"The only way you get out of here alive is if you do exactly what I say. This is not a threat this is me trying to help your ass but there is not time to discuss. If you want to live come with me, do not talk, and be ready to run like hell when I tell you."
“Why aren’t you angry with me?! I sold you out! I almost got you killed! Why aren’t you mad at me?” the traitor sobs through a tight hug.
a hero coming to a villains compound, surrendering themselves, their friends dead and gone, they’re giving up, falling to their knees, head bowed, wrists held aloft in surrender.
"Poor hero," Villain teases, playing their knife across Hero's throat, "Would you like me to take the pain away?"
Villain huffs out an amused breath when Hero leans into the blade.
"No," Hero whispers, a shudder wracking through their exhausted body as the sharp edge splits the skin at the side of their neck.
"Oh."
Caretaker watched the stranger deep asleep on their couch. They had no idea where whumpee came from, only they were on the side of the road in that awful storm. The power was out and they had no way to call for help.
They had wounds that weren't from the storm. They were man made and varied with different tools. It was nothing like caretaker had ever seen before...
Caretaker turned their back to light a candle when they heard a quiet thump behind them. They turned around to find whumpee off the couch against the wall trying to make their way to the door.
"Woah woah woah! You're in no condition to be up like that." Caretaker scolded. Whumpee stopped in their tracks, realizing they weren't alone. They shakily turned around with a wide-frightened gaze. Their knees slowly gave in as they sunk to the floor and stayed frozen.
Caretaker dropped to a crouch, feeling odd standing so tall over them. "I know you're hurt, so let's go back on the couch and see what we can do, okay?"
Whumpee tilted their head towards the door, listening to the crash of lightning and a downpour of rain. "How did you find me?" Whumpee spoke in a whisper.
"Luck." Caretaker shrugged, scooting an inch closer. "Did someone hurt you? Are you in some sort of trouble?" Caretaker asked.
"No." Whumpee spoke shortly. Caretaker knew that was a lie; but if that's what whumpee wanted caretaker to think to be comfortable enough to let them help, then so be it.
I've been playing Skyrim again and one quest in particular has a very whumpy path so enjoy: (Orthorn is the elf, and the one speaking in the first screenshot. The Caller is the person you negotiate with.)
Bonus Fallout:

“I almost didn’t recognize you.”
“The scars are new.”
“Who…who gave them to you?”
“Doesn’t matter. They’re dead.”
“you weren’t supposed to make it back”
Quote Prompt
“Unless you physically drag me out of here, I’m not going to leave. There is no way that you can make this environment more inhospitable than any one of the places that I’ve lived.”
When a character says “kill me quickly” to someone who would never dream of killing them… good stuff
Whump Prompt #1216
@cyborg0109 asked:
Do you have any prompts for newly rescued whumpee being scared of caretaker?
Sure:
- Begging the caretaker not to touch them - even to apply bandages/stitch them up. (Though eventually caving after a lot of convincing)
- The caretaker classic: “I’m not going to hurt you”
- Or: “I don’t mind that you don’t trust me. It’s okay. I wouldn’t trust me either, but if you don’t let me help, it’s going to hurt worse.”
- Also: “I can’t promise that I’m not going to hurt you, okay? I can’t promise that me bandaging you up wont hurt, but I promise It’ll help.”
- Whumpee backing themselves into a corner - paralysed by fear.
- Does your whumpee freeze, or do they fight?
Conversation Prompt
“Why did you save me? Why did you give me a second chance?”
“Because… honestly? I don’t think you ever had a real chance at all.”
Whumpee feeling really sick or being in a lot of pain, and they're scared or just in general need of comfort. They can't quite reach caretaker from where they're laying though, so they just whisper something trying to get caretaker's attention. It works, and they look down, "Do you need something, whumpee?"
And they rasp, "hand," with tears in their eyes.
Caretaker feels their heart ache, "of course." And gently take their hand.
Dialogue Prompts for Stoic Whumpee™️
- “It’s not a big deal. They didn’t do much.”
- “The scars are none of your concern. Don’t look at them if you don’t like them.”
- “What happened? Nothing. Nothing worth complaining about.”
- “Hey, hey, are you with me? It’s okay, take a deep breath. I know what to do— you’re going to be okay.”
- “I don’t like short sleeves. And I don’t like your questions.”
- “I didn’t flinch then and I didn’t flinch now—fuck—fine— when someone raises their hand close to my face, what do you think i’m going to do?”
- “At one point, it was just me and the cliff. And the wind. Loud, that night. But—well, I’m still here, aren’t I?”
- “I’ve said too much.”
- “If I’ve learned one lesson, it’s that trust should be sparsely given. Remember that, my friend, next time you try to leave a knife in my ribs.”
- “When we go in there, I’m going to act different. Yeah, it’s all bravado. We’re going to pretend we like the bastards, and then we’re going to rob them.”
- “Shut up. You don’t know what you’re talking about. You never did.”
"Where would you have gone if I hadn't come back?"
"I woulda gone to find you. Obviously."
"Okay, but what if you didn't find me?
"I'd keep looking 'til I did."
"What is all this?"
Whumpee gave a sheepish smile as they carefully set the plate of pancakes and the two cups of coffee down in front of their caretakers. "I wanted to do something special for you," they admitted. "I, uh... I hope it's good. I can't taste it myself, 'cause of..." they trailed off, motioning vaguely to their pointed fangs. "...but I followed the recipe to the letter! So I hope it's okay."
Much to their relief, both caretakers seemed to love it. Both had multiple, drizzled with maple syrup and whatever else they felt like that morning. Whumpee felt a great sense of triumph as they cleaned their dishes up afterwards, and were rewarded with two cups of blood that morning instead of their usual one.
