A-fuckin’-men. For god’s sake, fandom, some of you need to stop. Just. stop.
You’re not “real” fans. You’re not super fans. You’re not the best fans. You’re fucking stalkers.
Following these people on the streets, standing for hours/days outside hotels, waiting outside places they regularly go??
::coughs-sebastianstanatthegym-coughs::
You’re the worst kind of fan, because you’re not a fan. You’re a stalker.
And worse than that, you don’t even know or recognize it. Because you have no common sense, no basic human decency, and no respect for the people you claim to admire/support/love/whatever.
If you did, you’d understand how you’ve gone too far and how wrong you are to do what you do for your own selfishness and desperation for your 15 seconds of internet fame- because that’s all you’ll get because you’re just another flash in the glaring awfulness that is stalker fans.
You’re a discredit and shame to the fandoms you claim to be a part of.
Of course these stars will be polite and try to be accommodating with selfies and signatures and whatnot. Because if they say “no” or ask you to respect their privacy, you’ll drag them endlessly- as if somehow they were the ones in the wrong.
Get this straight...
• you don’t know them/they’re not your friend (no matter how many times you’ve inflicted yourself into their lives)
• they don’t know you (see above^)
• they don’t belong to you
• they don’t owe you anything
No matter how many times you paid for a pic or autograph at a con or how many times you “run into them” on the street, this is not okay.
You’re going to ruin it for the respectful, normal part of fandom.
Remember: if it’s not okay for a stranger to do to you (follow you, touch you, grab you)...it is not okay for you to do it to a celebrity!!
