Whumpberry Cookie

The whumpee would dream of escaping, of being comforted, and of freedom every night, only to wake up in the same empty cell. It came to the point where the whumpee would try to sleep as much as possible, as dream were their only source of comfort at this point.

Imagine Caretaker secretly being a telepath or dream traveller.

And Caretaker giving Whumpee all those dreams, because they couldn't rescue them in real life.

Maybe they were both prisoners in separate cells and Whumpee didn't know about it?
