there are two punchlines here, the first is predictable, the second really surprises you
I love when I see videos on other sites and they find they’re way to me naturally

Here's the latest chapter of Seal the Deal! I am very excited for where this is gonna head!
collection of all the memes ive made to send to @drizznt and. i have a Theme huh
[image ID: three tumblr screenshots edited over art of artemis from the legend of drizzt. in order, the tumblr screenshots read:
"(in the voice of a guy who will defy fate to save you) i don't care"
"#literally saddest wettest most found alone in a cardboard box war criminal ever"
"my taste in fictional men is just the unstable, traumatized and dangerous ones and radiate strong "i'm not a bad dog. i'm a wounded and terrified dog that bites to survive" vibes honestly"
end ID]
[image ID: art of drizzt and artemis fighting, with a tumblr post edited over it. it reads:
"THIS ISN'T A SEX THING" i exasperatedly yell as my leitmotif and that of my mortal enemy are arranged and mixed to play as a single track during our final climatic duel.
"ON MY MOTHER'S NAME, THIS ISN'T A SEX THING" i desperately howl as my nemesis and i pull off a seamless, perfectly coordinated team attack on a greater threat, with no prior training or practice, our skills and habits mingling and mixing perfectly and naturally due to our dozens of duels with each other, leading to an immensely intimate familiarity with each other's martial habits, combat tendencies, and overall skillset.
/end ID]
that ^ is just streams of silver to like whichever book drizzt "dies" to artemis im pretty sure
also. a matched set in honor of [waves my hands at everything that happened in sellswords]
[image ID: a tumblr post edited over the same art of artemis, as well as tags edited over jarlaxle.
"so sick of dog motif what about cat motif.
i love you but we don't love the same. i can't be near you when you want me to be. your love is smothering and your need to keep me safe is trapping me. i'm my own person but i don't know how to show you that. i lash out and hurt you even though i don't mean to. i need you to move slowly around me or i'll bolt. i love you, even though i don't say it. if you stay still i'll sit next to you, and even though we don't understand each other we can be together like that."
and then edited over jarlaxle:
"#everything i've ever let go of has claw marks on it"
end ID]
i got spanish anon hate for this one btw
"Does the author respect women" is a third distinct question from either of the other two.
made a meme

Clothing has denoted social class since... oh wait since forever. Like literally. Sumptuary laws, which often designate WHO is allowed to wear WHAT (styles, fabrics, colors, accessories) have been around since ancient times. Certain clothing has denoted whether you are in the royal court and what specific rank you have (like the colors of wonsam in Korea - which also has this fascinating history with enormous wigs and whether they're legal). Prostitutes in many medieval European cities had a particular "uniform" to make them immediately visually identifiable from "virtuous" women, and Jewish people in medieval Europe likewise have been forced to wear certain kinds of clothing and accessories so everybody knew they were Jewish (yes, like the Jewish star during the Holocaust). Women in England and France during the French Revolution cut their hair hella short to indicate their sympathy with the French aristocracy, who had all their hair cut off in preparation for execution at the guillotine. Women wearing trousers in various situations from the 19th century to the late 20th century could be a revolutionary political act. Black women in the 1960s wore their hair in an afro as an expression of pride in their heritage and culture. I wear t-shirts with trans-inclusive Pride flags - and lots of other US Americans, perhaps like derek guy up there, wear Confederate flags - to advertise adherence to particular causes, political parties, and identities. Dress is inherently, universally, eternally, deeply intertwined with politics.
Very romantic.

