper out, “Jensen.” “Hey sweetheart.” He replied in his soft, silky voice. You blinked, not believing your eyes. Standing frozen and unable to speak.

Your mother quickly walked to the door and pushed past you, “Jensen! Oh honey, what a nice surprise. It’s so good to see you.” She pulled Jensen into a hug. He hugged her back, but kept his eyes on you.

“Jensen, what are you doing here?” You were able to finally say. “I came to see you. I couldn’t wait for you to come home. I told you I was going to do whatever I could to fix this, us.” You inhaled a shaky breath, stepping to the side to let him in the house. Your mother walked ahead and your dad greeted Jensen in the hall. Jensen extended his hand, “Mr. Y/L/N, it’s good to see you again, sir.” Your father took his hand and shook it, “It’s good to see you too, son. I hope you’re here to make things right with my little girl.”

You spun your head and looked at your father, “Dad!” He chuckled, “Sorry baby girl, but I will always look out for you.” Jensen smirked, “As you should, sir. She’s an extraordinary woman.” Jensen touched your hand softly and you felt a shiver run through your body.

“Believe me, sir. I’m here to fight for her. To do whatever I can to fix what I broke.” Your dad looked at Jensen and nodded.

“Jensen, honey, I just made breakfast. Would you like something to eat? We have plenty.” “Yes, ma’am. That would be great.”

You looked over at your mom who was grinning, “Mom, did you know he was coming?” She gasped and feigned innocence, “Of course not, Y/N. Why would you think that?” She shot Jensen a wink and he chuckled. You rolled your eyes. “Of course you knew.”

The four of you sat down and began eating breakfast. Your parents were asking Jensen about his latest projects and how it was being in California for shooting. Jensen answered every question without sounding annoyed or bothered by them. You sat in silence, listening and watching. Jensen would glance over at you as he would talk and offer you a soft smile. Your mom would smile when she saw it.

When breakfast was done you got up to clean up. “Oh honey, I’ve got the dishes, you and Jensen go do something together.” Your mom tried to shoo you out of the kitchen. “Mom, you cooked, let me clean, please.” After a few minutes of back and forth your mom gave in.

“Here, let me help too.” Jensen said as he rolled up his sleeves. You glanced at him and nodded. Putting away the food and cleaning the kitchen proved to be a little more difficult than you had envisioned with Jensen helping. The two of you kept bumping into each other, when you had trouble reaching something he came up behind you and helped, at one point you slipped and he grabbed you, keeping you from falling.

You locked eyes with him as his strong arms held you. Your breath hitched and your heart beat fast. Biting your lip, you took a deep, shaky breath, “Thank you for catching me, Jensen.” “Of course, darlin’, I’ll always catch you.” As you stood up, his arms were still holding you, his hand brushed your hair back, “You’re so beautiful, Y/N.” A blush filled your cheeks.

It took everything in your power to pull away from him. Your body aching to kiss him, to touch him, but you were still deeply hurt. Jensen understood, but he wanted to kiss you too.

After you two cleaned up the kitchen the four of you sat in the living room and talked. Your mom asked Jensen if he was staying at the house, and he told her he booked a hotel room. Part of you was sad, but you appreciate his effort.

“So, what do you two have planned today?” Your mom asked with a grin. Jensen looked at you, “Well whatever she wants to do. I’d like to take a drive later and you can show me some of the places you visited growing up.” You nodded, “I’d like that, Jensen.”

“Well, Y/D/N, I think we should head out, we’ve got that thing to do.” Your dad looked at your mom like she was crazy, and she gave him a not so subtle look. “Oh yeah, yep. I think we should head out.” Your mom bent down and hugged you, whispering in your ear, “Give him a chance sweetie. You both deserve that.” She kissed your head and you nodded.

After your parents left there was a pregnant silence that fell between you and Jensen. “So baby, what did you want to do today?” Jensen asked as he stood. “Honestly, the drive sounds good. I always loved just riding around with you.” “Baby before we leave, can I ask you something?” Jensen stepped closer to you. “Of course, Jensen.” “Would it be too forward if I asked you for a hug? I’ve missed hugging you.” You smiled softly, “No, I’d like that too.”

Jensen stepped closer, you could smell his cologne and it was driving you wild. He pulled you by your waist towards him. You wrapped your arms around him and he pulled you into a hug. Relief, love, and electricity surged through your body. You placed your head on his chest and could hear the steady beat of his heart. You inhaled deeply, because you missed his smell and his body close to yours.

As you leaned back, looking in his eyes, you both smiled. Jensen’s eyes flicked between your eyes and your lips. You did the same. He leaned in slowly then stopped. Jensen waited for you to close the distance. You took a deep, shaky breath and leaned in. Your lips ghosting his. Jensen’s hands went into your hair and deepened the kiss. You melted into his arms.

When the two of you parted your lips were on fire. He rubbed his thumb over your lips. Your heart was pounding in your chest. “Sweetheart, I missed that.” “Me too, Jens.”

He pulled you close and held you. This felt right, but you knew both of you had work to do if you were going to make it.

“Come on sweetheart, let’s go for a ride.” You nodded, Jensen took your hand and led you to the car. He opened the door and you got in.

Driving around town, you showed Jensen places you frequented growing up. You smiled talking about the memories and Jensen was enjoying seeing where you grew up.

He loved watching you reminiscing. Jensen took your hand in his as he continued driving around town. “Where to next, sweetheart?” “I’d love to show you the lake we used to swim in. It’s where I got my first kiss too.” You giggled.

“Oh really? Hmm might have to recreate that.” Jensen said, winking at you. “Oh god no, it was horrible.” You laughed. Jensen laughed, throwing his head back, “Well then maybe we need to create some new memories there.” You looked over at Jensen and smiled, “I think I’d like that, baby.”

Jensen drove towards the lake as a comfortable silence fell between the two of you. The rumble of the engine and the soft sounds of the music filling the car. You glanced over at Jensen, his jaw relaxed, he looked relaxed. Your heart fluttered like a teenager. Thinking about the first time you met him at the convention and how sweet he was to you, filled you with love.

Then the memories of the past week playing in your head, your smile faltered. You loved Jensen, but part of you was still deeply hurt. Your mom’s voice echoing in your head “If you’re in love with him and he’s in love with you, then you owe it to yourselves to give it another chance.” You knew she was right, but how do you start to fix this when all you want to do is fall into his arms and forget all the hurt. If you did that, nothing would be resolved, and this could happen again. You didn’t want that. You wanted a solid relationship with him, one where both of you felt safe and loved, and not afraid the other would throw this away.

Arriving at the lake, the sun was high in the sky. It was a beautiful day, with a slight breeze. Jensen opened your door and took your hand. You smiled and softly thanked him.

You walked around the lake with him and talked about all the things you and your friends would do. His laughter filled the air as you recounted the day you and your best friends almost got arrested.

“You three did what?!” Jensen laughed. “We were playing truth or dare and Ashley dared me to go skinny dipping, so I did it. Then I double dared her to do it, and so on. By the time the cops rolled up we were all splashing and laughing, naked in the water. The first cop to walk up was a friend of my boyfriend at the time, his partner was Ashley’s boyfriend. So needless to say we got away with it. Thank god Ashley was able to sweet talk him. It definitely was a night to remember.”

Jensen smiled and chuckled softly, “I bet it was. Do your parents know?” “Oh god no! I was 20, so they didn’t need to know. I would die if they found out.” You laughed.

The two of you continued to walk around, eventually sitting on the grass beside the lake, talking and laughing as the sun started to dip in the sky.

Jensen’s POV

I love her laugh, and the way her eyes sparkle when she’s laughing. I still can’t believe I almost lost her. Hell, maybe I have and she’s just being polite, but damn that kiss, it was everything. Y/N is like a breath of fresh air for me. She’s incredibly kind, great with my kids, loves me even when I’m an ass, and she supports me. I’ve never had someone like her in my life. I need to figure out how to fix this. How do I get us back, better than we were before. I hope coming here was a little bit of a start. At least she didn’t slam the door in my face when she saw me.

Jensen couldn’t help but stare at you. “Y/N, I think we should talk about what happened.” You took a shaky breath in and let it out, “Yeah, I think we should.” Your heart was pounding in your chest, you knew this conversation was needed, but you weren’t sure if you could handle it if he told you he didn’t want to be with you.

Jensen turned toward you, “Y/N, what I said and did, there isn’t any excuse for it. I’ve been in love with you since the moment I saw you. Your laugh filled the convention hall and I’ll cherish the memories of us taking the photos together. Your blush on your cheeks, and how nervous you were. Meeting you that day turned my whole world upside down, in the best way. I never should have pushed you away when things got hard. You’ve always been there for me and helped me navigate the divorce, never once wavering in your support for me or your love for me. I need you to know that if you decide to come back I will spend the rest of my life proving to you how sorry I am for what I’ve done to you. Words are hollow if actions don’t back them up. So, I want you to know I’ve spoken to my manager and the producers, I’m going to film for 2 weeks then come home for 3. I have no reason to fill my schedule and be away from home anymore. I want to be with you, with the kids. I also want you to come with me to set, to conventions, to premieres, you name it, I want you by my side, when you can.”

You sat in silence, tears pooling in your eyes and slowly spilling out. “Jensen, I don’t know what to say. I still love you so much, I know it’s going to take some time to fix us, but I’m willing to try. I’d love to go to set with you, and conventions. I’m not sure about premieres, though. I don’t think I’m red carpet material.” Jensen leaned forward, cupped your face, “Darlin’ you’re stunning, you’re more than red carpet material, you’re everything to me.” He kissed your lips softly and you blushed.

