Carol Peletier: Savage™ Edition

I swear I didn’t just pick Ben because I like him, haha!  I found the pics of him as Gerry (upper left) and as Neville (lower right) and thought “wow, that really works as Carol during and then after Season 1.”

I don’t watch The Walking Dead at @wickednerdery but a young friend did tell me to watch Carol’s parts on YouTube (she thought we thought alike). So I have seen as much of her parts as that channel has posted and yes, we do think alike. BTW, nice to hear from you again.

Really, you thought of her when you saw Ben as Gerry? That’s really interesting. I did not and would not have put them together. Gerry was adorable but he was so constantly deceptive so I did not view him favorably.

I can see Danny as a genderswapped Carol. He’s battered both inside and out. He can also get lethal when pushed to survive. Danny could pull it together to deal with zombies. His family was his downfall. He simply could not overcome them. So yeah, give Danny The Living Dead to cope with and he just might really shine!

I don’t tend towards Neville because I was not afraid of him. I did not buy Ben in that part, but that is just me.

Hey there @losethehours, thanks, nice to be kinda sorta semi-back, haha! (And Carol from The Walking Dead is the best!!)

I, haha, am afraid you’ve read far too much into what I wrote with this...I wasn’t referring to the characters/characterizations of Gerry or Neville, simply their appearance and the specific tone/looks they give in those specific pictures.

Carol to start is meek, she’s soft, and that’s how Gerry looks in that pic...he looks like how I imagine Carol would prior to and in the beginning of the show if she were a man. As the story goes on she becomes drastically tougher and harder (and for awhile lives in a prison with fellow survivors), hence, as a man, I could see her looking similar to Neville (in that particular photo) later on.

Character/Characterization wise, yes, Carol would have more in common with Danny (who I now wanna explore being in the zombie apocalypse since you mentioned it, lol)...but with aesthetics I’m focusing more on, well, aesthetics. (With other gender-swapped ones I don’t even know who the actor is portraying in certain pics I use because it’s not important, only their appearance/tone struck in the picture is...I just happened to know exactly who Ben was portraying in these pics, lol!)
