I came up with a prompt and then just decided to fill it myself. What if a whumpee with healing powers that only came into effect while they slept, was denied the thing that healed them?
Warnings: Whumpers POV, sadistic whumper, sleep deprivation, torture methods, nonconsensual drugging, needles, experimentation on people, magical healing, magical whumpee, restraints, whumpee referred to by dehumanizing “names”
It had never been an issue before. He could hurt a captive and they stayed hurt. Only healing slowly, painfully, until the lesson was learned, the punishment complete, or the experiment finished.
This new… subject… presented a unique problem. Their magical regeneration made any pain short-lived; even a quick cat-nap would leave them as good as new and back to peak physical fitness. Drained, possibly, but no longer feeling the sharp sting of a whip, the cut of a blade, or the burn of a red-hot rod.
Initially Darian had found this charming and fun. He could hurt them and let them sleep it off, only to inflict the same damage again the next day with the pain as bright and fresh as ever. Let them experience it all again and again, and so much more swiftly than the previous occupants of these cells ever had. He thought perhaps that in itself would wear them down.
This most recent escape attempt, however, demanded a different approach. They couldn’t get away with such insolence, not when they had such potential interest, not when they were such precious and wanted cargo. He’d lost one guard (perhaps they’d taken the opportunity to flee his grasp, or just had not found their way back up from the catacombs, either way they would be found and interrogated for their absence.), and had another laid up injured. Not to mention his pride and reputation– his ego, and he wasn’t ashamed to admit he had one–was almost smeared by failure.
So the problem it came down to was this: the subject could not be allowed to heal, which meant they could not be allowed to sleep.
omg poor poor 18.5!! they need a rescue so damn bad, this idea is so damn evil heh (I love it 😈). I love that Darian is fully aware he's not a proper scientist lmao. he's like 'yes this is just for fun, what did you expect?' xD
