Elf Whump!

~

Physical whump:

- Ears -> sensitive ears tugged on by the whumper (or pierced with a plastic tag like livestock), better-than-human hearing makes loud music/noises painful, mocked for their ears by humans and self-conscious about them

- A nature elf driven out of their natural home, getting sicker and sicker in the modern city, where it’s too loud/busy/confusing for them (bonus if kind humans realise this and buy the elf dozens of house plants to fill their city flat with, or make sure to take them regularly to the park to help the elf recover)

- Harmed by another elf through physical force, caught in a trap, being shot with arrows, or with another elf’s magic, ie. blasted with ice, water, fire, mind-controlled, etc. OR the elf whumper taking away something precious to the whumpee, ie. the voice of an elf that loves singing, or a hand from an elf that is skilled at archery)

- Elves with specific powers being harmed, ie. a tree elf being too close to fire, or a water elf stranded in the desert

- A weakened elf getting captured by humans and trapped (in a lab? Cage? Outdoor enclosure like a zoo animal?) to be studied or kept as a prisoner or pet

- A sadistic human/elf hunter torturing an elf, because they want proof the elf isn’t human (elves’ enhanced healing abilities), or to see how many injuries they can heal from

- Elf captured by another elf whumper stronger than they are, who keeps them trapped, treats them as a pet, etc.

- An elf’s powers (ageless, can commune with animals, ability to heal/harm) getting mistaken for witchcraft during the height of the witch trials in Europe and having to run from humans

- A young or very powerful/emotional elf accidentally hurting/killing their loved ones with their magic, or they use too much strength in a fight against a human and accidentally hurt/kill them

Emotional whump:

- Elf using magic to pass for human (in order to study humans, or as a spy?), only they get injured and their magic is so drained that their glamour fails and the humans see they’re elvish/not human and reject/hurt/try to kill them (bonus if the humans are elf hunters and the elf was very close with one of them)

- A whumper humiliating the elf by taking away something important to them, ie. cutting the long hair they were known for (bonus if it’s another elf that does it, especially if it’s an elf that whumpee trusted and considered a friend)

- Elf’s favourite humans getting hurt (by another elf?) -> they weren’t in time to stop it, or they try to stop it but aren’t strong enough. There may also be ‘fates’ which are more powerful than any elf/magical creature and they won’t allow the elf to interfere with the human’s ‘destiny’

- A centuries-old elf’s partner/friend dying, one they’d known since childhood

- Immortality -> getting bored/tired/sad after watching over the earth for centuries and watching their loved ones die, if they don’t live among other elves, or having to constantly move from place to place in the human world, so that no-one notices they never age (bonus if the elf has been exiled from elvish society for something they didn’t do)

- A “young” elf (about 50-100) not taken seriously by other, older elves (could be light angst, or darker, ie. young elf warns about a serious threat and isn’t listened to)

- Elf’s favourite place being destroyed -> ie. a particular tree/lake/landscape. They may not be physically connected to it, but have enjoyed visiting there for centuries, and then humans ruin it by mining/building on it, or else a natural wild-fire/earthquake/landslide ruins it
