Please, please, please gimme tears if fear for bthb? I don't care what character
My ability to write seems to have plummeted recently, it seems, but hope you like it! Also I might name her because I have to get attached to every character I write hehe
“What do you want from me? Let me go!” The girl’s cries went unheard as she was roughly dragged away, her wings taking most of her weight. Sharp rocks jutted into her back and legs, blood seeping out onto the dirt. The harpy that was holding her said nothing. He didn’t even look back.
“I said, let go of me!” Head rearing back, she tugged back on his arm, pulling it toward her mouth. She bit down, sinking her fangs into his arm. Yanking it back, he called out something, and more people rushed toward them. Just before venom could spurt out and make his death as painful as he deserved, hands were on her, pinning her down and tying her up with long coils of rope. The avian tried to get at least one part of her body free, but apparently her captors had had practice, because nothing moved an inch away from where it had been tied.
Suddenly, all the hands left, a chilling cold in their place. Her captors had backed away, leaving her in the center of a circle. To make matters worse, a frigid breeze blew through the trees, the ropes doing nothing to warm her up.
A blood-curdling chant took the place of the eerie silence, ebbing and flowing to some tempo the girl couldn’t understand. As quickly as it had started, it stopped, and the silence replaced it again, everyone backing away until the girl was left in the clearing.
She was completely alone, with only the stars to keep her company. Heart pounding, she kicked at the ropes, but they wouldn’t budge. Were they just going to leave her there? She almost missed the chanting, at least she had been warmer. Tears pooled in her eyes, and she tried to shake them away. Crying wouldn’t help anything right now. Try as she might, she couldn’t stop the frightened sobs from clawing their way out of her throat. Pressing a hand to her mouth, she curled up on the ground and waited for it to pass.
