And into his life waltzes Gabby, Goddess of Springtime, who invites herself into Hell and is just so fucking unimpressed by this guy who has been universally feared and isolated for so much of his existence. At first he tries to be all tough and intimidating and she just crosses her arms and gives him the most thorough once over in the history of Olympus before being like “yeah okay, that’s nice,” and sashaying away.

And Illya has no fucking idea what to do because how does one handle themselves around 5 feet of bright sunshiney terrifying springtime goddess who takes no shit from nobody (honestly, a ghost gave her lip once and his ass is still in Tartarus).

Angsting over the tragedy of Patroclus and Achilles is all well and good but can you imagine their reunion in Elysium?

Patroclus looking divinely beautiful in the bejeweled light, looking every bit as breathtaking and alive as he ever has, and Achilles hardly waits for Charon to stop the boat before leaping to shore. And he tackles Patroclus like they’re children again, rolling in the softest grass and kissing one another without fear, whispering words of love and happiness.

Hades is a little pissed because he’s got a whole speech for Achilles on being a hero of Troy and all that shit but when he sees how ridiculously happy they are together, he lets it slide. The Underworld needs a lighter touch and love like theirs is rare.