“I think we should rebuild our relationship. Start from the beginning. When we met, you were in the middle of your separation and divorce. Everything between us happened quickly. I don’t think we spent enough time getting to know each other, or dating, before I moved in.”

Jensen nodded in understanding, “Okay, baby. What do you want to do then? I’ll do whatever it takes. I’m not going anywhere unless you want me to.” “Jens, I don’t want you to. I think when I get back to Texas I should move out, temporarily. We need to find ourselves and how we fit together. I don’t think we can do that if we’re living together. I don’t know how long it will be, but I really think it’s what we need. That way if we need space we have it. We need to learn how to communicate on the bad days, and through the rough patches.”

Jensen sat beside you and tears filled his eyes. Your heart ached when you saw the tears start falling. You cupped his face and wiped the tears away with your thumb, “Jens, I’m sorry. I don’t want to hurt you, but I really think this is what’s best for us. I love you so much, and I think we have something worth saving, worth fighting for.”

Jensen nodded, “Me too baby. These tears aren’t because I’m sad, it’s because I’m happy we are going to try. I wish we could still live together, but I understand, I really do. I just want you back in my life, you’re everything to me, you’re my home, Y/N.”

*Time jump 3 days*

“Y/N, when is Jensen coming over?” Your mom yelled from the kitchen. “In about 15 minutes. He said he’s got a surprise for me.” You said as you put your shoes on. Your mom walked into the living room and looked at you, “Oh sweetie, you look beautiful. He’s not going to know what to do. So do you have protection?” Your eyes went wide and you almost spit out your drink, “Mom! What in the world?!” She smiled at you, “Oh honey, don’t think I don’t know you’re having sex, especially with him.” Your face filled with a blush that burned red hot, “Mom! Good lord, for your information, we aren’t having sex. We haven’t had sex since before our fight. Why the heck am I even telling you this!? We decided to take things slow, start dating again and let things happen naturally.” “Well honey, I’m glad you two are working it out. I really like him, and he’s good to you and for you. I just can’t wait to see the babies you two make.” You groaned, “Mom! He already has 3 kids, we haven’t even talked about kids.” “Well then I already have 3 grandkids I can’t wait to spoil.” “Ugh, mom! We aren’t engaged, or married. They aren’t technically your grandkids.” “We’ll see, Y/N.” You rolled your eyes as you grabbed your bag.

There was a soft knock on the front door, your mom said she’d get it. Opening the door she saw Jensen standing in a blue henley shirt, with black jeans, and his boots. You bit your lip when you saw him. “Hello Y/M/N, you’re looking beautiful today.” Your mom giggled, and pulled him in for a hug, “Oh Jensen, flattery will get you everywhere.” He chuckled and looked up at you. You saw him lick his lips and pull his bottom lip in to bite it.

“Hello darlin’, you look absolutely stunning. Are you ready to go?” You smiled and nodded. Your mom touched your arm as you went out the door. Jensen led you to the car. “Sweetheart, do you trust me?” You looked at him suspiciously, “In theory, yes. I am nervous though.” Jensen smiled, “Don’t be, but I need to blindfold you.” You nodded and bit your lip.

Jensen slipped the blindfold on you and you sat nervously beside him. His hand in yours, your heart beating fast with anticipation. A few minutes later the car stopped. You heard Jensen get out and open your door. He took your hand and helped you out of the car.

“Just a little bit further, Y/N. Okay, right there.” Your breath hitched with anticipation. “Can I take off the blindfold?” “Not yet. Give me just a second.” You nervously fidgeted and bit your lip. “Okay, baby, take it off.” You slid the blindfold down and your breath caught in your throat as you softly gasped. Laid out in front of you was a blanket, some food, and twinkle lights all around. It was absolutely breathtaking. “Oh Jensen, it’s beautiful. How did you do this?”

He smiled at you, “I had some help from your dad and Clif.” You looked over and saw your dad and Clif smiling. Clif walked over and pulled you into a big hug, “You make him take care of you, sweetpea. I almost kicked his ass for what he did.” You smiled, “Thanks Clif, I think he learned his lesson.” Your dad hugged you and shook Jensen’s hand. “I’ll see you later, baby girl. Jensen, thank you for the talk earlier. I appreciate it.” You looked at Jensen and then your dad, “What talk?” Your dad pulled you into a hug, “Nothing, just between a father and his daughter’s boyfriend.”

Clif and your dad left, leaving you and Jensen alone. You both sat down on the blanket and you looked at Jensen. “Jens, this is perfect, thank you. I love you so much.” “I love you too, baby.”

**Time jump 1 year**

It had been a year since you and Jensen almost broke up. He was true to his word, spending more time at home, opening communication between the two of you, and working on your relationship. You still hadn’t moved back in with him, but you were starting to think it might be time. The past year has been incredible with Jensen. After returning to Texas, he helped you find a place to live, and the two of you began dating and repairing your relationship.

You had gone to LA with him a few times, gone to some conventions, and spent time with him and his kids. Danneel was starting to ease up on him, probably because she was in a new relationship too. You and her sat down and talked, coming to an understanding and a mutual respect for each other. Things between her, Jensen and you were starting to get better.

Jensen was on his way over to your apartment to pick you up for dinner. The two of you were having dinner with Gen and Jared. Jensen told you they invited you two to dinner to share some good news and celebrate. You were wearing the dress you and Gen went and picked out. It was dark blue, plunging neckline, and stopped just above mid-thigh. Wearing your hair half up and half down, and light makeup, you checked yourself in the mirror and grabbed your heels.

Jensen knocked and when you opened the door you were speechless. He was wearing his dark blue suit and his white shirt was unbuttoned a little. His hair was styled and he smelled heavenly. Your thighs clenched together when you saw him.

“Wow, you look gorgeous baby. Come here.” He pulled you in hugging you and placed a soft kiss on your lips. “You don’t look half bad yourself there Mr. Ackles.” You giggled. “Come on baby, we don’t want to be late. If I stand here any longer we will be, cause I might just have to take you in that bedroom.” You smiled, looked at him seductively, “Later baby, I have a surprise for you under here anyway.” You winked at him as you started to walk past him.

He grabbed your arm and pulled you flush to his chest, and placed a searing kiss on your lips. “Come on baby, let me see. Please.” You could hear the need in his voice. “Just a quick sneak peek, then we have to go.” You giggled. You slowly pulled the dress up, revealing the dark blue lingerie you were wearing. Jensen growled.

“Okay, Jens, let’s go.” You laughed as you walked out the door. “You’re killing me babe.” Jensen said as he closed the door. “Hey, you asked for it.” He laughed, “Yeah I did, god you're so beautiful baby.”

About twenty minutes later you two were walking into the restaurant. Jensen’s hand on the small of your back, leading you in. When you arrived at the hostess stand you were greeted by a sweet young girl, who obviously knew who Jensen was because she instantly forgot how to talk. You laughed as Jensen took her by the hand and calmed her down. She eventually got her wits about her and started to lead you two to the private room in the back.

As the two of you entered the room you were shocked to see Gen, Jared, their kids, Jensen’s kids, your parents, Jensen’s parents and siblings, Ashley, and Becca. The two of you stepped into the room and your heart leaped in your chest. You looked over at Jensen who was smiling with tears in his eyes. Scanning the room you saw all the people who meant something to both of you. As you turned back to Jensen you gasped.

Jensen was no longer standing next to you. He was down on one knee, a small box in his hand and smiling up at you.

“Baby, I know this past year has had its ups and downs. We’ve weathered storms together, and even stumbled a little. We both decided to put in the work to make this last. I’ve loved you from the moment I saw you, and I fall deeper in love with you every day. I was scared of falling and pushed you away. Then I realized I was more scared of losing you, of not having you in my life. When I think of the future, when I see the future, I see you and me together forever. You’re my true North, my heart, my love, my home. I love you, Y/N, today, tomorrow, forever. Will you make me complete and be my wife?”

Tears were streaming down your face, your makeup running, your hands trembling. You looked into his green eyes, so full of love and desire. You knew he was your forever. In that room filled with all the people you love, in that moment it was just the two of you. You smiled and nodded ‘yes’. Jensen jumped up, pulled you into his arms and kissed you. Finally able to answer him, you whispered into his lips, “Yes baby, I’ll marry you.”

Jensen slid the ring on your finger and hugged you again. Applause and congratulations erupted in the room. You and Jensen were beaming. You sat beside Jensen, looked at your ring, then looked at your fiancé and smiled. Jensen looked over at you, placed a kiss on your hand, “I love you, Y/N.” You smiled softly, “I love you too, Jensen.”

A Shattered Heart pt 2

Jensen x Reader (girlfriend)

Warnings: Angst, language, longing

A/N: Apparently I made Jensen too much of an asshole and now I feel terrible. 🫣 So, here is the 2nd part of the story. This is a work of fiction and does not depict real life. All work is my own and absolutely no disrespect to Jensen or his family. No idea why my head is filled with this story…..it’s brutal. It's gonna get better...I promise. I wrote it fast-like 30 minutes, and didn’t do a great job editing. Please overlook any errors.

Minors DNI 18+

The days without Jensen blurred together. After you left that night you drove to a hotel to stay until you could figure out what to do next. You called your mom for advice and just to hear her voice. “Why don’t you come home for a visit. We’d love to see you, and maybe some time away will help the two of you. Honey, I’m not making excuses for him, but he’s got a lot of people depending on him and that kind of pressure can break even the strongest of people.” “I know mama, but he told me to leave. The things he said were just so cruel. I’m the one person he’s supposed to turn to when things get hard, and he pushed me away.”

