Ok, we all know about TV and fanfiction, but what about radio?

“In Britannia in 130, a young Roman officer named Marcus Flavius Aquila and his freed slave Esca search for the Ninth Legion’s gold eagle standard, which vanished with the legion 13 years earlier.”

We first meet Marcus after he’s been wounded in battle and is being shipping home, delirious with fever. His leg heals badly and he requires MORE SURGERY to fix it and still walks with a limp. He and his buddy range across Scotland on foot, and no episode goes without reminding you just how much pain Marcus is in. Read the book, watch The Movie or the Mini-Series, but most definitely listen to the radio drama.

Here´s a list of some I just LOVE

It has lots of creepy, halloween-esque vibes to it which just fits perfectly with the story itself. CW// Monsterification (?), blood, poisoning that petrifies and turns you to dust, some vampirism, child abuse, unwilling betrayal, impalement, religious and cult whump, human experimentation and lots of body horror. 

This one looks so cute and fluffy until you get into the actual story and realize is just so fucked up. This one has big warnings for child abuse and child death tho CW// kidnapping, terrorism (theres some weird type of incest trama but it´s complicated to explain here) and careteker turned whumper.

 Chicken run with gifted children, honestly. CW//humans as food, (f-farm whump? idk how to describe this), escape attempt, whumping of minors, captivity, body horror, PTSD, broken bones and overall whumpees on the run.

If you´re ok with some gore made comedic relief and love strong female characters, this is your series. CW// memory loss, captivity, mind control, magic whump, forced bonding with captors, body horror, explicit torture sessions, hallucinations and PTSD, human experimentation, very diffuse lines between whumpees and whumpers.

Isekai but with a lawful evil main character. CW// slave whump, magic whump, framed, emotional whump and classism.

Gods that use the souls of the deceased to use as weapons to kill corrupted souls. It´s a bit tangled, but I promise you it´s worth it. CW// child abuse and child death, creepy whumper, forced to work for the enemy, memory loss, emotional whump and manipulation, magic whump and religious whump and abuse from gods to other gods.

One of my mom´s faves lol. Guy gets framed for murder and gets sent to a really really fucked up prison. CW// Captivity, manipulation, fighting rings, blood, a degree of gore, noncon body modifications and body horror, human experimentation, collaring, power imbalance and abuse in prision settings.

This one can be a slow anime because it focus on the recovery part of a emotionally blocked child soldier. CW// PTSD, child soldiers, recovery whump, war whump, regain of identity, grief and LOTS of emotional whump.

You will laugh and you will say wtf in the same breath. CW// explicit content, lots of restraining and manhandling, impalement, skinning, manipulation and betrayal.

You don´t miss much if you watch the first version but I prefer this one. CW// amputations and mutilations, child soldiers, magic whump, human experimentation, war whump, PTSD, kidnapping, on the run, ritual sacrifices, impalement, some recovery whump, disabled whumpee and prosthetics whump. 

Immortal whump on a train mystery as if it was a book your lit teacher told you to analyse. Really fucking funny for the dark subtext CW// immortal whumpees and whumpers, nonhuman pet whumpee, mafia whump and lots and lots of blood.

CW// Demon, religious and emotional whump at the max. Lab whump, cloning, human experimentation and magic whump. 

You will cry. CW// mafia whump, csa and whumping of a minor, drugs, whumpee turned whumper, dubcon and noncon, a kind of pet whump, kidnapping, gang whump, guns, recovery from PTSD, lab whump and human experimentation.

I actually couldn´t finish this one. The first chapter was a bit too brutal for me, but I´ve seen it gets incredibly more whumpy later on. CW// Prison whump, dubcon, abuse of power, explicit abuse, torture, captivity. 

It sets off with whump since second 1. CW// dubcon, slave whump, auctioned, recovery from trauma and magic whump.

CW// blood, death, grief, dismemberment, recovery whump, noncon, whumping of children and kidnapping.

I will add webtoons because there´s so many good stuff there. 

Heart wrenching story of werewolves treated as pets. CW// pet whump, fighting rings, nonhuman whumpees with human caretakers and whumpers, collaring, abandonment, conditioning, abuse and noncon attempt, restraints, muzzles and shock collars and noncon breeding.

Vampire whump that will make you cry. I go back to it every few months because it´s just. so good. CW// nonhuman whumpee with human caretaker, burns, classism, dubcon, humilliation and prostituion.

For the hystorical whump. Incredible twists! CW// slave whump, flogging, captivity, a variety of religious whump, defiant to broken whumpee, creepy whumper, whumping of a minor, self sacrifice, abuse of power, multiple whumpers, poisoning and captivity.

Honestly this is a recommendation I haven´t got around to read it myself, but after a full afternoon of hearing my friend, it has the sweetest whumpee ever and lots of caretakers protecting her...I really should read it already... CW// captivity, whumping of a minor, on a cage, captivity, 

And that´s on the top of my head. I´m sure there´s more whumpy stuff out there but this is what I recommend solely in what I´ve seen and like. Sorry for the long post;;;

Does anyone have good recommendations for whump stories? I love pretty much any kind, including stuff with NSFW, but I think what I enjoy most is probably Whumpees being treated as pets/dehumanized and also non human Whumpees. So yeah.

If vampires like whump-dream’s Alex, or semi-magical girl like the others aren’t non human enough @mielosastuff comes to my mind. (But from what I see you will find more art than writing there. I can only find one drabble… In Spanish.)

Since it’s not exactly my thing I can’t recommend many completely dehumanised whumpee stories, but I pass so many when I scroll down my dash, so there are certainly like trillions of them out there.

So it might probably suffice if you check out the ‘pet whump’ and 'bbu’ tags. Maybe add 'dehumanised’ and 'conditioned’ to the mix and you certainly find something.

But maybe my lovely followers can help.

@whumpzone‘s Rowe is a rescued pet whumpee with a secret whumper, very much recommended

@haro-whumps has three series with pet/slavery/box boy whump - I’m not caught up on all of them, but their writing is great

@whumping-every-day has the amazingly written vampire whump series with a nonhuman whumpee, Mutt as a rescued pet whumpee with heavy past humanization, and the Gabriel series that straddles the line between creepy caretaking and actual caretaking of a recovering pet whumpee, with some straight-up whump in the chapters of his past

@deluxewhump has lots of box boy / box babe whump, partially NSFW, all very well written

I’m not caught up on their series, but @just-a-whumping-racoon-with-wifi and @whumpfigure also have some very nice pet and dehumanization whump
