Excited about revealing some of John’s backstory/childhood in SRS.
“Fuck you, John. I didn’t think you could disappoint me anymore than you already have.”
How Papa Winchester is looking post-Hell (no buzzcut like in the show) Chapters 122+.
Who do you think is more like John? Sam or Dean? Or do you think they equally exhibit some of his best and worst qualities?
Hmm, that's tough. I think the boys are both similar to John in personality, honestly. They both have crazy tempers (Sam is more in control of his for the most part), they're both very stubborn like their dad and savvy/smart like their dad. I think Dean is the more surface-level similar to John with the rough personality, the domineering crap, etc etc. Sam makes me think of young!John Winchester, before life and Mary's death etc broke him.
just waiting for the moment when Cas pulls a Castiel Angel of The Lord infront of John (cuz someone pissed him off) and Alex is all yup, that would be my husband
What if it’s a doofy moment though
“Eggs… so funny and slimy…”
“…the fuck is with this guy?”
“Yup, that would be my husband!”
That picture! The one of Alex and John! Thats going to happen isn't it! OMG!!!!!
Oh you mean this one?
I predict Crowley's going to have Alex's torturer look just like John
I just had a weird dream in which Alex gets into a fight and the other person says to her, "Where'd you learn to fight, Kid?" And she just responds with, "My Father wanted 3 boys. He got 2 and a Freak. " This right here is probably why John likes Adam and sees him more as his third child than Alex.
Damnnnn.
Headcanon where Alex 'asks' John to braid her hair since she doesn't know how. John's like, go away Alex and goes back to researching stuff. Then, she goes to Dean, and he's like I'll try. He ends up failing, but Alex loves it and yeah. . .
Waaah! Even more painful if you remember how in Chapter 58 Alex braids her hair and recalls how Dean taught her how after learning from a girlfriend when he was a teen ;____;
At first I pictured Alex like Tatiana Maslany. Idk. do u think she looks like a winchester sib?
Soooorta I guess… idk I’m stuck on Astrid because she looks very similar to Jeffrey Dean Morgan to me.
John coming back would be downright hilarous like Dean - had a baby with a witch, Sam - gf is a librarian and Alex -married to a fucking angel
John: *facepalms for the rest of time*
So I started to watch Supernatural from the beginning again. And one of the think that still gets me is Sam's and Dean's dad. I would love if Alex and her dad had a real heart to heart were they really did have time to talk and them just hug it out. I know they had that moment in the phone booth, but it just seems like they needed more. Because even though their dad had issues and was far from perfect, he did love his kids and would do anything for them in the end.
I want to say he would do anything for them, too, but what they really needed was for him to stop hunting and man up and be a father first and leave the revenge quest for later (when they were grown) or for never. But he didn't. He brought them on the road, he left them constantly in danger, he put Dean in his shoes and expected his son to parent. That is so beyond fucked up and sad but John excused his actions because he felt justified in seeking revenge (that, by the way, did not bring back his dead wife—all it did was scar his kids and you know he knew the effect his lifestyle had on them). So, no. He wouldn't do "anything" for them. He wouldn't let go of his obsession and his addiction to give them stability and a home. He wouldn't take a good long look at what he was doing and see how destructive and unhealthy it was to drag children through that. He made a choice every single day to let his kids suffer emotionally and mentally so that he could try and fulfill his own need for revenge. It hurts, but it's the truth—what he put those kids through is appalling and heartbreaking. Every parent out there makes mistakes big and small but John really royally screwed up and what he did in the end doesn't excuse all the years that led up to his final end. Just my two cents!
listen, son. your dumb night light just makes it easier for the monsters to find you
You mentioned once that John was still in Hell. Is that your way of punishing him for how he treated his kids?
He went there because he sold his soul and never escaped or was freed... his soul got sucked back down there after the events of season two. I don't think John is a villain or should be eternally punished... he was a human man who dealt with his grief poorly and was too proud to say "I shouldn't parent these kids." It's so sad :(