Your mom offered you more words of encouragement and by the end of the conversation you had booked a flight home for a few days later. After telling her goodbye you climbed into the bed, looking at your phone hoping for a text from Jensen, but there was nothing. It was almost 6am by this point and you were exhausted. You figured he was asleep or passed out. Laying down and turning your phone on silent, sleep quickly overtook you.

You woke up early in the afternoon. Stretching you glanced at the clock and saw it was almost 2pm. Your eyes were swollen and your head pounding from all the crying. Stumbling out of bed you made your way to get some water and headache medicine.

After taking the medicine you decided a hot shower might help too. You grabbed your clothes, toiletries, and jumped in the shower. After a very long, very hot shower, you were starting to feel a little better.

It had been 3 days at this point since Jensen told you to leave. Three days without his arms around you, without his hot breath on your neck, without his lips on yours and without him saying he loved you. Anytime your phone went off you jumped, thinking it was him, but nothing. It had been 3 days and he hadn’t reached out to you. You tried to keep tabs on him through mutual friends on social media, but you saw nothing.

Your heart ached for any news on how he was doing. Was he just as heartbroken as you were, just as sad, or was he fine with his decision? You took some time off from work to sort everything out, and to fly home for a few days. You packed up and made sure you had everything from the room.

Stepping out into the cool air your breath hitched. You had an Uber drive you to the airport. You boarded your plane, turning off your phone, settling into your seat for the flight home.

*Jensen’s POV*

I woke up with a horrible hangover. The most I remember from last night was the fight with Danneel, drinking a ton of whiskey, and….oh shit! I told Y/N to leave. I jumped out of bed and ran downstairs looking for her. Going room to room praying it was a dream and she was still there. Then a small piece of metal caught my eye, her key. I grabbed my phone and tried to call her, it went straight to voicemail. I tried again, still voicemail. “Fuck!”

I called Jared, “Jared I fucked up! I don’t know how to fix this.” Jensen said in a panicked voice. “Whoah, Jens, slow down. What happened?” “I fucked up. Danneel called me last night, I had just gotten home from filming and we got into a huge fight. When I hung up I took it out on Y/N. Shit, man. She was only trying to help me. I said some really fucked up things, then I…” His voice trailed off. “Jens, then you what?” “I told her to leave. I got drunk and told her to leave. She left. I haven’t heard from her and when I try to call her it goes straight to voicemail. Shit man, I love her. What the hell did I do?!”

Jared took a deep breath, “Give me a second man.” He covered the phone and told Gen what happened, asking her to call you and see if she could get you to come over. She pulled out her phone and the call went straight to voicemail. She shook her head at Jared.

“Jens, do you know where she might be?” Jensen sat in silence for a minute, “No, well, maybe she went home. Like her mother’s house.” “Okay, do you have her mother’s number?” Jared asked. “Yeah, somewhere. I’ll have to find it. Damn I said some horrible things, I know I lost her Jared. I saw how much I broke her before she left and I just fucking sat there. What the fuck is wrong with me?!” “We will figure it out, Jensen. In the meantime you need to figure out why you took all of that out on her. If she decides to come back to you, you have to figure out what triggered you and how to prevent it from happening again.”

Jensen knew why he did it. He was falling for you faster than he expected, and he got scared. Scared that when all the shit was going on with his ex you were the first person he wanted to turn to for help. When he thought about the future and doing things with his kids he saw you there too. He was in deep, so deep he had thought about what marriage would look like with you. He was terrified if he opened up his heart to you, like really opened his heart, you would break it too. Jensen loved you, but he was afraid of another failed marriage.

He knew it was stupid, but people do stupid things when they are scared.

For three days Jensen, Jared and Gen tried to get in touch with you. Nobody could reach you. Jensen was due back on set in a few days and he had no idea how he could go. Jensen searched everywhere for your mom’s number but couldn’t find it. As the days continued to pass without any word from you, Jensen fell deeper into despair.

You sat in your seat on the plane, earbuds in and trying to clear your head. You scrolled through your phone, looking at the pictures of you and Jensen. Thousands of pictures of stolen glances, soft kisses, and laughter. There were pictures of Jensen and his children, candid shots of Jensen you thought he didn’t know you took, but he did. He had several of you too.

Your heart ached for him, but his cruelty played over and over in your head. Frustrated, you tossed your phone in your bag and closed your eyes.

A few hours later you were standing inside the airport waiting for your luggage. Your phone started pinging with notifications once you turned airplane mode off. You shoved it in your pocket as you grabbed your suitcase and walked towards the front.

You ordered an Uber to drive you to your parent’s house. Looking at your phone you noticed you had a ton of text messages and an Instagram notification. Climbing into the Uber you sat back and checked your messages.

Gen: Hey sweetie. Jensen told us what happened. I just wanted to check on you. Reach out when you can. We’re worried about you.

Jared: Hey shortstack. Gen and I are here for you. He’s a fool. Please let us know you’re okay.

Then you saw Jensen’s name. You swallowed hard, checking the messages.

Jensen: Sweetheart I’m so sorry. Please let me know you’re okay.

Jensen: Baby I fucked up. Please call me or text me. I’m worried about you.

Jensen: I know you’re angry and hurt. I don’t blame you. Baby, please let me know you’re okay. Nobody has heard from you.

Jensen: I love you

Jensen: Y/N you didn’t deserve what I said and you didn’t deserve me taking all this out on you. I love you, baby. I know I hurt you and I don’t deserve your forgiveness, but please just let me know you’re okay.

Your breath hitched as you read his messages. He hurt you, broke your heart, but you couldn’t help but feel the need to reach out to him. You stared at your messages trying to figure out what to do. So you decided to send Gen a text first.

You: Hey Gen. I’m okay. I had to get away for a bit. He broke my heart, told me to leave so I did. I can’t be with someone who pushes me away like that. I love him, but I deserve better than that.

Gen: Oh, Y/N. I am so glad you’re okay. I know sweetie. He called Jared. We understand and support you. Just know he regrets what he did. The past three days he’s been trying to find you and reach out to you. For what it’s worth he does love you, he’s just scared.

You: I’m scared too, Gen. I fell for him fast and then he tossed me to the side. I have to come to terms with not being good enough for him, not being what he needed. I don’t know if or when I’ll reach out to him, but please let him know I’m okay. I should be back in Texas in about a week. I know he has to go back to set, so please let him know I’ll have Jared go by the house with me to get the rest of my stuff.

Gen: Oh sweetie, you are good enough for him. He knows what he’s lost. I will tell him you’re okay. When you get back we will figure out your stuff. We love you.

You: Thank you, and I love you guys too.

Sitting your phone down you looked out the car window and saw your parent’s neighborhood come into view. You took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. When the car pulled into your parent’s driveway you saw your mom at the door. Her bright smile is a welcome sight.

Getting out of the car, you grabbed your bags and walked towards your mom. Her arms outstretched to pull you into a hug.

Her arms around you felt like home. You felt safe and loved. The weight of the pain came crashing down again and you sobbed into your mother’s arms. “Shh, it’s okay baby. Let it out. I know, baby.” She whispered into your head as she held you.

As you pulled away, the tears still falling, you let out a shaky breath. “Mama, I still love him. It just hurts so bad. I don’t know how or if I can fix this.”

“Let’s get you inside baby. We will figure it out.” She wrapped her arms around you and walked you inside. Your dad was standing in the living room and when you saw him he pulled you into a hug. “Hey baby girl. It’s good to have you home.” His strong steady voice washes over you. You loved your mom but you were a daddy’s girl. He was the first man to ever hold your heart and he had always been protective of you.

When he found out you were dating Jensen he told him he better not hurt you. Jensen promised him he wouldn’t. “Daddy, I don't know what to do. I still love him so much.” “I know you do, baby. Give it a few days and the two of you should talk. You don’t let him treat you that way. If you go back you tell him he can’t do this to you. You deserve better than that. However, there isn’t ever a perfect relationship. You two have to work at it every single day if you want it to last.” Your dad pulled you tighter. “I know daddy. Thank you.” He kissed the top of your head as you pulled away.

You went to your old bedroom and put your things down. You sat on the bed and pulled out your phone. That’s when you remembered the Instagram post you were tagged in.

Opening Instagram your breath hitched. It was a post from Jensen. It was a picture of the two of you. One you didn’t know he had taken. The two of you were on the couch, snuggled and you had fallen asleep on his chest and he was smiling softly at the camera. It was a sweet picture of both of you.

His caption took your breath away. “My love, my beautiful girl, my home. I’m a fool to let you slip away. I’ll spend the rest of my life, until my last breath trying to make this right. I love you @yourusername. Forever and always.

Tears were streaming down your face. Jensen was usually very private so him making this post about the two of you was incredible. You didn’t know what to say.

You read through the comments and saw so many supportive comments and some calling Jensen out for whatever he did. You chuckled a little, but your heart ached for him.

You decided to like the post. Just a little olive branch to let him know you still cared, still loved him. Even if he was being an asshole.

Jensen’s POV

I was sitting at Gen and Jared’s house. Gen told me she’d heard from Y/N. I wish she’d call me, I miss her voice. The two of them were trying to encourage me but until I was able to talk to her nothing mattered. I needed to tell her how sorry I was. Even if it was too late for us, I needed to make this right. I hated that I made her feel like she wasn’t good enough.

Jared handed me a beer and as Gen got up to check on the kids she squeezed my arm. “It’s going to be okay, Jens. She loves you so much. It’s just going to take some time.”

I nodded and smiled softly. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I glanced at it. It was Instagram. I opened it and saw Y/N had liked my post about us. I gasped. Tears filling my eyes. “Jared, she saw my post. She liked it.” Jared smiled “That’s great Jens. It’s a start.”

