I saw Gladiator II yesterday. I sent some very unhinged voice notes afterwards (hi, @mescalpascal).

I am saying NOTHING except this…

…Pedro’s character does not seem to actually be called Marcus Acacius. In the Colosseum (attending games for his triumph) he’s introduced as General Justus Acacius, twice. And on the credits it’s just General Acacius. Most people just call him Acacius (which, as I pointed out in a previous post, is appropriate regardless of his other name).

I will say one other thing: I love you, Justus Acacius, you beautiful, heroic man. And I hope the rest of you love him too.

I made sure to let the Costume Designers for Gladiator II (Janty Yates and David Crossman) know how good this look is!

Also they are right about his armor.
