Tommy with his legs in the air, getting fucked so good and so right by his man and Evan’s getting close, so close he’s just babbling a string of yesyesyesTommyYesTommytommy and they lock eyes and Tommy says “say his name too” and Buck’s hips barely falter as he groans out a long, broken “Eddie” and spills inside Tommy.
What do you like about BuddieTommy, and what type of dynamics do you like them to have when you're reading them? (Like do you prefer pre-established buddie with added new guy tommy, or tommy orchestrating being the meat in that sandwich without buck or Eddie knowing that they are nuts about each other yet, etc.)
okay as a reader i like anything so long as it's good.
(in a more philosophical sense, what i like about buddietommy is that i think buck and eddie are in love and i think buck and tommy are adorable and i think it's so juicy that eddie and tommy just clicked and also, i'm going to be honest, i think lou ferrigno jr is, like, devastatingly handsome.)
as a writer, i have two buddietommy routes that i think would be fun to explore: route 1 - sexy tragedy! I think this one is plausible and fun. basically i think you'd do established bucktommy and add eddie to the mix on a theoretically purely sexual basis, and then have it get fucking MESSY. buck is in love with eddie but he doesn't know it. he's also in love with tommy, but it's a much younger love; it can't bear nearly as much weight. eddie's in love with buck and he knows it but won't admit it, maybe not even to himself. tommy's in love with buck, but in the same new green-branch kind of way that buck is in love with him. they are all stupidly attracted to each other. they have sex once or many times, and it absolutely destroys them all. no one leaves that threesome without feeling extreme emotional abandonment. if i'm feeling nice, i only break tommy's heart and buck's heart a little bit and i go for endgame buddie. if i'm feeling not nice, i break everybody's heart. route 2 - okay but what if we made it work? i think in order to make it work, what would 100% have to happen is established bucktommy + eddie more consciously realizes that he's 1) attracted to tommy, and 2) in love with buck, and then you'd need to put tommy and eddie into extremis together. like, the two of them have to survive a harrowing near-death experience in the mountains together. or buck almost dies again and the two of them have to deal with losing him. or or or i don't know, it's the zombie apocalypse and buck is with chris but they can't find them and eddie and tommy have to fight the hordes of zombies for weeks to try and get back to the people they love or whatever. anyway you do something to try and hotwire something like the same connection buck and tommy already have, and you keep buck and eddie separated for a solid 70% of the story to stop them from totally overwhelming the love story with their history, and then you have the dynamic totally shifted by the time all three of them come back together. i think maybe then i could make it work.
I think you were talking in the tags a while ago about writing a buddietommy threesome that would make you cry?? So I'm currently holding out for that. I love threesomes that are full of Difficult Emotions (and possibly ends up making everything worse??), so! If you feel inspired, I will be there with chin in hands!!
aw, thank you!!! my feelings about a buddietommy threesome is that it would be really hot and it would be, like, instantly emotionally brutal for all three of them.
tommy's in that threesome having a great time at first, and then he catches the raw longing on eddie's face and the way Buck's eyes are getting shiny and his fingers are clenching in the blankets, and he's like oh fuck, did i just burn down my relationship, or did buck and eddie just burn down their friendship? either way, it's gonna feel really good and then it's gonna feel REALLY bad. the like, roller coaster feeling of knowing there's going to be a great high and then a terrible crash.
buck's in that threesome like 'i love tommy and i love eddie and i love fucking them both so much. maybe i could have two boyfriends,' but it's a hope so doomed and pathetic that he can't even bring himself to look directly at it. (it's doomed and pathetic because lol that could never work, but also he's ACTIVELY JEALOUS of eddie and tommy touching each other even as he's getting off on it.) the way he wants to hold tommy's hand and kiss eddie romantically, the way he wants to peel tommy's hand off eddie's hip and put it on buck's hip, the way he wants to whisper to eddie that he loves him. eddie's in that threesome full of self-loathing and a million self-imposed rules. he's not going to kiss buck. he's not going to sleep on the bed. he's not going to stay for breakfast. he's not going to call buck sweetheart. he's not going to mention it again. also fully heartbroken and pining and believing that this one night with buck is all he'll ever get to have. basically everyone would be horny but no one would be happy! and i think that's neat. if you could make me write anything, what would it be?
pushing daisies au where Buck fights fires and raises the dead, raises Eddie from the dead after the shooting (he got shot in the heart. haha no he didn't, captain mehta, he fell down from the shock! the blood came from....hm, don't worry about where all the blood came from,) and then they can't ever touch again
this is an opportunity for lots of angst as eddie tries to figure out why buck is suddenly creating a TON of physical distance between them while buck is also craving emotional closeness, BUT also it's an opportunity for, okay, hear me out, down the line in season 7, Eddie knows about the dying-if-they-touch thing and is all about throwing a blanket over Buck's head and hugging him through the blanket if need be, and they both basically know how they feel about each other (thanks to Buck having a breakdown on Eddie instead of on Christopher over the possibility of Eddie dying,) BUT they're both convinced that being together would just make them miserable SO they're not together, except for all the searing looks and panicky gloved handholding and one or two instances of frantic phone sex that both of them agree later is a huge mistake. buck doesn't date taylor, but after the lightning strike he DOES date natalia. eddie starts dating marisol. THEN, OKAY, TOMMY bc buck and eddie know how they feel about each other, but they can't be together, and eddie IS sort of loosely interested in tommy, and buck is ALSO interested in tommy although unaware of it, and buck is of course also deeply bitterly jealous of tommy and eddie, and tommy's interested in both of them, and, like, okay SO many opportunities for one or both of them to go "okay, YOU date tommy. no, no, you, i insist," and then, you know, my ultimate goal here: a threesome with Tommy where they're each doing to Tommy what they want to do to each other, full-on tender body worship and extremely intense voyeurism, and Tommy is extremely dazed, extremely fucked-out, and simply has no idea about the pushing daisies of it all, so doesn't fully get why after two hours of extremely great sex, it makes something in his stomach flip over when he's lying in the sheets about to fall asleep and Buck starts layering saran-wrap between his hands to create a little shiny barrier, and Eddie very carefully and gravely leans in and kisses him through the plastic.
