I was thinking about the macavity fight scene, how mungojerrie goes up against him after Munkustrap falls (and Alonzo) but now I'm looking at it in munkojerrie context. Mungojerrie wanting to protect munk and checking on him after the ball to see if he's okay and maybe they have a heart to heart and grow closer. I'm having so many munkojerrie feelings!

Even though Munkustrap was the one who always swore he’d protect Mungojerrie from Macavity! And in fact persuaded him that if he gave Macavity up, he could be safe, Munkustrap would die to protect him if he had to just like any other cat who was really one of THEIRS - without that, Mungojerrie never would have got the courage to leave.

And neither would Demeter - and now it seems like that’s come true and Munkustrap MIGHT have just got himself killed protecting them, and Mungojerrie just….

…. stands up.
