Just a random thing I've noticed about my whumperflies, not every time but on a few occasions. I don't know if the butterfly feeling hits some weird nerve or aggravates my allergies or what but I'm curious if it happens to anyone else.
Caretaker catching the bug that the contagious whumpee's got and feeling guilty for disturbing them with badly suppressed coughs and sneezes when they're supposed to be resting
Halfheartedly trying to console myself as I'm blowing my nose for the millionth time today: Any snz peep would love to have me in their life
Two sick whumpees sneezing violently at the same time and smacking their heads together for just another layer of misery

Typically no, because the brain functions are too depressed and the muscles paralyzed so they can’t respond to the stimulation; the reflex can’t fire. Hiccupping has been known to happen occasionally, though, depending on the placement of the particular patient’s airway.
Watching a livestream, seeing the streamer sneeze and my immediate reaction being “Welp, that’s probably getting clipped by the snz peeps”

Oh yeah, haven't seen that movie in a while but I remember that part. I think somebody made a little compilation of the three spider actors' different sneezes, that was funny!

Wanting to write a sick fic for [insert character] but you don’t want to write a sneeze using the basic “achoo” (no shade to anyone who does of course, just not my style) so you have to go hunting through canon and any/all actor interviews to see if they ever got caught sneezing on camera so you can replay it on a loop to really capture the realistic essence of their unique individual sneeze sound in your head while you’re writing it

Weird fact! I can’t drink carbonated beverages without going into sneezing fits! For some reason all the buzz goes to my nose rather than my throat 😂
A whumpee who wears glasses getting smudges and snot on their lenses as they blow their nose

“You shouldn’t kiss me, I could be contagious,” the sick whumpee sniffles self-consciously.
“I think after taking care of you the last few days, I would have caught it by now,” their S/O reminds them as they lean in. “Besides, love is the best medicine.”
Whumpee can’t argue with that. Blushing, they move in to meet their lips -- and then they promptly sneeze in their face, leaving the S/O stunned and Whumpee reeling back to hide under their blankets, completely mortified.
Caretaker watching, completely unimpressed as Whumpee struggles, face contorting in vain attempts to hold back their sneeze 😂
What kind of sneeze does your whumpee have? Are they a dad-sneezer, with enough force behind their sneeze to blow Caretaker away? Are they a kitten-sneezer, leaving Caretaker hard-pressed not to squeal at the cute? Are they a silent sneezer who makes up for it with the craziest pre-sneeze expressions? Make ’em diverse!
Whumpee sneezing violently into their hands after they run out of tissues and immediately regretting it. Now they have to wrangle themself out of their cocoon of blankets and go wash the mucus off their fingers.