“Do you think I should text her?” Jared and Gen looked at each other, “I think you should wait for her to reach out. You’ve let her know you’re ready to talk, so let her make the decision.”

I nodded and hesitantly put my phone down.

Your POV

You showed your mom the Instagram post and asked her opinion. “It seems like there is still a lot of love there, Y/N. I can’t tell you what to do, but if it was me I’d give him a chance to explain and you get a chance to let him know how you feel. If you’re in love with him and he’s in love with you, then you owe it to yourselves to give it another chance.”

You nodded and smiled at her. “Thanks mama. I can always count on you to help me.”

She hugged you and gave you a soft kiss on your forehead.

You bit your lip and pulled out your phone. Taking a deep breath you opened messages.

You: Hey

Jensen: Hey baby

You: Are you busy?

Jensen: No, never too busy for you.

You: Can I call you to talk?

Jensen: I’d love that baby.

You swallowed hard and stepped outside on the porch. Your hand trembling you dialed his number.

Jensen answered almost immediately, “Hey baby. I’m so glad you called.”

Your voice was soft and shaky, “Hey, Jens. We have a lot to talk about.

“Yeah I know we do. It’s so good to hear your voice baby. I’ve missed it, I’ve missed you.”

A tear slipped out from your eyes. “I’ve missed you too, Jens. I have to know why. Why did you make me leave?”

“Baby I’m stupid. There isn’t a good enough excuse or reason for the way I treated you. I’m an asshole. I need you to know I'm so sorry for what I said and did. If I’m being honest I’m scared, Y/N. I had one failed marriage that ended really bad. I was afraid it was going to happen again.”

“But Jensen, we aren’t married. Why would you think you’d have another failed marriage?” “Because I’m in love with you, Y/N. It scares me how quickly I fell in love with you, when I see you I see a marriage, I see our lives together forever, I see home.”

You gasped softly, “Jensen I loved you too, so much. I saw a future with you too, but I didn’t toss you to the side. I deserved better than that. I deserve someone who is my partner, who will turn to me when things get tough, not against me. I deserve someone who doesn’t make me feel like I’m not good enough. Dammit Jensen, I would have married you if you had asked.”

Jensen ran his hands through his hair and sighed heavily, “I know baby. I’m so sorry. Me being scared is not an excuse for the way I treated you. Please come home so I can fix this. I’ll head home right now and meet you there.”

“Jensen, I’m not in Texas. I left. You told me to leave, so I did. Besides you have to be back on set tomorrow so I’m sure you’re leaving soon to catch your flight. It was scheduled for 6pm.”

Jensen’s voice cracked as he tried to hold back his emotions, “I didn’t mean it baby. I didn’t want you to leave. Fuck! Where are you baby?” “Jens, it doesn’t matter. You’re expected on set tomorrow, you have all those people depending on you and I know you don’t want to let them down. Maybe when you get home in a month I’ll come by and we can talk.”

You didn’t want to tell him you were at your parents’ house because you knew he’d be there in a heartbeat.

“Baby I don’t want to wait a month. I want to work on us now. We deserve that, you deserve that. I’ve already called the producers and we’ve pushed back filming. You are more important than any show.”

“Jensen, I can’t ask you to do that. I know how important your career is to you. Please don’t throw it away over me. I’m not worth that. You’ve worked too hard to get to where you are. Please Jensen.”

“Sweetheart, nothing, you hear me, nothing is more important to me than you and my kids. I love you and I’m willing to fight for us. Please tell me where you are and I’ll come to you.”

“I need some time, Jensen. You hurt me deeply. I should be back in Texas by the end of the week, we will talk in person then if you still want to.”

Jensen felt a little pang of sadness. He didn’t want to wait to talk to you face to face. He wanted to hold you in his arms and kiss you again. However, he knew this was his fault. All of this was his doing, so he wanted to let you lead.

“Okay, baby. I understand. When you get back in town, let me know and I can meet you somewhere. I love you, Y/N, and for what it’s worth, I’m sorry.”

“I know you do, Jensen and thank you. I’ll let you know.” “Y/N, before you hang up, can we still text or chat? We can keep it neutral and I promise I won’t pressure you.” “Sure, Jensen, and Jensen, for what it’s worth, I still love you.”

Tears fell from his eyes and his heart clenched in his chest. Now he was determined more than ever to make this right. “I love you too, baby. I’ll talk to you soon, goodbye, darlin’.” “Good bye, Jensen.”

You hung up and the tears fell. Holding the phone to your chest. Your mom watched from the kitchen window and saw the love you still had for him. Her heart ached for you, so she was determined to give you a little push.

She walked into her office and pulled out her phone and called Jensen.

“Hello?” He answered with a questionable tone. “Hey, Jensen. It’s Y/M/N.” “Oh hello, Mrs. Y/L/N. How are you?” “Jensen dear, how many times do I have to tell you to call me Y/M/N?” “Yes, ma’am. I’m sure by now you know I screwed everything up. I want to tell you and Mr. Y/L/N I’m doing everything I can to make it right. I love your daughter so much.”

“I know you do, honey. She loves you too. That’s why I called. She’s here and lord knows she has a stubborn streak. I bet she told you she’d talk to you at the end of the week when she gets back, didn’t she?” Jensen chuckled, “Yes, ma’am she did.” “That sounds like our girl, well how about you fly in for a visit? It’s been too long since I’ve seen you, and I think this is something best dealt with in person.”

“Yes, ma’am. I’ll book the first flight out. I’ll let you know when I’m on my way.” “Okay dear, and Jensen…” “Yes, ma’am?” “You fight like hell to keep her, we really like you.” Your mom chuckled. “I plan to. Thank you Y/M/N, for believing in our relationship and helping me make this right.”

The next morning you woke up to the smell of bacon and pancakes. You stretched and smiled. You and Jensen had talked off and on all night, both of you finally saying good night about 1am. The conversation was light and almost flirty, like when you two first started talking to each other. It made your heart flutter. You were still in love with him, but you were still hurt too.

Getting out of bed you decided to take a quick shower before heading downstairs. Once showered and dressed you walked down the stairs and could smell the breakfast and coffee your mom had made. When you walked into the kitchen you saw a ton of food.

“Dang mom, I don’t eat that much. Surely you didn’t do all this for me?” She laughed, “No honey, your dad is going to eat breakfast with us before he heads out.” You smiled and grabbed a coffee cup and filled it up. Your mom handed you a plate and smiled widely at you and nodded towards the food.

“Thank you mama. I’m starving.” You chuckled as you shoved a piece of bacon in your mouth. As you sat down to start eating you heard the doorbell. Your parents and you shared a look. It was almost 9am, so you weren’t sure who would be over there so early. “I’ll get it.” You said. Standing up and walking towards the door you noticed your parents acting strange.

You looked over your shoulder at them and chuckled as you opened the door. When you turned back towards the door you saw who had rang the bell. Your breath hitched and a lump formed in your throat. You could barely speak, but managed to whisper out, “Jensen.”

“Hey sweetheart.”

The soft glow of the lamp cast long, dancing shadows across the room. Jensen and you had been dating for a few months now, and while there were moments of pure bliss, the weight of his recent divorce often hung heavy in the air. His ex-wife had been particularly cruel during the proceedings, leaving him emotionally scarred.

You’d tried to be there for him, but he would often push you away to deal with things himself. He tried to keep things civil between him and Danneel, for the sake of the kids, but it proved to be a daunting task at times.

After months of back and forth, they finally arrived at a custody agreement. He would get the kids when he wasn’t filming, and for some holidays. She kept the house in Connecticut and he got the one in Austin. Danneel tried to get both, but the judge decided she had gotten enough from him. Between child support, alimony, half the brewery and half the production company, she was practically set for life.

You had absolutely no problem with the child support, but you felt it was ridiculous she received alimony too. Jensen didn’t put up a fight about that. You respected him so much, the only thing he did fight for was his children.

After the divorce was final, you moved in with him, into his Austin home. He told you to make any changes you wanted, because as he put it, “It’s your home too.” So you made some changes here and there, but keeping all of the things that were Jensen and of course his children.

Danneel barely spoke to you, and would often refer to you as a homewrecker, trash, or some other derogatory term she could think of. It pissed Jensen off, because the two of you met after they split up, and you didn’t move in until after the divorce was final.

You tried to pretend it didn’t bother you, but it really did. You fell in love with Jensen when you saw him at a convention, but you didn’t pursue him until after you heard they had split. Well, you really didn’t pursue him, you two just hit it off and got to talking. You both flirted, alcohol was free flowing, and then you kissed. That was it. Days later, after the convention ended, Jensen reached out to you on social media. You thought it was a joke until he sent you a picture and then video called you. After that you were completely smitten by him.

So now here you were months later, living with him and falling deeper in love with him. You hoped he felt the same way about you. The only obstacle was his filming schedule. It was something you weren’t used to yet, and sometimes it caused tension between the two of you.

As Jensen’s marriage started to fall apart he purposely spent more time away from home. He took guest starring roles, did more conventions, and even started some new projects. It became a habit that was hard for him to break.

So now even though your relationship was good, he had commitments he had already made. It’s been an adjustment to say the least. Jensen was off filming again, and you were left alone, again. Your heart ached for him, your arms ached for him. The longer he was gone the more in your head you would get, and that was never a good thing.

After a month-long shooting schedule, Jensen returned home looking haggard and exhausted. you could see the toll it had taken on him. The two of you had spent the evening cuddling on the couch, with you trying to soothe his weary soul. You made his favorite dinner, steak and potatoes, and even baked him a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.

