What about a caretaker struggling to help a conditioned whumpee who’s in complete denial that they’ve actually been conditioned?

“Look, Whumpee… This isn’t something to be ashamed of. If anyone, it’s Whumper who should be ashamed. But accepting reality is the first step—”
“Cut the bullshit,” Whumpee snapped. “I’m not ‘conditioned’. I’m not some dog to be trained. I’m perfectly fine.”
Caretaker swallowed and nodded. “You’re not a dog, no. But abusers like Whumper can instill patterns in your brain that can be hard to break out of, like…”
“Like what?”
“Like having to ask for permission every time you want to eat, despite my repeated assurances that you can eat whenever and whatever.”
Whumpee crossed their arms, glaring at Caretaker. “So what if I like to ask beforehand?”
“You’ve gone entire days without eating because I was away and forgot my phone at home.”
They scoffed. “That’s hardly conditioning.”
“Whumpee…”
“I’m not a dog. I’m done with this conversation.” And with that, they turned on their heel and left Caretaker in the kitchen.

Zhongli's voice sounds firm and calm. But soon later, as he carries Xiao out, there are horryfying screams behind. Sound of splashing liquids, sounds of crushing objects, limbs perhaps? Pleading. Screaming. Sound of crawling on the ground. They walked out, but the sounds still didn't quiet down.
"Morax... ifai-ifailed you"
"I promised I would watch over you, many years ago. This contract does not expire. No matter if you fail or not. Who commisioned this?"

"They are already safe."
And here Xiao falls asleep in friend's embrace.

Breaking a stoic whumpee

Caretaker: "It would be so much easier if-" *Whumpee jerks away their head from Caretaker's grasp. The bowl falls on the ground and breaks* "...-ugh, if you could eat on your own for once"
Whumpee: sjust..m... llergi... *mumble mumble*
Caretaker: Oh? What was that? No no, go ahead, speak. I'm listening.
Whumpee: I'm- uh... I'm allergic to wheat.
Caretaker: oh gosh.
Caretaker was feeding them bread and pasta for a week now.

Whumper got his defiant Whumpee muted, so they can't say anything mean. They can only communicate by pressing given talking buttons.
"You are very well behaved today. You may have back your Bitch Butto-"
"BITCH-BITCH-BI-BI-BI-BITCH! BITCH BITCH BITCH-"
"Well as long as you have fun"

Caretaker having to order Whumpee around because they literally won’t respond to anything else. There is no “please drink your water” or “you need to drink your water”, only “Drink your water.”
No please, no wish, no softness. Only a demand that needs to be followed.
Sometimes, there needs to be a threat. Of course Caretaker would never threaten with harm, only things like “you can’t sit on the couch” or “no extra Tv time.” (Things Whumpee would associate with “rewards”) and that’s the only way Whumpee would do it.
Caretaker hated it- but they could only hope that someday, they wouldn’t have to do it anymore.
It’s the little “…I don’t want to die” that 😤👌🏻✨

The character who never initiates phisical affection and is very reserved with their words.
But if someone else hugs them or pets their cheek, they just silently lean into it.

There's the underground organisation that focuses on freeing political prisoners from interrogations.
The thing is, their rules say the members can never ever show their faces during the missions. Or their voices. Or anything that could help indentifying them.
So when Whumpee's carried out of the prison, they instantly lose hope. Because their rescuers don't remove the blindfold. They don't reasure Whumpee. They don't explain where they are taking Whumpee.
And when Whumpee starts fighting, they silently tie them down to a table by legs and wrists.
Even tho new Caretaker tries to treat their wounds the gentlest they can, Whumpee still begs for death, thinking another interrogation is about to begin.
After a long time healing Whumpee is allowed to move around the room. Tho their hands are still tied behind their back, so they don't try to remove the blindfold.
Caretaker feeds them by a spoon in silence.
"...Thank you"
Caretaker just pats their back in responce.
“I thought you wouldn’t be here.”
“Their execution? Wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
— “can… can i have a hug? please?”
— “oh, sweetheart- come here.”
— “how long has it been since someone hugged you?”
— “just hold me.”
— “is this okay?”
— “we don’t have to talk, if you don’t want to. we can just sit here together until you feel up to anything else.”
— “can i hug you? you look like you could do with it.”
— “are you blushing?! that’s adorable.”
— “it’s okay, baby, just let it all out. i’ve got you, i promise.”
— “you fell asleep in my arms. it was kind of adorable.”
— “please, never apologise for wanting to be loved.”
— “you don’t need to earn my affection, not now and not ever.”
— “i’m never more at peace than i am in your arms.”
— “not that i think cuddling will fix everything, but i’m pretty sure it can’t make things worse.”
— “i never knew i could feel this loved.”
