Does anyone know (from the comics or from understanding electrical things) what the collar is; is it a tracker? a shock collar?

If not forced to wear muzzles, then it’s chains, obedience disks and slave collars. 

I’m really hoping it somehow prevents him from using magic, whatever else it does. The lack of magic in the trailer has me a little worried, but I’ll go along with it if they give us a solid reason that he can’t (unlike Ragnarok and Infinity War 🙄).

And @miskiett , your comment has made me quite angry on Loki’s behalf. You’re right, and I hope we get to watch him gleefully putting his captors in their place!

To answer other posters, Deadpool 2 and other Marvel movies had collars that looked nearly just like this that would block mutants from their powers so my guess is that it’s meant to keep Loki from his...though whether it’ll work or not on Loki remains to be seen. (I’m guessing no, or not for long lol!!)

Spikes, Hammers, & Wolves Prologue

Summary: After the war with the white walkers, Jon and Daenerys join their noble houses. Not longer after, Daenerys gives birth to their daughter and name her, Joanerys. As the child grows, Joh sees that his daughter not alone takes after him and Daenerys, but his sister Aarya. Jon knew what he had to do, he takes Joanerys to their local blacksmith to have a sword made for her.

While they are there, Joanerys meets a young blacksmith, Gendry. The two are quickly drawn to one and another. As they grow, so does their love. One day Gendry goes to Joanerys with ring in hand, only to find her already betrothed to another. A man name, Vlad Tepes, a fierce warrior and lord of a foreign land.

Spikes, Hammers, & Wolves Prologue

Normally war is sparked between kingdoms by death of a king. But what started this war, this rebellion, was love. The love Robert Baratheon had for Lyanna Stark, sister to Ned Stark who was also Robert’s best friend. Robert and Lyanna were betrothed, but Lyanna loved another. Rhaegar Targaryen, prince of King’s Landing and heir to the Iron Throne. 

The night before their wedding, Rhaegar crept in the shadows and made his way to Lyanna’s chambers. Once there, he confess his undying love for Lyanna and asked her to be his wife. Moved by his love, Lyanna agreed to be his bride. 

But as they they made their way to the horses, Robert came across them and draw his sword. Lyanna pleaded with Robert to call off the wedding and told him if he had any love for her, he would let her go. Robert simply took Lyanna’s hands in his, kiss them and bid her farewell. It was too good to be true, and it was. For inside Robert, a storm of jealously and rage was brewing.

Instead of returning to King’s Landing, the couple decided to settle on an island in the Sea of Dorne. There they had a private ceremony and bounded themselves to one and another. They made a life for themselves on that little island. They made a home and soon, their home will be filled with sounds of laughter from their first child.

Life was good for Lyanna and Rhaegar, till word begin to spread in the south, that Robert was leading an army from the North to attack King’s Landing and retrieve the so called abducted Lyanna. Their happiness was now shatter by someone else’s sorrow. Now blood will be spill as Rhargar goes to war with Robert, in order to protect the ones he loves.
