I said as I watched the final few episodes of Law & Order: SVU’s latest season.

((Which, by the way, was totally worth it for Titus and totally not for my desire to have a solid, sensible, plot or realistic show of how the law should work...Harry Bosch would be ashamed of all of you.))

yeah you don’t have to overload negan’s dialogue with every other word being “fuck”, “fucking”, or “motherfucker”! He’s already a man in power, there’s no reason he’d have to establish authority through swearing. Just his presence is enough. It’s just not part of his charm. Hi, this is Negan. The character you’re telling me doesn’t swear.

As you can see, his comic self - yes, Negan wasn’t born on TV - does curse more than say any other sort of word. And yes, TV Negan IS based on this guy. As you can probably guess, since I have both watched TV TWD and read comic TWD, I use elements from both. It so happens that Negan’s colorful speech is one of his most defining traits, and so I use that to my heart’s content.

It’s so damn pointed that it’s been mentioned by other characters a couple times. Example:

As a bonus, TV Negan is supposed to be like this. If AMC gave them freedom to curse, Negan would speak in fucks more than in English. As proof, this is Negan’s introduction before being censored. Give it a couple minutes and hear the fucks flying around. (More exactly, they begin at 1:30 I think.)

Also, I’ll have you know Negan ain’t classy. He’s a fucking buffoon. Another of his traits is how easily and swiftly he goes from threatening to goof.

Also, there’s the classic ‘don’t like, don’t read’. You’re more than welcome to try to do better than me, if you so wish :)

So, this one was requested by @ov099...”Ben or specifically Krennic in Star Trek - perhaps The Next Generation over any of the other series.”  Not being terribly familiar with The Next Generation (or any Star Trek aside the first two reboot films) I hope I’ve done it justice.  Either way, it was actually a lot of fun to make so thanks for the suggestion!!

I’ve Begun TNT’s Animal Kingdom...

And, I confess, I pretty much love it...it  pays respect to the film (perhaps because the film’s director is an executive producer?), but is distinctly different from the source material so that you can avoid making comparisons that would take away from either show or film.

I would recommend it and eagerly look forward to the rest of season 2 (I’m about a quarter to half through it) and season 3.