“Thanks sweetheart for dinner and dessert. You didn’t have to go all out for me.” He placed a kiss on your forehead. “Yes I did, you’ve been gone for too long and I wanted to show you how much I missed you. Besides, who can say no to chocolate cake?” You winked at him. The two of you spent the rest of the night snuggled together under the blanket and talking while the tv played softly in the background.

He told you about the latest project he was on, how he’d been called back to guest star in Tracker again. You could see his excitement, but part of you felt a pang of sadness, because that meant more time away from you. You bit your lip to prevent the tears from flowing. You were so proud of him and all his projects, but part of you wanted to be selfish and have him to yourself for a little bit.

Just as you were about to settle in for the night, his phone rang. It was Danneel. You could hear the anger in her voice as she berated him about his absence and how the alimony check was 2 days late. “Fuck, Danneel, it was only 2 damn days. You act like it’s the end of the world. Maybe if you got off your ass and worked it wouldn’t be that big of a deal! I was in Canada and the mail takes longer. Yes, it has to be a check. I want a paper trail to prove I paid it! Bullshit! You would throw me under the bus if you could. You’re just waiting to screw me over!” He ran his hands through his hair in frustration. You sat in silence as you watched the scene unfold in front of you. “No! I already told you I’ll be filming. I can’t keep the kids for spring break. That’s not fair, Danneel. Fine! Do whatever the fuck you want!” He hung up with a growl.

You stepped closer to him and touched his arm, trying to offer some comfort. He shrugged you off, “Not now, Y/N! Fuck!” You flinched at his anger and his words. He’d never spoken to you like that before. It took you by surprise and it hurt. “I’m sorry, Jensen. I was just trying to help.” Your voice came out softer and smaller than you’d ever heard. “Well don’t! You’re not a part of this, you can’t help! Unless you know how I can continue to work and see my kids, while supporting them, my ex and you!” You gasped at his words. “What?! You don’t support me? I work, I make my own money.”

Jensen scoffed, “Yeah right. Your little paycheck, honey I make that in a fucking day!” Tears filled your eyes and you let out an audible sob. Jensen turned and looked at you as you cried. His eyes were full of rage, his jaw tight with anger. You had no idea why he was taking his anger out on you.

He ran his hands through his hair and let out a frustrated growl. “Fuck this shit! I can’t handle my bitch ex wife and now you crying like you are. I’m going out!” He grabbed his jacket and keys and left.

As he stormed out of the house, you crumbled onto the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. His words, his anger playing over and over in your head like a record. Each harsh word, like a punch to the chest. You felt incredibly hurt, so betrayed, and so utterly alone.

You eventually moved off the floor, when the tears refused to fall anymore. Exhaustion overtaking your body, your head pounding from the crying. Hours passed as you laid on the couch, curled in a ball. You checked your phone, hoping for a text or a call from Jensen, but nothing. As the hours ticked on your heart broke more.

Around 4 am you were startled awake by the sound of the front door opening. Jensen came in, drunk. You could smell the whiskey on him. You sat up and looked at him, “Jensen, do you have any idea what time it is?” You asked softly.

“Nope, don’t care either. Why are you still here? I figured you’d be gone by now.” Jensen asked through slurred speech. You bit your lip and swallowed hard, “You don’t mean that Jensen.”

You stood up and walked over to him. He stepped closer to you, saw your red, puffy eyes, “Yes I do, darlin’. I thought I made it clear I don’t want you here anymore. It’s only complicating things with my kids.”

You scoffed as the pain and hurt shot through your body, “Okay, I’ll leave. Just know you’re the one who asked for me to leave, Jensen. I love you.” You walked upstairs without looking back at him. The tears were flowing freely now. Your heart was shattered. You’d given him everything, including your heart, and he just threw it all away.

Walking into your shared bedroom, you looked around at the life you two had created. You grabbed a suitcase and started filling it up with things. You glanced at Jensen’s side of the bed and saw the picture Chris took of the two of you at the convention you met him at. You saw the love in his eyes and in yours.

As you left the bedroom you walked back downstairs and found Jensen sitting on the couch. He glanced up at you and saw the suitcase in your hand. You walked over to the kitchen counter, took your key off the ring and set it down.

Before you walked out the door, you turned around and locked eyes with Jensen. “I love you Jensen, please don’t forget that. I’m sorry I wasn’t good enough for you.” You swear his breath hitched at your words, but you turned so quickly you weren’t sure.

You put your suitcase in your car and climbed in. Putting the car in drive you pulled out of the driveway, looking in the rearview mirror at the life you were now left to mourn.

Rekindled pt 2

Characters: Russell Shaw x Reader

Warnings: Fluff, light smut….nothing too bad….yet 😉

A/N: I haven’t written a Russell fic yet and with him coming back to Tracker I wanted to test it out. Just a quick story about him. Written fast and edited fast. Maybe a few chapters.

All work is my own, used characters from the show Tracker, but this does not follow the story

Minors DNI 18+

You and Russell said your goodbyes, and you promised to text him later with the time and place to meet you and your son. Your heart was still pounding in your chest and you were terrified he was going to hurt you and your son.

You called your mom to get her advice. “Hey mom, do you have a few minutes to chat?” “Yes, honey. Russell is sleeping, so I’m free. Are you okay, you sound upset?” “Um, I’m not sure honestly. I ran into Russell and told him about Jr. He wants to meet him, told me it was up to me and I agreed. I don’t know what to do. I want Jr to know his dad, but on the other hand I’m terrified Russell is going to break our hearts again. I can’t do that to Jr.” “I understand honey, but you have to do what’s best for Jr. If Russell wants to be in his life, you should give him the chance. Even if you set boundaries with the two of you, it would be good for Jr to get to know his father if that’s what Russell really wants.”

The two of you sat in silence for a moment, “Yeah, Russell really wants to be in his life. I just don’t know where it would leave us. I’m still in love with him, mama.” “Oh sweetheart, I know you are. I would say just take it slow. Let him be in Jr’s life, and see where things go. You two are older and it sounds like Russell really wants to be in your lives. I appreciate he’s leaving the decision up to you. That shows maturity.” You sighed because you knew she was right. “Yeah, I just don’t know what to feel. As soon as I saw him all the love and hurt came rushing back. I want what we had, the life we promised each other.”

Your mother took a deep breath, “Honey, you can’t get back what the two of you had. It’s gone, both of you have grown and matured. The two of you have to focus on your son, and building something new. I don’t know what that’s going to look like, only you two can figure that out. However, if you want my opinion it sounds like there is still love there, on both of your parts, the two of you have a lot to work out, but if you both genuinely love each other then you’ll have no problem building something new, stronger than before.” “Thanks, mama. I love you. I’ll be home soon.” “I love you too, baby girl. I’ll see you soon.”

You: Hey, can you meet Jr and I at the park in about an hour?

Russell: Of course I can. Thank you.

You: You’re welcome. He’s napping right now, so he shouldn’t be cranky. 😂

Russell: Well he’s definitely related to me. I tend to get a little cranky. 😁

You: Oh I remember. 😉

Russell: I clearly remember someone being cranky when she hasn’t had her coffee or food. 😜

You: You know what, that’s not very nice. Everyone gets cranky without coffee or food. 🤣

Russell: True, but not like you. Speaking of which, wanna grab dinner tonight? Just the three of us?

You looked at your phone and your heart fluttered. The weight of his question pressing down on you. It was a simple question, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that bubbled in your chest. This wasn’t just dinner. It was the first dinner the three of you would share together as a family.

You: Sure, that sounds great. I know after Jr plays he’s going to be hungry.

Russell: Great! I can’t wait to see you two.

You: I’m looking forward to it.

Russell: I want you to know I really appreciate you letting me meet him. If you’re more comfortable telling him I’m a friend right now, I’m okay with that. I want you to be comfortable with this and I don’t want to overwhelm him.

You stared at your phone. How can he be so sweet?! Most men would be fighting tooth and nail to tell the child he was the father, but not Russell. His only concern is our son’s comfort and mine. Damn Russell, making me fall in love with you all over again.

You: I appreciate that, Russell. You have no idea what that means to me. We will figure it out, I promise. I want him to know who you are. You both deserve that.

Russell: 💚

As you drove home your mind and heart raced. He’d hurt you before, but everything he did was to protect you. How could you be sure he wouldn’t do it again? It wasn’t just you anymore, Jr. was a big part of this now. He was your priority.

Pulling into the driveway you saw your mom and toddler running around playing. When you got out of the car Jr ran to you. “Mommy. I missed you!” His little arms stretched wide. “Oh I missed you too, baby. Were you good for Nana?” He shook his head yes and smiled.

Your mom walked over and pulled you into a hug. “I know everything is going to work out, Y/N.” You nodded. “Hey baby, how about you and I go to the park and then out to dinner. I have someone I want you to meet.” “Yay, park. Nana go too?” He looked at your mother with his big green eyes. Your mom spoke up, “No, Nana is tired so she’s going to stay here. I’ll see you later and you can tell me all about the park and dinner.” Jr shook his head with understanding.

About thirty minutes later you were changed and loading Jr into his carseat. Your mom hugged you, “It’s going to be fine, baby. I truly believe that. Russell seems to be putting both of you first. That’s a great place to start. Whatever you decide, I'll support you.” “Thank you, mama. I’m scared. I’m still in love with him and I know he’s going to be amazing with Jr.” Your mom touched your face, “I know you are, and I know he will be. Just take it slow.” You nodded and climbed in the car.

Driving towards the park Jr was in the back singing and giggling. “Mama, I love you.” You smiled, “I love you too, baby. So much.” He giggled and was swinging his legs. Looking in the mirror at your son, your heart fluttered. Every time you looked at him you saw Russell.