SOMEONE FINALLY PUT IT INTO WORDS!!!
guYS THE FUCKING SIGNS
Studying history turns you into Cassandra. Yep, checks out.
the other day I was taking a walk when I saw this old guy trapped under a cart. people were trying to help him but it was too heavy so I stepped forward and lifted it off him (I work out a lot.) then, this old police inspector told me I had to be a convict because of how strong I was. I looked him straight in the eye and said, “it’s 1815. anyone can be strong, including non felons, women, and gay people. the only person who’s weak here is you.” he started crying and gave me fifty crowns while everyone clapped, even the nuns
i literally can’t listen to tik tok by kesha without thinking about that goddamn star trek tos fanvid…you know the one
this fucking video
Congrats to the creator of this video for being the only funny person on the internet ever
And now you know what perfection looks like
Best part:
‘That Kesha tweet was probably faked …’ *checks* ‘… HUH.’
If your democrat friends start muttering about stolen election conspiracy theories, the time to have a sit down with them and express your concerns is NOW, while you still have a chance to reach them, not 6 months from now when they're fully conspiracy-pilled.
Here's some of the talking points and why they're bullshit:
But just as importantly as the facts: sit down with your friend and talk about the anxiety that's behind their conspiracy leanings. Acknowledge their pain and fear. Help them find ways to feel less powerless and regain their sense of agency. Take them to a mutual aid event, involve them in a fundraising event for a marginalized group, invite them to a local community effort. If they spend more time feeling connection and empowerment and less time doom scrolling online, they're far more likely to stay in reality.
It’s wild to me to see transvestigator conspiracy theories online that could be so easily explained by natural human variation. That woman has a deep voice? Yeah, sometimes they do. A woman has broad shoulders?? Maybe she plays rugby or hits the gym a fuckton. There’s a “bulge” in her tight pants?? Maybe her vulva is just fat. All the “markers” of trans woman that transvestigators use to harass any woman aren’t even things unique to trans women.
Transphobes talk about women like they’re Barbies. Have you forgotten the existence of cameltoe? Tiny boobs? Narrow hips? Broad shoulders? Why do you think choirs have altos and not just sopranos? What do you think female athletes look like? Do you think a woman that lifts weights and plays contact sports will look like a 90s supermodel? At what point in history did we collectively forget that human bodies have natural variability???
fucking australia’s trying to get everyone to link their government id to their social media accounts else you cant use them anymore, the actual fuck is wrong with this country
please, actually, get fucking mad over this, the entirety of australia basically just banned all social media for anyone who doesnt want to give up their privacy to the government, there was no vote on this, no nothing, they just went ahead and fucking passed this ridiculously privy law and barely anybody’s talking about it the actual fuck
okay so to actually explain what exactly is happening, it’s an age thing. theyve used ‘protect the children’ and ‘let kids be kids’ as a weapon again. anyone under 16 is banned from social media, but to enforce this they have openly admitted everyone will need to link their government id to their social media. this whole ‘protect the kids’ thing was a very obvious trojan horse for getting ppl to give up their privacy.
and yknow, that alone is a very shitty law even without the whole surrendering your private information to the government thing.
theyve made outside uninhabitable, there’s nowhere left to go. public areas have degenerated, theyve turned hanging out into a crime with loitering, streets feel unwalkable sometimes, parents are more wary of letting their kids walk around on their own than they used to be, and now theyre trying to ban one of the main ways kids manage to distract themselves inside the house.
when i was 15 i was depressed and lonely, unable to leave the house very far, no friends, nobody. the one place that helped me feel less alone was online communities. i wouldve killed myself if it werent for the support i recieved on there. and now theyre trying to ban that for future generations, in a world that hates them being both outside and inside.
and even still, this is still a fucking trojan horse to get you to give up your privacy.
I started playing Warhammer 40k: Space Marine today and found one of my new favourite guard characters (and possible new fiction crush). For those who know about 2nd Lieutenant Mira, you’ll know where this is going. For those who don’t, I’d like to introduce you to one of the best guard characters.
This is 2nd Lieutenant Mira of the 203rd Cadian Shock Troops Regiment.
She’s not overly attractive by conventional standards, I would say mostly average, but by the Emperor is she a great leader. During an Ork invasion, she was able to essentially single handedly establish defenses. Yes, she wasn’t the original leader, but after all her superiors died, she was able to hold the defenses for way longer than anyone thought.
Not only is she skilled in combat, but she also cares about her men and those she is protecting. She is smart enough to know when a battle isn’t worth fighting because it is a waste of men, but also can encourage her troops to fight when she knows they can win.
And last but not least… she is able to work with space marines and treats them as just other soldiers. Space Marines have a tendency to be high pompous assholes, which is encouraged by how people talk to them. They are genetically modified 7ft tall super soldiers who are considered essentially demigods by most people. Mira though? She treats them with respect, but above that, there’s none of the groveling, none of the “we are blessed by the presence of you, the Emperor is watching over us” bs. She treats them more as colleagues or just superior officers.
In conclusion, 2nd Lieutenant Mira is an overall badass and a great leader. Fucking love this character.
Mira is amazing and a queen ❤️
i just want the EC to be respected. okay. as they are. not just the pre heresy version of them. not some macho masculine version of them. as they are. with all their problems and beauty and messy infighting and substances and queercoding and everything. can we just be respected. please
THIS POST MUST BE REBLOGGED BY EVERYONE
@wolf-tail SAY IT WITH YOUR WHOLE CHEST THIS IS A RYLANOR HATING HOUSEHOLD
Genuinely the most annoying types of 40k fans worship the guy
I'm not too versed on EC lore, but I've always been marginally fond of rylanor, what's the issue with him? /gen
a lot of imperium fanboys venerate him to an extreme degree because of the whole waiting with a virus bomb situation. this is often couched in a lot of subtly homophobic language in regards to fulgrim, as well as just getting details fully wrong to make rylanor seem cooler than he is (for example, they’ll often claim he killed fulgrim which is, not true; he didn’t even banish fulgrim from realspace, fulgrim just got a little scuffed up)
this would be annoying enough on its own, but it’s set a precedent for there to be fanmade dregs of loyalist EC just waiting for the chance to dunk on their fallen “””””degenerate””””” effeminate chaos counterparts
