Real Name: Theresa Maeve Rourke Cassidy

Aliases: Siryn, Banshee, Morrigan

First Appearance: Spider-Woman(1st series) #37

Powers: Manipulates her vocal chords to generate hypersonic frequencies that act as a sonic scream to shatter, liquefy or disintegrate solid matter, repels objects to shield herself or fly through the air, emit sonar pulses to map out her surroundings or scramble incoming wavelength probes. Focus her sonics at another person to cause nausea and dizziness, render them unconscious or deafened. Hypnotically controls their minds or make sthem experience intense adoration for her. Superhuman hearing and a resistance to intense sound.

Background: Theresa Cassidy was born to Sean Cassidy , the first Banshee and Maeve Rourke. While Sean was away on a mission for INTERPOL. Not long after her birth her mother was killed by a bomb blast and she was taken in and cared for by her uncle, Thomas Cassidy a.k.a. Black Tom. When Sean finally returned home from his mission to find Maeve dead, he directed his anger toward his brother Tom for not looking after her, Tom never told Sean about his daughter allowing Sean to believe that Theresa had died with her mother, she was then raised by his uncle. When her mutant powers developed she started working with her uncle in his dangerous criminal activities, Siryn would then join the mutants on Muir Island then X-Force, as deputy leader and later on X-Factor.

Best Issues:  X-Force #31 (her origin), Uncanny X-Men #148 (meeting his father for the first time),  Fallen Angels #1-2(goes to live on Muir island, helps Jamie Madrox and Moira Mactaggert to search for two missing members of the New Mutants), Deadpool #1-4 (teams up with his father to find Black Tom and makes friends with Deadpool), X-Force #90 (her vocal chords are damaged after a fight and faces the possibility of being mute for the rest of her life), Wolverine (2nd series) #154-155 (Deadpool arranges for her powers to be permanently restored with a serum derived of Wolverine’s healing factor), X-Factor #1 (joins X-Factor Investigations alongside Jamie Madrox and shows a new aspect of her power),