Pulling into the parking lot of the park, you saw Russell standing leaning against his car. You playfully rolled your eyes and smirked. Your toddler was in the backseat squealing with delight, “Park! Park!” You laughed, “Yes baby, we’re here.”

Putting the car in park, you grabbed your bag and opened the backseat. Russell walked towards the car as you got Jr out. “Hey sweetheart.” You heard from behind you. As you pulled your son out you turned and saw Russell standing behind you holding two coffees. You smiled. Jr looked up at Russell and his eyes went wide. “Hey Russell. I see you have coffee.” He smirked, “Yeah, I didn't want you cranky.” He winked at you.

Jr watched the two of you in silence. His big green eyes took in Russell and glanced at you. “Mama, he has my name.” Your breath caught in your throat. Looking at your son and over at Russell you were at a loss of words.

Russell stepped closer, “Well, sounds like you’ve got a pretty good name then. I’m your mama’s friend. I knew her when she was younger. It’s nice to meet you, Russell.” Russell extended his hand to your toddler and your eyes thanked him. He nodded and smiled at you. Jr took his hand and shook it while his other arm clung to your neck.

The three of you walked towards the playground. It was pretty empty with the exception of a family of four. You put your son down and he took off towards the swings. You laughed, “Not too fast baby. I don’t want you to fall.” You looked over at Russell and saw a smile on his face.

When the two of you arrived at the swings, you placed your son in one and started to push him. His giggles filled the air between you three. You took in a breath and let it out, touching Russell’s arm, “Thank you for that. I wasn’t expecting him to pick up on your names that quickly.” Russell smiled, “He’s a smart kid. Must take after his mama, and you’re welcome. I know this is all new. It will work out, we’ll figure it out together.”

After a few minutes on the swing Jr wanted to run around so you pulled him out of the swing and put him down. He started running up and down the equipment while you and Russell watched him.

Russell was laughing and following him around. Your heart filled with love when you saw Jr take Russell’s hand and lead him through the maze of equipment. Pulling out your phone you snapped some pictures of the two of them together.

The sound of Jr and Russell laughing filled the air. Seeing Russell interact with your son made your heart flutter. As the afternoon wore on Jr was getting tired and hungry.

“Alright boys, it’s time to go eat dinner.” You said as Russell scooped Jr up in his arms. Jr threw his arms around Russell’s neck and Russell looked over at you and smiled.

He carried Jr to the car and put him in his car seat. Once he shut the door he turned, looked at you and smiled. “He’s incredible, Y/N. You’ve done an amazing job with him. I never expected to fall in love with him so quickly. Thank you for letting me meet him.” He cupped your face and your heart beat wildly. You looked into his eyes, bit your lip and inched closer to his lips.

“Can I kiss you?” You asked softly. Russell didn’t say a word, he just pulled you close and softly kissed your lips. All of the anger, hurt and pain from the past few years melted away.

The two of you pulled away and stood in silence. “I’ve been wanting to do that again since I saw you earlier.” Russell whispered against your lips.

Giggles from the car pulled your attention away. “Guess we should go feed our son.” You smiled as you looked at Russell. “Yeah, we don’t want him cranky like his mama.” Russell winked at you. You playful slapped his chest.

A few minutes later you were pulling in the parking lot of the local diner. Russell came over to your car and helped get Jr out. He grabbed your hand as he carried Jr into the restaurant. This felt right. It felt like home.

Once the three of you were sitting at the table Jr kept looking over at Russell. He would color on his mat, then look over at Russell. You and Russell shared quick glances, then you asked Jr if he was okay. “Sweetie, are you okay?” Your son looked at you and nodded. “Mama, he looks like me.” He pointed at Russell when he said it. Your breath hitched and a lump formed in your throat.

You took your toddler’s hand and took in a shaky breath. Your eyes flicked up and met Russell’s. “Well, honey, the reason he looks like you and you two have the same name is because he’s your daddy.” Your heart beat faster in your chest while you waited for your son’s response.

Jr looked at you and then over at Russell.

“You’re my daddy?” His sweet soft voice replied. Russell looked at him with so much love in his eyes and nodded yes. A hush fell over the table. Then your son squealed with delight, clapping his hands and swinging his legs. He reached for Russell, who stood and pulled him out of the high chair into his arms. Your heart leaped in your chest as Russell held your son in his arms.

When the food arrived the three of you ate and talked. As the night wore on, Jr was getting sleepier. You pulled him out of the high chair and laid him beside you in the booth. You and Russell continued talking about the past few years. He asked about the pregnancy, and how the birth went. You told him your mom was with you every step of the way and was at the hospital when he was born.

His hands fell softly on yours and held them on top of the table. You noticed the diner was starting to clear out. “Well we better get this little guy home, and let them close up.” You said, glancing at the sleeping toddler beside you.

Russell paid the bill and carried Jr to the car. Your son woke up briefly to see Russell carrying him and he snuggled into his chest more. Russell smiled softly at the toddler in his arms. He never knew love could feel like this. So pure, real and complete.

Russell put your son in the car and carefully closed the door. “I’ll follow you home, to help you get him inside if you don’t mind.” You touched his chest, “I don’t mind at all.”

The two of you drove towards your house. The soft glow of the house cast shadows on the driveway. Putting the car in park you got out and grabbed your bag. Russell walked over and took his son in his arms. You could get used to seeing him carrying your son. You walked up to the door and it swung open. Your mom was standing there with a grin on her face when she saw Russell carrying his son.

“His room is the second room on the right, at the top of the stairs.” Russell nodded and started to walk up the stairs. You followed behind him, glancing at your mom who was still grinning. Once in his room, you took off his shoes and pulled his blanket up to his chin. He turned and looked at the two of you sleepily, “Night mama.” “Night baby.” You placed a soft kiss on his forehead. “Night daddy.” You gasped softly. Russell smiled and leaned down, placing a kiss to the top of Jr’s head, “Night buddy. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

The two of you walked out of his room and you closed his door. Russell let out the breath he was holding and you noticed his eyes were filled with love and tears. You touched his biceps, “Russell, are you okay?” He ran his fingers through his hair, “No I’m not. I can’t believe I was stupid enough to let you walk away. I’ve missed 3 years of his life, of a life with you, I missed your pregnancy and you bringing our son into this world. I don’t expect you to forgive me, hell I know I don’t deserve it.”

You cupped his face, “Russell, I do forgive you. You’re here now. That’s all that matters. That little boy in there loves you so much already. There is still so much you haven’t missed.”

His eyes softened and he cupped your face. His lips crashed against yours in a needy, emotional kiss. As he pulled back he rubbed his thumb over your lips, “God I missed you. I love you so much, Y/N.” “I love you too, Russell. We have a lot to talk about, but for now all that matters is our son.”

He nodded and the two of you walked downstairs together. Your mom saw you two and walked over to Russell. “It’s good to see you Russell. I guess it came as quite a shock to find out you had a son.” “It’s good to see you too, Ms Y/L/N, and yes ma’am it was, but it’s something I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to be worthy of.”

She hugged him and he leaned down and hugged her. She whispered in his ear “She’s missed you more than she’ll admit and she’s still deeply in love with you. Don’t screw it up or you’ll have to answer to me.” He smiled at her, “I’m deeply in love with her too, and I wouldn’t dream of it. Her and Jr are it for me.”

Your mother told both of you good night and hugged you, then went upstairs.

As a quietness fell over the room you and Russell sat on the couch. The two of you snuggled together on the couch as a movie played on the tv. Russell shared stories about his life and you showed him pictures of your son. You even showed him some of you pregnant. His fingers traced the photo and he sighed.

You touched his hand softly. “It’s okay. I had mama. I wasn’t alone, we weren’t alone.” “I know, but it’s still hard. I’m a fool to have let you walk away. I pushed you away and left you alone.”

You’re not sure what came over you but you got up, put the photo album down and straddled his lap. Cupping his face in your hands, “Russell Shaw, you stop that right now! You’re an incredible man and I know you’re going to be an incredible father to our son. I don’t care what happened before. It’s done and we can’t change it. All we can do is make a better future. If you’re truly sorry then don’t leave us, don’t leave him. Even if you don’t want to be with me, be there for him. Help me raise him to be an incredible man like his father. I love you, Russell Shaw. Now and forever.” You pulled him into a kiss and his hands ran up your spine and to your hair. Your body was on fire.

You felt his arousal through his jeans. He deepened the kiss and you were melting into his arms. As things started to heat up you felt the need to be in his arms again. “Russell, I need you.” You moaned and his hands slid under your shirt, cupping your breasts. Your hips moved down, pulling a groan from his mouth.

Your heart was pounding in your chest and you were ready for him to take you right there on the couch. Russell pulled away, “Baby as much as I want this, I think we should take it slow. I don’t want to screw this up again. You mean too much to me. Jr means too much to me.” Your heart ached for him, your body ached for him, but you knew he was right.

You nodded and started to climb off of him. He grabbed your hand before you got up, “Y/N wait,” You looked at him and placed a soft kiss on his lips. “It’s okay Russell, you’re right. We really should take this slow. This isn’t just about us anymore, our son is the priority.” “He is, but so are we. I want to rebuild our relationship, one that’s stronger than before. One that is built on love and strength, not just physical attraction, but believe me I am still very attracted to you.”

You chuckled softly, “I know you are.”

Russell stood up and wrapped you in his strong arms. “Thank you for today, and thank you for letting me meet him. I still can’t believe he’s mine, ours.” “Don’t make me regret it, Russell, please.” He cupped your face, “Sweetheart, I promise I won’t.”

