A Cry of Pain from the Al-Safadi Family Devastated by the War in Gaza

I am Mahmoud Al-Safadi, a 54-year-old man, married to Nada, who is 40, and together we have three children: Lina (24), Alaa (21), and Shahd (19). Like any family, our dreams were simple — to live safely together under one roof. But fate has been cruel to us.

The recent war in Gaza has completely destroyed our home, forcing us to move from place to place, searching for safety amidst the terrifying sounds of bombings and explosions. Displacement from northern Gaza became our only option, and here we are now, homeless and facing the harshest of conditions. We suffer from severe shortages of food, water, and medicine, and live under a blockade that stifles every hope of living with dignity.

I used to work at a mobile phone shop on Al-Nasr Street in Gaza City, but the war took everything. My workplace was completely destroyed, and I lost the only source of income for my family. Now, all I dream of is a chance to live, to provide my children with their simplest right — a peaceful life.

We are now in desperate need of your support. Every donation, no matter how small, could be a lifeline, offering us hope for a better tomorrow, maybe even saving us from this unending nightmare.

I'm Amal, 33 years old. My husband Eyad is 39, and we have seven children: Hala (15), Nour (13), Abdelrahman (11), Mohammed (9), Omar (6), Ahmed (4), and baby Hoor, just 7 months old.

In the blink of an eye, we awoke to a devastating barrage of bombs. The war had begun, and soon tanks surrounded us as the northern Gaza Strip was declared off-limits. We fled immediately from the north, leaving behind my husband who had to stay with his elderly father who cannot walk. The presence of checkpoints and the prohibition of vehicles forced my husband to remain in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the north of Gaza.

My four-year-old son, Ahmed, suffers from diabetes. It is a constant struggle to find insulin injections and test strips. Weeks go by without being able to check his sugar levels, leaving me in fear of whether his levels are too high or too low.

I fled on foot, just ten days after giving birth. I carried my ten-day-old baby and my other young children, alone, fighting for their safety. A few days later, the northern Gaza Strip was completely isolated, leaving my husband trapped.

I cannot bear the panic attacks that Hoor suffers from the constant bombing

It was incredibly difficult to care for my children without my husband, moving from one place to another. I finally sought refuge in a shelter school in Deir Al-Balah.

My children have been deprived of their father, who used to provide all their needs. Their schooling has been halted, and their mental health is in ruins due to the war. My baby girl cannot get proper nutrition and is unable to sleep due to the constant sounds of bombs.

We share our room at school with 40 people, lacking water and sanitary supplies

My husband remains in the north, experiencing severe famine. Periodically, I manage to contact him, learning that he is still alive, but his situation is dire.

We want to escape Gaza and survive this tragic war, to build a decent life for my family, providing the basics of life: food, medical care, and a safe home.

I also miss my working life, which, despite being exhausting, gave my life meaning and purpose. I miss the days of work and the effort I used to put in 💚.

And I long for the feeling of success and pride that filled me after achieving my goals in my studies and work. These memories of my accomplishments remind me of the joy of success💜.

I live every day amidst challenges, trying to stay strong despite all the difficulties. I try to be the support for my family, providing them with basic needs despite the scarcity of resources. And despite everything, I still believe that tomorrow will be better🤲🏽.

I'm gonna explain to you how the master and the doctor's behaviours and lifestyle can be traced back to an accident they had in their childhood where they killed a child with a rock to protect the other from drowning. they kept it a secret and burned the body together. and the doctor was a selfish child so when the personification of death herself asked him, he decided to put the blame of the murder on the master. Then he forgot that HE was the murderer and thought the master was the one who did it, for all his life. The master was an innocent child but because of the doctor he became the Death's champion, leaving a trail of death wherever he went. Subconsciously, when the murder happened, the doctor felt so guilty that he decided to pursue a life full of kindness and helping people. While the master, saw the act of killing someone for him with adoration. The only way to defend himself would become violence. He learned that love, is expressed through violence (that if someone really loves you, they would kill for you). And he kept living by this.
