This is my absolute favorite scene of this entire series. Sebastian and Sigourney flawlessly lay on the feels. (Political Animals: Ep. 4. Lost Boys)

I love this gifset for two reasons, both have to do with Seb’s amazing ability to get what his characters are going through

1) If you look at the first gif you can see that Bucky isn’t as okay as he makes it seem when he’s talking to Steve. He’s definitely not his usual happy self here. (And the fact that he hides it from Steve is already interesting enough on its own, but that’s besides the point.) Okay, so given that Steve and Bucky are like brothers, then probably Bucky loved Sarah more than enough to mourn her, and you can see it here. At the same time, there’s the fact Bucky decided to look after Steve, which has to be stressful because there’s a huge difference between “I punch bullies when you’re in trouble” and “I’m the only person you have in the world now.” And Bucky is 19 here. Even assuming the Barnes will join the Keep Steve Rogers From Killing Himself effort, Bucky is young enough and protective enough to probably think it’s all on him. No pressure. Btw I encourage y’all to open CATWS right now and check the whole scene on mute and ignoring Steve – you’ll really get a sense of how Bucky couldn’t be further away from the self-confident guy we’re used to. He’s nervous and slightly out of it.

2) The second gif happens when Steve interrupts Bucky’s “I was gonna ask” with “I know what you’re gonna say, Buck.” So this is literally Bucky going “Of course he said that, why am I even surprised, that’s Classic Steve Rogers™” and this speaks volumes about how close they are. Idk if it’s direction, script or acting, but this choice here was A+++++++

So yeah. I love this gifset.
