so once again it is July 9th and I’d like to remind you all of the heartbreaking, shaking, inhale that Taylor takes at 4:26-4:27 that sounds like someone trying to speak while crying, thanks for coming to my ted talk
not that i’m a super popular acc at all but i’ve largely distanced myself from Taylor Swift (capital TS) as a person and brand bc i can’t shake her constant silence regarding a majority of domestic and global issues when it was said in miss americana that she wanted to use her influence and voice more, meanwhile she is intentionally silent regarding an ongoing genocide in palestine, even speaking out against israel ONCE would influence boycotting exponentially however she is fine with not speaking on issues unless they mainly affect her personally
so once again it is July 9th and I’d like to remind you all of the heartbreaking, shaking, inhale that Taylor takes at 4:26-4:27 that sounds like someone trying to speak while crying, thanks for coming to my ted talk
rip the last kiss shaking inhale 2010-2023
please Taylor.
Stuff like this is exactly why I hate when people say “you can’t be mad at Taylor it’s not her fault”
Like yes, I can. Ticketmaster sucks, no one’s arguing that, and ideally that should be what’s forced to change. But ultimately there are ways to avoid the situation we currently have and it’s frustrating that Taylor and her team didn’t implement a system like this from the beginning.
so once again it is July 9th and I’d like to remind you all of the heartbreaking, shaking, inhale that Taylor takes at 4:26-4:27 that sounds like someone trying to speak while crying, thanks for coming to my ted talk
4 years later begging for this to be in taylor’s version
John Mulaney’s dad was absolutely right, being sat over on the bench and watching on whilst someone else gets hurt and doing nothing about it is horrible and it makes you a not good person and if John had perhaps listened to him at 6 years old, he wouldn’t have just invited a transphobe to open for him and aggressively hurt an entire community whilst he watched on. But no, he’s quite comfortable over on the bench.
there have been many cases already international clients dropping their commissions from filipino artists or avoiding commissioning filipino creators altogether, either due to a fear of consequences getting associated with us because of current events or the misguided notion that not supporting us somehow hurts the oppressive government we’re under. lemme address both those issues:
for the first reason, nothing will happen to you, a foreigner, for supporting filipinos. theres nothing to be afraid of, youre not in this country and wont suffer any consequences. many of us, however? we’re afraid. especially artists and creators who rely on commissions to support themselves and their families
for the second reason, you are not hurting our oppressors at all. you are hurting filipinos, majority of which did not want this to happen and are actively speaking out against the looming dictatorship. dropping filipino creators does nothing but hurt us. our inflation rates are predicted to rise, and money is fast becoming an even bigger issue for so so many
so if youre looking for art, dont give up on us. commission filipino artists and/or boost commission posts! 1 USD is literally enough to buy a meal here, it really helps. here is a link to a thread of filipino artists posting their commission rates. and here is another thread of filipino commission rates. tips and donations outside of comms to these artists help even more.

Still in need of medicine, mostly for anxiety but an antibiotic as well. I need about $42.

i didn’t say anything yesterday but im deeply disappointed in taylors involvement in where the crawdads sing
im a firm believer that in this day and age, it’s her job to perform her due diligence on every project she gets involved in and if she had, taylor should’ve easily uncovered all of the nasty, racist behavior from the author of the book and her husband and chosen not to assist in promoting the author’s work further and lining her pockets. ive seen a lot of ppl on my dash saying they’re excited to see the film, are now planning to read the book because of taylor’s recommendation, etc, and i urge y’all not to
like the author and her husband lived in zambia in the eighties and nineties and used to “hunt” literal human beings. that’s not even an exaggeration, they’re wanted for questioning for a murder in africa and have been advised not to visit africa ever again because they could be arrested. delia owens and her husband wanted to colonize africa and implement population control too
so yeah i do find it extremely disgusting that taylor is involved with this project because either she knows about these things (and there’s A LOT online with one quick search) or she’s still not performing her due diligence and researching the projects she gets involved in and lends her name to in 2022 at her big age where it’s not cute to be naive anymore
sorry for the repost, but i’m afraid that’s the only way to be heard again… i’m 28 years old and i live with my mum, which has lost her job recently due to the pandemic. i have a current job but it makes me gain so little (around 460€ at month) and it has become really hard to live through the month. if you could spare a couple of euros for me, i wouldn’t have the word to thank you all for your generosity… this is the link to my paypal account. my name is actually sarah, so don’t worry to be scammed! my boss is on vacation and probably she’s counting on giving us the money this week… for now, i’m literally -17€ on my bank account. please, spread this message reblogging it. that would be so helpful to me! thank you so much and sorry for the disturb

While remembering the members of the LGBT community who we have lost, it’s also important to remember that we can help our living members as well. Rainbow Railroad is an organization to help LGBT refugees find asylum in countries where their identities are not criminalized. Many countries still have strict laws against being LGBT, and in some countries, it is still punishable by death.
Some people who have immigrated with the help of Rainbow Railroad have said that they heard back within hours of initially reaching out, so the help they receive is immediate. They have different ways that you can help on their website, and of course word of mouth is a very powerful tool.
user pikhq: “for those not in the know: 1. paypal doesn't let you change the name on your account without a court order, and it displays the name on your account to other people with every transaction. 2. paypal is notorious for ignoring court orders to change names.”
user lilysimpson1312: “paypal can fuck off with this shit, y'all refuse to let trans people change their names and gender on our accounts”
reminder that as useful paypal is, it really sucks for lgbt users, and paypal changing their logo to the pride flags for june doesn’t do shit but exacerbate rainbow capitalism
Emergency Donations!!! - Need Help Moving!
I'm currently living in a group home due to my mental and physical health needs. Unfortunately, this group home is abusive.
Though they have not been physically abusive toward me, they have been with other individuals living here. They are also regularly emotionally and verbally abusive to me and everyone else living here. This includes a lot of screaming and staff members have even resorted to threats of physical violence.
I have fortunately found another group home to move into. I do need some financial assistance to make the move. As of now, I need about $400.
I will of course do some editing, critique work, etc., if you make a donation. Any small donation helps.
