I know some of the names are less dehumanizing than others, but the human names on here were from lists of the most popular names for pets. so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Plenty of beautifully degrading nicknames out there but I think one of the best I've heard yet is when the whumper refers to the whumpee as "[Caretaker's] lapdog"

Caretaker and Whumpee reclaiming one of the nicknames that Whumper tried to ruin because it was theirs first and Whumper has no right to use it and no power over them anymore ❤️
So I've noticed people disagreeing on what name to call me lately? Every time someone calls me Ace I can't help but wonder if they're mistaking me for aceofwhump. It's happened before 😅 Not that I mind being called Ace! You can call me that or Red or Whumpster, whatever suits, I don't mind any of them

Sure, I’ve got a few! Some of these may be more tailored to certain kinds of whumpers and the roles they might take toward the whumpee
- Master/Mistress
- Sir/Ma’am
- Boss
- My Lord/Lady or King/Queen
- Your Highness/Majesty
- Their Keeper/Owner/Caretaker
- Father/Mother
- Creator/Maker (i.e. for a robot whumpee)
- [Actual Caretaker’s name] (just so Whumper can ruin any good associations with it)

Hello, it’s me again 😅 I was wondering if you had any good pet name suggestions a whumper would use (I’m mainly using this as inspiration for my hero in my superhero universe, because he was sexually abused when he was a young child, so he has a lot of problems with pet names, and other triggers)?
Do you have any good name ideas a Whumper could give their Whumpee? And not like nicknames, but an actual new name?
That really depends on the whumper’s personal preference. Without knowing anything about your characters, I can’t give personalized suggestions. Are there certain names that have special meaning to them? Maybe the name of someone they once loved? The name of a dead family member? Their childhood dog’s name? A fantasy name? One that translates to a certain phrase? One that they just think sounds nice on the tongue? It could be anything. What’s a name that would make them smile when they called it out?
Does anyone else have a favored pet name for their whumpee? Cause I’ve gotta tell you, I go weak in the knees for either Caretaker or Whumper calling the whumpee “little one” ❤️

The whumper has conditioned the whumpee not to respond to their own name anymore. When they’re rescued and Caretaker calls them by their name, Whumpee acts like they don’t hear it. Caretaker repeats it. There’s a flinch, an uncomfortable expression.
“[Name]! Can you hear me?”
“No! No, no, no, that’s not right,” they chant anxiously, pressing their hands over their ears. “I’m Pet. I’m called Pet.”