The two of you walked to the door and he stopped, pulled you into his arms and kissed you again. “Good night, sweetheart. I’ll call you in the morning if that’s okay.” “That’s more than okay. I know a little boy who would love it actually.” “Well then I guess I better come by for breakfast. I’ll bring the doughnuts.” Russell laughed.

You chuckled, “Russell, please don’t load our son up with sugar.” “Aww come on, let me bring him a doughnut, I’ll bring you coffee.” He fluttered his eyes at you and you smirked. “Fine, but you get to deal with the sugar high and crash.” Russell laughed, “Deal. Sounds like a win win. I get to bring him doughnuts and spend the day with both of you.” He kissed you one last time and winked as he stepped off the porch.

“Good night, Russell. Be careful and I’ll see you in the morning.” He turned as he got to the bottom step, “Good night, Y/N. See you in the morning, sweet dreams darlin’.”

You stood on the porch watching him walk to his car and get in. Watching him drive away your heart was full of so much love. You bit your lip with a smile on your face. For the first time in 3 years you felt like things were starting to fall into place. You were equal parts scared and excited, and the only thing you were sure of was how much love was still between you and Russell.

Russell had been a whirlwind, a force of nature that swept you off your feet. You’d met in high school, he was about 2 years older, but your shared love of literature sparked a connection that ignited into a wildfire. Your days were filled with stolen glances, whispered secrets, and the intoxicating thrill of young love.

You spoke of a future together, of building a life filled with laughter, love, children, and shared dreams. And then, one night, under the soft glow of the moon, your love deepened in a way that forever changed you. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated intimacy that solidified your bond.

But fate had other plans. A cruel twist of destiny tore you apart when Russell's father passed away unexpectedly. He disappeared, leaving behind a gaping hole in your heart and a shattered future. You mourned the loss of the man you loved and the life you’d envisioned together.

Years passed, and you had learned to live with the pain. Then one night unexpectedly Russell came back into town. He was older, life had been hard on him, and his family was still ripped apart from that cruel night years ago.

You were working at the local bar, working your way through college and trying to make a better life for yourself. Who would have thought you, a straight A, honor student wouldn’t go to college right after high school. Like Russell, fate had other plans for you. After Russell left, your life spiraled. Your parents split, and then your mom got sick and couldn’t work. With Russell gone, you had nobody to turn to. So while your friends were going to college, you worked full time to help support the household.

Now that your mom was better, you were able to work and go to school. So here you were, thirty something, waiting tables in the local bar for a measly paycheck and tips. As you cleared a table you heard someone call your name from behind you. “Hey there sweetheart.” That deep, smooth voice sent a shiver down your spine.

Turning and looking in the direction of the voice, you were met with the green eyes you had fallen in love with all those years ago. “Russell, it’s good to see you. You’re looking good.” You offered him a soft smile. Russell smirked, looked you up and down, “So are you darlin’.”

You blushed, “What can I get for you?” You asked him as he took a seat. “I’ll have a whiskey.” You nodded and walked towards the bar. You bit your lip as you glanced back at Russell. His eyes were locked onto you.

When the bartender handed you the drink, you walked it over and sat it down. “Anything else?” You asked as your heart thumped widely in your chest. Russell’s tongue darted out, licking his bottom lip, “Maybe your number, so we can catch up.” Your breath hitched. You couldn’t fall for this man again, knowing he wasn’t staying in town. “I’ll think about it.” You said as you started to walk away. Russell gently grabbed your arm, “Sweetheart, I need to talk to you. I need to explain.” “No you don’t Russell, I get it. After your dad died it was easier to leave than to stay and face the pain. It’s okay, really.” Russell ran his hands through his hair and let out a frustrated sigh. “Y/N, I want to talk to you, you deserve an explanation. I’ve hated how I left you. I was in love with you, and then dad died and mom told me to leave.”

Your heart ached for him, for the love you two shared. You didn’t know his mother told him to leave. Maybe you should give him a chance to explain. Taking a deep breath, you pulled out your pad of paper and a pen, jotting down your number, you slid it to him. “I get off at 10. Call me and I’ll meet you somewhere.” Russell took the paper and nodded. As you turned to walk away he called your name, “Y/N, I want you to know I never stopped loving you.”

You nodded and turned away quickly before he saw the tears that filled your eyes. Running to the back, the tears fell fast and heavy. Your heart was torn between the love you shared and the hurt that filled you when he left. Your co-worker Adam came in the back and saw you crying. “Hey, Y/N, are you okay?” You wiped your eyes and face, “Yeah. I’m okay. Just some old baggage I guess.” He nodded and looked at you with concern in his eyes, but he let it go.

A few hours later as your shift was coming to an end, you noticed Russell still hadn’t left the bar. You were clearing tables and wiping them off. You approached his table, “You ready to settle your check? I’m about to leave.” He nodded, and handed you a $100 bill. “I’ll be right back.” You went to pay his tab, walking back to his table with the change you handed it to him. Your hand brushing against his. A shiver went through your body. He smirked and you turned red. “Well, Y/N, I’ll talk to you soon. How about I call you at 11?” You nodded, “Sure, that will give me plenty of time to head home, shower and change.” He nodded and you walked away.

You noticed he had left the bar, and when you walked over to his table to clear it you saw his change, almost $60 on the table, with a note. Just a little tip for the cutest girl in the bar. -R You smiled and your heart fluttered.

After your shift you went home, showered and changed. At exactly 11pm, your phone rang and it was Russell. “Hey Y/N. I told you I'd call at 11.” “You’re very punctual, Russell.” You laughed. “Can we meet, Y/N? I really want to talk to you face to face.” You bit your lip, part of you was terrified of meeting him in person, but another part of you was screaming to be back in his arms. “Sure, where?” You asked with a shaky voice. “Our spot” Russell replied softly.

Your mind drifted back to the night you and Russell made love under the stars. He called it your spot, saying it would always be your spot. He’d carved yours and his initials into the tree that stood guard over the two of you. “Sure, I’ll be there in about 5 minutes. See you soon, Russell.” “See you soon, Y/N.”

Hanging up, you grabbed your jacket and purse. Looking in the mirror before leaving you felt the same butterflies you had all those years ago. You smiled, looking at yourself in the mirror. Seeing the young girl behind the tired eyes looking back at you.

About 5 minutes later you were pulling up to the lake. You noticed Russell standing, leaning against his gorgeous car. The top was up, he was standing with his arms folded over his chest and his feet crossed at the ankles. You bit your lip, god this man was gorgeous. Knowing you were in trouble, because you were still deeply in love with him.

He smiled and pushed off his car as you put yours in park, “Hey Y/N. I’m glad you could make it.” He pulled you into his arms and hugged you. Inhaling deeply, he smelled heavenly, and like home. His arms felt like home, he was your home.

“Y/N, I have so much I want to say to you. I just don’t know where to begin.” You touched his chest softly and looked into his eyes, “Just start at the beginning. Why did you leave me?” Russell took a deep breath, “My mother told me to leave after her and I got into a fight that night. There’s a lot of things that happened with my parents that I didn't understand until recently. They were doing some really shady things, illegal things. That’s why dad was paranoid and had us living off the grid. I ran into a guy recently and got my hands on some files. I think my dad was murdered and I believe my mom knows who did it. I’ve reached out to Colter, and he’s supposed to meet me here in a few days. I came in early because I wanted to see you. I wanted to let you know I never stopped loving you, Y/N. I wanted that life we talked about.” Your breath hitched, “Russell, I don’t know what to say. I wanted that life too. I guess life, fate had other plans for us. You’ve moved on and so have I.”

Russell gasped softly, “I see.” His eyes filled with sadness. Your heart clenched. Being with him, in that spot. The spot where you both gave so much of yourselves to each other was becoming overwhelming. “Russell, I don’t know what to say.” You touched his face softly and he leaned into your touch. “Y/N, I’m so sorry. I never should have left you.”

“Russell, you didn’t have a choice. I understand.” He cupped your face just as the rain started to fall from the sky. He leaned in and hesitated. Stopping, to give you the chance to pull away. You leaned into him, your lips ghosting over his. The kiss was soft at first. Your lips trembled against his.

As the rain fell harder, Russell slid his hands in your hair and pulled you further into the kiss. Your tongues dancing and fighting for dominance. You moaned into his mouth and he smirked against yours. All these years, the love was still there. The two of you pulled away, panting and gasping for air.

Your clothes soaked from the rain. Russell pulled you flush to his body. The warmth of his embrace was a stark contrast to the chill from the rain. He leaned to your ear, “Let’s get out of here.” You nodded and he pulled you by your hand to his car. Getting into the car, Russell started it and headed towards his hotel room.

When he pulled up, the neon No Vacancy sign was casting a red glow over the car. You looked over at him, “Russell, what are we doing here?” “Just talking. Trying to bury the past, Y/N. I’m not trying to pressure you into anything.”

You took a shaky breath in and let it out, “What if I want you to invite me in?” Russell turned and looked at you, “Then I’d ask you in.” You smiled softly and touched his arm, “I’d like that.”

Russell turned off the car, got out and walked to your side. He opened the door and led you inside his room.

Once inside he closed the door with his foot, locked it and took you in his arms. The heat between the two of you was undeniable. As the wet clothes you were wearing were shed, whispers and confessions of love were shared. The two of you tumbled into the bed and tangled your bodies with the sheets.

By the end of the night, the two of you were breathless and fully satisfied. You laid in Russell’s arms as he held you tightly. “I love you, Y/N. I’m so sorry I left you.” “I know you are, Russell. I love you too.” He pulled you closer and kissed your head, “Come on sweetheart, let’s get some sleep.” You drifted off to sleep in his arms.

