Costuming and outfits are extremely important on this show. There are a lot of subtexts that this show shows through clothing. For example, whether Cas is himself or not is often shown by whether he is wearing his trademark trench coat or not. Here we are presented with pictures of Jensen on set filming the supernatural finale and he is wearing a completely different outfit from something Dean would wear. Anyone who has been following recent spoilers knows that Jensen will be playing another character other than Dean later this season. This is our first look at that character. 

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that this is NOT Michael!Dean. If Dean says yes to Michael he would be saying yes to OUR Michael, not the AU version. Our Michael never wore an outfit like this. Yes, it still could be Michael!Dean but like I said clothing is very important on this show. If this was Micahel!Dean they would want us to call to mind Michael from season 5 in some way, Instead, we get a very different out from anything Michael wore during season 5. That is why I believe this is a different character entirely. 

We also know from spoilers that the character that Jensen will be playing is not a new character but one we may not have seen in a while. This is why the Michael!Dean theory is SO popular because Michael fits that description perfectly. But then we are presented with this outfit. I really don’t think this is Michael!Dean but if I were to speculate just based on this outfit it really reminds me of the sort of things the horsemen from season 5 wore. maybe Dean says yes to one of them or there is always the fact the Jensen is seen here with a TRENCH COAT!!!
