A List of Anti-Muslim Incidents Since The Orlando Shooting

Monday, 6/20/16 – West Chester Township, Ohio

37-year-old Luke Michael Roberts was taken into custody after interrupting prayers at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, screaming “Jesus is Lord!”

Monday, 6/20/16 – London, Ontario

A Muslim woman was attacked at an Ontario supermarket, by an assailant wearing a red “Canada” shirt. The attacker pulled the woman’s hijab, spat on, and punched the victim in front of her 4-month old child.

Sunday, 6/19/16 – Quebec City, Quebec

Worshippers at the Islamic Cultural Center of Quebec City found a pig’s head lying outside the facility, head was gift wrapped, with a card that read “Bonne Appetit.”

Friday, 6/17/16 – Plainfield, Indiana

The headquarters of one of America’s largest Islamic groups – ISNA, was found to have 4 bullet holes in its sign.  ISNA’s head quarters has been the victim of multiple hate crimes, including being vandalized in February with “F*** ISIS” and “Sand N*****s” spray painted on walls.

Thursday, 6/16/16 – The Bronx, New York

A Muslim man on his way to prayers was attacked by a group  in the Bronx.  Atique Ashraf says he was punched from behind while he was walking to the mosque in Parkchester.  He was hospitalized briefly after the attack.

Wednesday, 6/15/16 – Tucson, Arizona

A newly arrived Syrian refugee family found a disturbing note left outside their home in Tucson, threatening them and asking them to leave the neighborhood. The note read: “Go  away killers!” and “America hates terrorist like you!”

Monday, 6/13/16 – Orlando, Florida

In the aftermath of the Orlando shooting, a mosque in Central Florida was vandalized with the tag #StopTheHate.

People acting like every Muslim is a bomb waitng to go off or that every single refugee is secretly part of some death cult. I don’t understand how these people don’t see that this kind of hatred is exactly the same kind of hatred that fuels ISIS. It makes them no better than the terrorists. They’re actually becoming terrorist themselves. #Hate it!

And Misha Collins has taken a role on a CW show that not everybody knows and changed lives globally with his efforts and with his magnanimous spirit.

He’s an example to everybody, a wonderful man. I’m so pissed off that he had that happen to him, because it’s not right, but what it shows you is, you know, shit happens - even to good people. But I want you to know - because you’re not gonna get to see him on a stage this time but you will another time - that he is a wonderful man with a wonderful spirit, and we are lucky to have him in this world and he is an example not only to me but to my children and to you and to your children. He is an excellent human being. We’re lucky to have him. […] I know he wishes he were here with you.

Matt: I also think, that being said, Rich. The a-holes that participated in that awful attack on Misha. Look out, you m-n-effers, something’s gonna rain down on you.

Richard: And I want to say, on that same point, that a lesser man would have stayed home based on vanity. And he’s here doing photos with a busted face because he loves you and he sees what you do. […] He is not letting you down because he cares that much. That’s the kind of man he is. That’s why he’s gonna come back to see you tomorrow. Because he rules. An exceptional man.

wtf someone actually followed through on the threats and ATTACKED Misha? when was this?

this was a response to something that happened at minncon in 2015. Misha was attacked then and no one in the cast was happy about it. If I recall correctly j2 went out to try and find the person who did it but never found them. Misha is fine now and, lord willing, he will continue to be fine.

Misha was mugged at night leaving some bar/restaurant. It had nothing to do with the covention, it happened the night before. J2 never tried to go out and find the guys who mugged him, they just said that they’d like to bump into them the next night. Misha had a busted lip and some bruising on his face. His panel was canceled and Misha said that Vicki wanted him to go home, but he stayed for the photo ops and M&G, where he said that he was fine.

Omg from what I can tell, basically ALL the Wincest fans seem to hate him and want him off the show, so it can be “Just the brothers” again. These fans are often referred to as Justthebrothers fans. Their hate is completely unwarranted. Misha is a gift, and Jensen and Jared LOVE HIM, especially Jensen- who has even SAID how grateful he is that Misha came on the show and how it improved everything all around. Like, how can you hate him? Or their wives? Like how can you hate the people they love so dearly?

Not all the wincest fans, any more than all the destiel fans want Jared gone. :) But there's always very strident minorities in any group who just want to stir nastiness.

So in a series of past posts, Mod E threatened to hurt Misha. My thing is, how is he gonna pull it off? He is a full time student with a part time job. He cannot drive and you really shouldn’t take his threats so seriously. So you reported us to Creation. It’s not like we had the money to go anyway so what was the point. Imo,there are better conventions to go to, such as Miku Expo and Comicpalooza.

Also, sometimes, Mod E goes into fits where he isn’t thinking clearly and his perception of everything changes,almost like he goes into another world mentally and it’s getting worse. I... do not understand people sometimes. :( Given the focus on physical disgust and the idea of Misha "hitting on me" (??!!) there's a powerful vein here of either biphobia or the kind of revulsion to flirty!Misha personally that could presumably only arise from watching lots of Cockles videos in order to stoke precisely those feelings of fury and antipathy? But how can you watch people being harmlessly happy together and not smile in response, whatever your ships and antiships?