The next few days you two spent making up for lost time and being back in each other’s arms. You never stopped loving him. After his meeting with Colter, you felt something shift between you. He seemed distant and angry. You tried to get him to talk to you, to open up to you.

“Russell, please talk to me. What happened with Colter?” “Nothing! Don’t worry about my families, troubles.” He snapped, catching you off guard. Tears filled your eyes. “I think you should leave, Y/N. This isn’t going to go where you think it will.” You gasped and quietly looked at him, grabbing your bag and stepped into the crisp air. Russell sat on the bed of his hotel room and watched you walk out. Everything in his body was screaming at him to go after you, but he just sat there.

As you climbed in your car, you sat there and sobbed. Your heart breaking all over again. How could you be so stupid to think he would stay again. Just a means to an end, to help him pass the time until he met with his brother. You hit the steering wheel, and screamed. Fuck you Russell! You selfish bastard.

 *Time Jump 3 years*

You’d built a new life after graduating with your degree, but a part of you remained forever tied to the man who had stolen your heart and swept you off your feet again 3 years ago. Partly because of the child your passionate nights together had created. A son, who looked just like his father, and was a constant reminder of the joy and pain left in Russell’s absence.

Then, one day, Russell returned. You saw him across the street, his presence sending a jolt of recognition through you. As he approached, memories flooded back. The way he used to laugh, his infectious smile, the softness in his eyes. You realized that despite the years, the love you felt for him had never truly faded. And as he looked at you, you could see the same longing in his eyes. Your heart was torn between the love you still felt and the hurt left in his wake.

“Hey sweetheart.” His voice is deep and smooth like whiskey. “Hey, Russell.” You replied, trying to steady the tremble in your voice. He stepped closer to you, “Can I hug you?” He asked. You bit your lip nervously, and shook your head yes. He pulled you flush to his chest and his strong arms wrapped around you. Sending your mind reeling and your heart racing.

When he let you go, he looked into your eyes, “You’re still as beautiful as I remember.” “Thank you, Russell. How have you been?” You asked him. “I’ve been okay. Just doing some private security, I’m helping Colter on a case. What about you? Are you married, have any kids?”

You bit your lip and looked up into his green eyes, “No, I’m not married, but I do have a son. He’s almost 3.”

“Wow, sweetheart, 3?” Russell asked with wide eyes. Then it was like a moment of clarity washed over him. His green eyes meet yours. Tears filled your eyes. You hadn’t told him or even Colter that you were pregnant with Russell’s baby.

You couldn’t tell him. You couldn’t risk him breaking your heart or your son’s heart. When you found out you were pregnant about a month after he left you weighed your options. You weren’t sure you could finish school and have a baby, but your mother offered to help so you could.

You had your son and finished your degree, now you were working at your dream job, had a place of your own and an amazing son.

You fidgeted with your hands and shifted. Looking back into his eyes, you saw they were full of questions. Taking a shaky breath you decided to tell him.

“Russell, he’s yours.” Russell’s eyes went wide, “What? Why didn’t you tell me? I would have come back for you, for both of you.” “Would you have, really? I clearly remember you telling me this wasn’t going to go the way I thought it would. I thought we would be together, have children together. I guess those few nights we spent together was just a means to an end for you until Colter came to town. You so easily walked away from me, threw me away. Why would I put my son through that?! He deserves so much better than that!”

Your chest was heaving and tears were streaming down your face. Russell’s eyes softened and flashed with a mixture of embarrassment and regret. He stepped closer to you and pulled you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you. “I’m so sorry, baby. I didn’t mean to hurt you, again. After my meeting with Colter, I got scared. I didn’t want to pull you into this shit. It’s crazy and complicated. Fuck! I have been in love with you since we were teenagers. I never married because no one ever compared to you. You have always and will always be the love of my life, Y/N.”

Without warning he placed a soft kiss on your lips while he cupped your face. You moaned into his mouth. As the two of you pulled apart, he wiped the tears that stained your face. “Russell, I’m scared. I don’t want him to be hurt. He would love to meet you. I’ve always told him his daddy was away helping people and one day he’d come home. I don’t want you to come into his life, into my life again and break our hearts. I can’t go through that again, and he shouldn’t have to.”

Russell nodded, “I know. All I can say is if you let me into your lives, I promise I won’t leave you again. I love you, and I want to meet our son. It’s your choice. I’ll wait for you to make the decision, text me when you decide. Either way, I’m going to help you support him. Can I at least see a picture of him?”

You nodded and pulled out your phone showing Russell a picture of the spitting image of himself, sandy brown hair, big green eyes, dimples and a mischievous grin. Russell smiled softly and looked at you, “He looks just like me. What’s his name?” You chuckled softly, “Russell Jr., I wanted him to have your name and yes he looks just like you. He’s definitely wrapped around my finger for sure.”

Russell couldn’t take his eyes off the photo. The photo of your son, of his son. He’d always dreamed of having children with you, but seeing your son took his breath away.

He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed heavily. “I’m so sorry, Y/N. Sorry I made you leave and that I left you alone in all of this. I can’t imagine what you went through to have him and finish school.” He stepped up to you and took you in his arms again, “I promise you’ll never have to do anything alone again. No matter what you decide, I’ll always be there for you and our son. I love you.”

You swallowed hard, “I still love you too, Russell. I never stopped. Please don’t make me regret this, but I’d love for you to meet our son.” Russell stepped closer, face inches from your lips. “When?” Russell asked softly as his hot breath ghosted your lips. “What about tonight?” You replied as you leaned closer to him. “I’d love that.” He said as he kissed your lips. You knew right then your heart still belonged to Russell, and his heart belonged to you.

Oh and when he brushed my hair to the side I thought I was going to melt in his arms. I’ll post more when I get home. I’ll leave you with this amazing photo of this gorgeous human and me.

Me: where do you want my hands?

A Husband's Return

Characters: Jensen x Reader (wife)

Warnings: mention of sickness, fluff

A/N: Just a short story inspired by an idea from @cheekygirl2309. I hope I do your idea justice. Jensen is married to the reader in this story. No disrespect to him or his family, this is a work of fiction.

All work is my own, do not take it or copy it without permission.

The house was eerily quiet. A stark contrast to the usual cacophony of laughter, the clinking of dishes, or Jensen's booming voice belting out a tune. You missed the familiar rhythm of your life, the warmth of his presence. Now, the only sound was the soft ticking of the clock and the distant hum of the refrigerator.

Your body ached, a heavy weight pressing down on you. The doctor had warned you it was a particularly virulent strain of the flu, but the reality of it was far more debilitating than you had anticipated. Working around children, you tend to get sick around this time of year, and this year was no different.

You longed for Jensen's comforting arms, his strong hands to soothe your pain. But he was thousands of miles away, filming his latest project. He was amazing when you weren't feeling well. Jensen would make sure you were as comfortable as could be, and he would bring you the banana popsicles you’d loved as a child.

You loved him so much, but when you were sick and he took care of you, you got to see a side of Jensen not many people did. Sure he cared about the people he loved, but when he was taking care of you while you were sick or hurt, you saw a man who would give anything to take the pain or sickness away. A man who would sit up all night to make sure your fever breaks, a man who would hold your hair back while you’re vomiting, and then help you up to wash your face and brush your teeth. He was an amazing husband and an incredible caregiver.

With a heavy heart, you tried to call him, your voice barely a whisper. You thought just hearing his voice would offer some comfort, even if he couldn’t be at home. The phone rang and rang, but all you got was the familiar beep of voicemail. “Hey Jens, I just needed to hear your voice. I have a really bad flu. I miss you and I love you.” Tears welled up in your eyes as you hung up. You felt so alone, so helpless.

Desperate for comfort, you pulled on one of Jensen's shirts. The familiar scent of him enveloped you, a comforting balm for your weary soul. You curled up on your shared bed, the soft, worn sheets a familiar touch. As the hours passed, the pain intensified. None of the medicine seemed to help lower your fever or take away some of the pain. You felt hopeless. You missed Jensen more than you ever thought possible.

Just as you were about to give up hope, you heard the front door creak open. A wave of relief washed over you as you heard his footsteps. He burst into the room, his face etched with worry.

"Y/N?" he called out, his voice filled with concern.

You looked up, your eyes wide with tears. Jensen rushed to your side, his arms enveloping you. A small smile spread on his lips as he saw you were wearing one of his shirts.

You clung to him tightly, your sobs muffled against his chest. He held you, stroking your hair, whispering words of comfort. “Shhh, baby. I’m here. I’m so sorry I couldn’t get here sooner.” “Jens, it hurts so much. I can’t make it stop.”

Jensen called the doctor and told them what was going on. The doctor called in some medication to help with the pain, and told Jensen to keep an eye on your fever. If it got too high he wanted Jensen to bring you to the hospital. “Keep her hydrated, and give her the medicine. It will make her sleepy, but she should be resting anyway.” Jensen thanked the doctor and hung up.

“Baby, the doctor is sending in a prescription. It should be ready soon. I’m going to go grab it, and some things for you. I’ll be back as soon as I can. I love you, rest while I’m gone.

He placed a soft kiss on your forehead and left. Leaving you laying in the bed waiting for him to come back home.

You had managed to doze off a little and before you knew it Jensen was back home. “Y/N, honey, wake up. Let’s get this medicine in you so you can rest better. You sat up and took the pills and the drink. Downing both, you handed the glass back to Jensen. “Thank you baby,” you said weakly. Jensen nodded and sat the cup down.

He kicked off his shoes, and pulled off his shirt, sliding in bed with you. He pulled you close to his chest and you nestled against him.

Slowly, the pain began to subside. In the warmth of his embrace, you found solace. You knew you would be okay, as long as you had Jensen by your side, and he had you.
