Wake Up, Link by James Boorman
A little reflection on botw memory #7
Studio Ghibli-inspired Breath of the Wild Poster made by Lyndon Willoughby
This was fun editing practice for me. Maybe others might find some enjoyment in it to!
Thoughts on BotW and LoZ in general below...
My friend got me an adorable watercolor BotW Link at Momocon since I couldn’t go....I felt it needed a matching Zelda! <3
Finished Breath of the Wild...so now every practice piece of mine will center around Zelda for a while.
Spoiler question under the cut!

Sheikah eye animation I created for my real world Sheikah Slate which can be seen here.
In celebration of the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild releasing this Friday, here is a real world Sheikah Slate! (aka: elaborate iPad mini case)
My friend, Charlie Skinner, and I made it over the summer of 2016 (after I saw the E3 trailer and decided I needed one). It turned out so much better than I ever expected ^___^
Check out how we made it here!

Many thanks to friend and coworker Charlie Skinner for his awesome 3D modeling skills and patience with the 3D printer!
Charlie modeled the slate to work as a case for my iPad mini to fit in. After he 3D-printed the pieces, we sanded the print for a good 8 hours to smooth it out. I then recreated the look of the slate’s screen in Adobe After Effects, and uploaded the loopable video to the iPad. Trying to create a glowing effect in the paint job was a challenge, but texturing the slate to look more like stone was a lot of fun! I used some leather strips to complete the handle.
::drags up from the depths of the computer:: HECK YEAH IT’S ALMOST HERE
