you can pinpoint the exact moment when geralt realises that he was responsible for jaskier’s suffering since his wish caused the djinn to attack the bard. it’s subtle but the concern is written all over geralt’s face. the abrupt cut to the next scene which shows jaskier on the ground, completely terrified of yennefer, puts emphasis on this as well but it also creates the impression that jaskier is still not out of danger— and geralt knows that.
