Mind controlled Whumpee is home again but they're not really back. They have to be restrained so they won't hurt themself and all their loved ones who are trying to figure out how to snap them out of it for good. They have to be gagged so they'll stop tearing everyone down with Whumper's words in their mouth. Even better if Whumper allows them fleeting moments of lucidity to wonder in fear why their loved ones are holding them in captivity like this before lapsing back under to prove exactly why
Whumper easing up the control over Whumpee's mind just long enough for their loved one(s) to think they've finally snapped out of it. Just long enough for Whumpee themself to hope they might somehow be free. Long enough for the others to risk getting closer, within reach for a betrayal attack
Thinking about magic or mind/emotional control that brings out all the whumpee's worst qualities, leading them to drive away all their loved ones so they won't have anyone there for them in the vulnerable aftermath when they snap out of it and need them most 😊
this or that - captivity whump (14)
Love it when a whumpee who's known to be especially emotive just goes blank. Dead quiet, glassy eyes, no thoughts head empty, especially if the change is super abrupt and unnerving
I think my ~awakening~ was TMNT2012. One part was definitely the episode Parasitica where the turtles are slowly "mind controlled" (I guess) by a parasitic wasp to protect its eggs, fighting anyone who tries to harm them. My two favorite tropes now are betrayal (especially forced betrayal) and mind control
Good tropes, great tropes to be sure!
Idea: caretaker with mind-control powers. When whumpee is having panic attack/nightmares/something else, caretaker simply forces thoughts like "You are safe", "Everything is fine" etc into whumpee's mind. Whumpee does not resist this at all, because it is so much easier to let caretaker take control when everything feels horrible, and even though the rest of the team may not exactly like it that whumpee is sometimes "mind-controlled zombie", it also make things much easier for them. Thoughts?
What’s that they always say about good intentions? It makes it worse that Whumpee wants it from Caretaker and lets them take charge so they don’t have to process their trauma themself
Whumpee didn’t survive what Whumper did to them, but their ghost lingers on. They try almost everything to get Caretaker to realize that they’re still around, but Caretaker is blinded by grief. Whumpee is desperate at this point, and there is still one last resort they’ve been avoiding: invading Caretaker’s mind/body.

Caretaker turned whumper by actual Whumper(could be some sort of mind altering drug, could be magic, brainwashing, ect.), and the Caretaker is even crueler than the actual Whumper ever was, using every little thing Whumpee told them against them, all while manipulating a sense of worthlessness into the Whumpee because 'they aren't good enough to make Caretaker happy with them'
Oof. Imagine the horror and guilt if Caretaker eventually snaps out of the spell or whatever it is and they realize what they’ve done to the poor whumpee. They’ve shattered them, betrayed them and lost their trust; now Whumpee can’t even be a comfort to Caretaker as they try to recover from being controlled. It’s a lose-lose for both of them.
What are long term side effects of hypnosis, unknowingly eating cooked human meat, and living in constant darkness.
1) If you mean the "hypnosis" that offers complete mind control, that isn't real. Under realistic hypnosis, no one can be made to do something they don’t want to do. You can use your imagination and make up your own mind control side effects
2) Eating cooked human meat is no more dangerous than eating cooked animal meat. Just avoid the brain if you don't want to risk kuru (a very rare disease anyway. Its last victim died in 2005, I think)
whump from once upon a time: stealing hearts & squeezing them to keep people under control
Ooh, yeah, there was definitely a lot of that! Good stuff!
Tiny whump detail that never fails to satisfy: Whumpee’s eyes changing color (even if it’s a just momentary flash) when they fall under a spell or mind control 👌👌👌
The series finale of macgyver aired and it has mind control nanobots in the bloodstream which was pretty neat for whumping imo
Ooo, nice! Mind control’s always good for spicing it up!
"It seems that I've taken over his body! I can only imagine how embarrassed he'll be when he gains back control! well, not that you'd be still be alive to see that, anyway."
“Embarrassed” will be the understatement of the year, I’m sure!
what would the whumpee experience/feel if they were in mind control? I want to add this type of thing to my story but I also want to make sure it's realistic.
I’m not sure how to answer, really, because under realistic hypnosis, no one can be made to do something they don’t want to do. Hypnosis can be persuasive, but does not give the hypnotist control over your mind, morality, or judgment.
In a fantasy context, their experience of it will probably depend on how high their resistance to it is. If they fell to it easily, I imagine some kind of heaviness/blankness/numbness to whatever is happening around them (but I’ve never been under hypnosis so...? Can anyone else reblog with suggestions?)
“I feel…so weird…”
“What are you doing to me…?”
“Your eyes feel so, so heavy.”
“All you really want is to sleep.”
“Please…please stop, just let me go…”
“That’s it…Going deeper and deeper.”
“All you can hear is the sound of my voice.”
“Surrendering feels so very good, doesn’t it?”
I dunno if you can do this but can you put all these in one prompt? It’s ok if you can’t
Whumpee finished the cup of tea, setting it back down on the coffee table and settling down deeper onto the couch. They shot a nervous smile to Whumper, who sat in an armchair next to the couch, clipboard in hand.
"Thank- thanks for seeing me on such short notice, Doc," they said, stifling a yawn.
Whumper smiled warmly. "You're very welcome, Whumpee."
They continued speaking, saying something about their normal procedures, but Whumpee's mind suddenly felt like it had been filled with cotton. Their senses felt muffled, and their eyelids seemed impossibly heavy.
Cutting them off, Whumpee braced an arm against the couch. "I feel... so weird..." they mumbled.
From far away, they heard Whumper mutter, "Finally," before setting the clipboard aside and sitting forward to push Whumpee back. "Your eyes feel so, so heavy right now, Whumpee. All you want to do is sleep."
There was something almost hypnotic about their voice and Whumpee could barely move to stop them as they pushed them back on the couch. "What are you doing to me?" they asked drowsily. "Please... please stop, just let me go."
Whumper kept a firm grip, pinning them to the couch. With each second that slipped by, Whumpee felt themself losing more and more control over their body, everything going limp and relaxed. "All you can hear is the sound of my voice," Whumper intoned as Whumpee's eyes fluttered shut. "That's it, just keep going deeper and deeper."
Whumpee parted their lips to say something, but everything seemed to jusg drain out of them. Right before they slipped off to some dreamless sleep, they heard Whumper murmur, "Surrendering feels so good, doesn't it? Don't you worry now, I'll take good care of you."
Yesssss, great use of my prompts!
