In milk we trust

It was a really hard and long process to gain reserved Whumpee's trust. And Caretaker was so proud that they managed to get through to them.

But then Whumpee takes a big sip of coffee Caretaker prepared.

The milk turns out to be horribly spoiled. And Caretaker didn't realise.

Turns out that while I'm whumpdreaming I look like I'm about to cry.. But- I have so much fun, I'm probably just imitating Whumpee's expression. It's like while drawing sad characters.

A cute little recovery detail:

Whumpee deals with the anxiety by sitting down on the floor. So when they have sensory overload in public spaces, they need to sit down and breathe to ground themselves.

So Caretaker sits down with them too, so they don't feel embarassed by doing it alone.

When Whumper had finished Youngest was barely conscious and Leader and Teammate were hoarse from shouting.

"Youngest?" Leader asked, voice full of desperation and fear.

Slowly, painfully, they lifted their bruised and bloody face. "Hey... anyone else think that guy's a bit of a dick?" Youngest chuckled, and promptly winced from their probably broken ribs.

"I'm going to kill Whumper," Teammate said, mostly to themselves.

"At least wait for me to heal up first. I-" Youngest coughed, blood dribbling from their mouth, "I want to give them a taste of their own medicine."

Whump in the Car or Public Transport

(Cw: team whump, death of the character, suicidal plan of escape, kidnapping, human eating monsters, failed escape)

Whumpee 1 is ordered to fix the car, because they worked before as a mechanic. When Whumper's not looking, they cut the string from the brake. Oh the dread of fear and guilt they feel when they realise it's not Whumper who is going to drive that car but the other, well-trained whumpee.
Two Whumpees. One freshly kidnapped, tied up in the backsit of the car. And the other Whumpee, Whumper's old capture, trained enough to be trusted with working as Whumper's chauffeur. The older Whumpee feels pity as they hear the crying and they consider the last act of disobidience: to drown the car in the lake down the cliff. The death will be so much better for new whumpee then what awaits for them in Whumper's house.
My beloved: Whumpee wakes up with a gasp. Their whole body hurts. They don't know where they are. They don't recongise the car they lay in. Also they realise they are patched up with bandages and covered with a blanket. The unknown driver just says: "Sleep. There's three more hours to the border. I'm dropping you on the other side, where you're safe"
Whumpee sits on the backsit of Wumper's car. Very carefuly raises their hand, clutches their fist to shows the signal for help in the back window for the driver behind them. The driver behind them is a crazy road maniac and instantly just turns in the "GTA" mode and starts the wild chase after the whumper, resulting both of the cars being crashed and flipped upside down. The crazy "Caretaker" pulls Whumpee out of the broken window. They both are bleeding from their foreheads. (W:) "Holy shit. HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT. Are you like... a mafia guy?" (C:) "A librarian"

Public transport:

Whumper's a humanoid carnival creature that hunts for the pray from the passangers (ghoul/vampire etc). Tired, drunk, sick people are easier to kidnap and eat. Careraker on the other hand is a vegetarian annoying little shit that follows Whumper around and sabotages their hunts. Maybe that's an act of revenge for turning Caretaker into a monster? One day the bus is so crowded people are almost standing on eachother. No fresh air. Whumpee feels dizzy, their head starts spinning. They stumble and fall on the man standing in front of them. Literally falls unconcious into the embraces of Whumper. Whumper goes with it and carries whumpee to the door to exit at the next stop. But then there's a familiar voice: "Stop the bus! The person has fainted!". Whumper and Caretaker maintain the eye contact and Caretaker just shrugs with a little smirk as the conductor makes their way to take care of unconcious Whumpee.
Whumpee plugs in the earphones and listens to music, waiting for the plane to board. But then passangers next to them switch sits with someone. "Excuse me, can we maybe switch sits? Mine is way better, with a window. I'm sure you'd like it. And it means so much to me to sit with my good friend". Whumper they tried to escape sits right next to them.

Caretaker comforting Sickie/Whumpee

Whumpee in their delirious state are calling for Caretaker. Caretaker shushes them and pets their hair soothingly. (C:) "I'm right here, it's okay. I'm here". But Whumpee in a fever doesn't seem to understand. (W:) "Caretaker... I love you so much, Caretaker". It's the very first time they say it. Because Whumpee probably doesn't know what they're saying, Caretaker doesn't ask any questions. Just hugs them closer "I know. Me too"
The Leader figure that always seemed distant, sits beside young protagonist's bed to make sure they keep breathing (some serious sickness). Protagonist wakes up and sees the Leader sitting in the armchair, smoking cigarette/reading newspaper to the nighlight.
Caretaker blowing at Whumpee's burn injuiry, because it helps to soothe the pain. But it hurts non stop, so Caretaker sits with them for hours, even at night. It really helps. Whumpee finally stops crying. Their face is all wet from tears, but they calm down and breathe deeply. They realise how tired they were. Finally Whumpee falls asleep. Caretaker keeps blowing at the wound even then.
It's a hot night, but Whumpee suffers from heavy fever. And feels so so cold. Shivers under the blankets. (Maybe some magical freezing sickness?). Caretaker hugs them to warm them up, even tho Caretaker's almost boiling. It's summer.
