It’s Mixtape Monday!
Let’s do this again, but with a 90’s twist! Such a diverse musical decade, it should make for a fantastic playlist. @wanderingkat77 is by my side to put it on Spotify for us again. What was your favorite? Grunge, freestyle, hip hop, r&b, power ballads? Let’s see what gems get unearthed today. 😁
I’m tagging people who submitted last week but it’s open to everyone. Wubba Wubba Wubba, Peace Out!

Whoa. I don’t even know where to begin. I could do this all day i I had time. The 90s is my time. These are my people. I have to throw Nirvana Unplugged in, bc the whole album is timeless (but pressed for a song, Where Did You Sleep Last Night? Is prob the fav). These guys...this album...I just...[le sigh]. Jill sobule, k’s choice, 4 non blondes, the verve, blink-182, counting crows, blues traveler, foo fighters, bosstones, omg I can’t stop!😂
Two pilots engaged in Neural Bridge. Ready to activate the Jaeger in 3, 2, 1…
My aesthetic is Sebastian Stan being serious then turning into a ray of sunshine
adding these:
Everybody needs this on their Monday morning dash. Thank me later😉
This man declined the Nobel Peace Prize. He said that peace is not an achievement, but a responsibility. It’s stuff like this that gives me trust issues.
the I like to gif chris evans meme (1/?)
I just don’t see myself ever feeling the same way about you.
I never knew that was what he said (I haven’t seen it) Like scuse you Evans
Pacific Rim
Five things I’d change about Pacific Rim: 1. I’d keep the deleted scene between Chuck and Herc. We need that to understand why he’s a cunt and why we should care about his sacrifice.2. Half naked Idris Elba scene BACK IN.3. More drift memories. I want to see the connections that made the drift so strong.4. More of the original Jaegers. Tacit Ronin, Romeo Blue!5. Show me more of Oblivion Bay.
Maybe the thing you’re most scared of is exactly what you should do.
@onetomanyknives asked: Sebastian in black on black tux orblack on white tux
An excellent decision was made here @ceebeetumbles. I mean, I'll take either, but- damn
Just home
from the Ultimate Captain America marathon and premier and, I tell you, it was the best movie experience of my life. Lemme tell you why…
I went with my Marvel hetero life mate @redvelvetadg to spend 14hrs and 25mins watching Marvel movies. Money and time more than well spent. Our theater wasn’t full, maybe 75 fellow fans. The first seat you took was your seat for the day, people were in amazing moods for 7a.m, and nobody touched your stuff while you were gone. We had no rules- the theater let us come and go as we pleased and bring in whatever “outside food” we wanted, in clear violation of the theater laws. But that’s not the best part.
The best part was the camaraderie we had. Even flying solo (like I did for a while), you didn’t feel alone or judged because we were all there together for the same reason and for something we loved. There was applause at the end of the movies and we all laughed at all the inside jokes of the fandom. It was beautiful.
When the previews ran ahead of the premier, everyone groaned because we hadn’t had to wait through them with the other movies. When I bitched “Aw, God dammit. Just give us the show.”, everyone agreed. From there, I led the commentary to keep spirits up and we just got closer. It was so well received and I was never happier to help.
After the preview for Suicide Squad, and the crowd approval that followed, I told everyone “Same seats for Suicide Squad, this theater, guys. Everyone remember where you’re sitting.” and they loved it- several verbal agreements and plenty of laughs and nods. For The Secret Life of Pets, I told everyone to come if they want, I’ll be there and no one will judge. They were relieved. Some were on the fence about Dr. Strange until I reminded them “Fandom law: you must see all Marvel movies or be kicked out of the fandom”. People who said “meh” instantly changed their minds and agreed with that one most. With Independence Day, I told everyone “Guys, at this point my calendar is getting full, so why don’t we just start saying what we’re NOT going to see together.” Again agreement all around. And finally, for Rogue One, “December 16th is secret Santa” because by then we’ll all be fam.
If somehow, you were one of those beautiful strangers in the theater with me today, I loved our shared laughter, banter, and applause. When I said at the end, “Thanks everybody for doing this with me. This was awesome. I’m so glad it was with you all and not a bunch of casuals (like my husband) who just doesn’t get it. Thanks.”- I meant it from the bottom of my fangirl heart. This was the greatest experience in this fandom so far. ❤️
And as for Civil War itself? I sent this to my friend afterwards to sum it up: OHHHHH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Civil War was FUCKING BEYOND AMAZING!!!!!!! It’s everything they say it is!!!!!
My sexuality is watching Chris and Sebastian eat fucking skittles while saying really vague things.
